Max draws another arrow ... holding a second to steady his aim ... with a low hum he imbues the arrow with his arcane energy, he releases it at Hildr (Drabbin if Hildr is down before then) ... twang Swift Action - Arcane Strike

Holding his hand up to the rest of the party for them to wait, quietly, "Skel, this is important. They told me I could trust you, you are going places. There are pathfinder spies amongst you here. Hildar and Drabbin are both in on it, slipping secrets to the ... ", Max goes from open palm held up for 'wait' to swooping his hand down in a point gesture towards the two Aspis as a signal to move, a pause allowing his party to take action then .... his voice now amplified for all to hear, "pathfinder scum ... Kill them! to Skel, "Stay back unless it's necessary, we need your help to get to the other spies." initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 Max draws his bow, and fires at Hildar .... bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Max quietly says to one of his companions, "Get into optimal positions to take the Hildar and Drabbin out, I am going to secure Skell." On Caesar Max causally rides forward, weapons left on his hip, sitting relaxed and non-intimidating. In an attempt to avoid any further interaction with Hildar and Drabbin he says, "I have messages for each of you, Skell first." Max rides slowly enough to allow the other's in his party to move. Max thinks, Skell could be a great asset in getting through this ruin, but these other two, they won't buy out ruse for long ... Hoping that a roll is not yet necessary as I am not really interacting with them yet ... but here it is if you want it. bluff: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Max try's to remember, thinking and whispering to those near him,"Do aspis have "badges"? If they do maybe I can try to prestidigitate a passible (from this distance) fasciimile. For that matter, even if I don't know what it looks like a quick fake could buy us some time. Knowledge Local?: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 Prestidigitating a badge is my main goal, but I will also walk south until across from them and state, "We're all friends here. Charm Person DC 15 - will negates Hoping that he is not Aspis Max thinks "This man may also have no love of the Aspis. But Aspis or not, the man may be a good source of information and may even be convinced to fight along side the us. We will need to get him to get Hildr and Drabbin to stand down though." Of course all of this hinges on Max's spell succeeding. He has never cast Charm in a life and death situation before. How exhilarating! Max states to the party not to harm the man if his spell succeeds. Max attempts to identify the man as local to the temple, or an Aspis. knowledge: 1d20 ⇒ 6 +2 to +8 depending on the knowledge

"It looks like we are crossing that tree or the ice ... again though, I am not eager to fall in the drink." With a gesture and a melodic phrase ... "I've been crawling in the dark looking for the answer ..." Clearly just a portion of a longer song, Max trails off. Max uses Sift to search the tree from distance. Max stops singing and takes in the surroundings. Well, it looks like we'll need to get across that tree, or the ice to get into the temple ... I don't have a good feeling about this." Not wanting to trust the ice Max does his best to examine the tree from his current vantage point for any surprises. "... tree. ice, or follow these walkways ... anyone see another way ... personally I would prefer to die in a tree than under a sheet of ice in frigid stagnant water."

"Just errands for the Lodge so far, but no, not much work for the Society yet. That is a beautiful flute Crin! I would love to swap techniques!" Excited by the interest in his craft, Max forgets he was trying to be stealthy. His newly acquired riding dog was not managing it well anyhow. "Maiden Danced at Dawn? Let me see ... hmm ..." Max clears his throat, "might this be it?" Max softly sings so as not to attract the attention of whatever is making the noise.

At the bottom of the entry box, there's the button for showing formatting options ... "show". Dice are included in there with other options ... it's (dice=Perception)1d20 + 3; 1d6 + 2(/dice) Instead of parentheses ( ) use brackets [ ] (I had to use parentheses so it did not convert it to a roll and hide the formatting.) Instead of writing "perception" you could put anything there, like we just did "Perception, for looking around" in the recent post. The above example rolls two dice ... as follows. Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 141d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 And once it's in there, even if you go back and edit your post, the original number rolled stays. Pretty cool. The photo at this link shows my comment entry box. You can see near the middle the "Show" button. In the image I have clicked it and the formatting options have shown up. Dice formatting is the last example.

Looking around, Max takes in the environment looking for any obvious threats. "Did ol' Zey tell us how we get back? I agree we are not prepared for an extended stay in this cold and I don't think that temple sounds too inviting." Sinching up the saddle on his riding dog, Ceasar, Max looks back at the party, "Unless someone has a better idea I say we head in ... quietly ... I feel the quicker we get this one wrapped up and into the chronicles the better." Max mounts up, and prepares to head in ... Perception, looking for hazards: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Check this out. Looks like a potentially great mapping solution for pbp (where really you just need a shared map). http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/3dvirtualtabletop/3d-virtual-tabletop-v isually-stunning-rpgs-on-ipad?ref=live I currently use Roll20 for all my maps or face to face gaming. The dynamic lighting is excellent.

"Fascinating!" exclaims Max Kesi the Gnome bard as he pushes past the towering legs of half-orc and human fellow pathfinders. Dispensing with pleasantries, and interested only in the wonders of the ancient tapestry Max walks up to the tapestry, lighting it with a wayfinder to study the images while trying to recollect what he knows of the Vanaras, their temples, and the Vudran Jungle. Spoilers are [spoiler@=Movie plot spoiler]This is a spoiler, such as revealing who really did frame Roger Rabbit.[/spoiler] DON'T PUT THE @ ... This is RyanH, now posting as Max Kesi ... Okay ... finally have a character (there are SO MANY characters I want to play!) I have not yet done a Bard, we seemed to need a buffer/skill monkey. I went Gnome (mainly for the extra languages via "Gift of Tongues".) Things needing GM approval 1- I applied this character to my first PFS character 36007-1 that had three chronicles, but never had a character created (we be goblins and two modules I gm'd, but had already played). This makes me level 2. I am more than happy to instead make this a 0 chronicled firsty. 2- I purchased a riding dog (basically to up my speed). Let me know if this is an issue, I am more than happy to dump him. My handle animal and ride are low so it should be interesting. Here he is (he's also in the Max Kesi Profile ... I have some more equipment I plan to buy ... Max Kesi
