It's probably for the best too, having a climb speed that only allowed you to climb trees would probably be pretty disappointing in a lot of campaigns.

That's why I had to ask. It seems many lower level feats are more situational than one would hope.

As such, it made sense that the Level 9 Cave Climber description was more generous and explicit, ("After years of crawling and climbing through caverns, you can climb easily anywhere you go. You gain a climb Speed of 10 feet"). Especially since Tree Climber is only available to Tailed or Treedwelling Goblin heritages, and Cave Climber boosts that specific situational (forested) climb Speed.

I'm probably overestimating the value of having a climb Speed but no complaints here at all. Thanks again, everyone

Outstanding, thank you

"Your time in forest or jungle canopies has taught you how to scramble across branches with sure feet. You gain a climb Speed of 10 feet. If you also have the Cave Climber ancestry feat, your total climb Speed increases to your land Speed when climbing trees."

The climb Speed in the description has no condition. The name of the feat suggests it's only when climbing trees; the Cave Climber feat is specific in its description.

Tl;dr Can my Tailed Goblin PC get a blanket 10 ft. climb Speed at level 5?
