Hi guys! Posting it on all my pbps.

Our offshore team at work is very affected by the pandemic at the moment and with the fiscal year approaching to an end, our reduced capacity is terribly affecting my time. For the next several weeks it will likely impact me in such way that I simply won't be able to keep up with the forums, things normalizing only as we start approaching mid June.

For the games where I play, GMs please feel free to bot the characters. If you don't desire to bot me for so long, I completely understand, apologize for the late notice and wish you all the best of fun. If you hold me around, though, I should be back after this storm.

For the games where I host, my sincerest apologies to the players - I won't let you hanging so if you stick around until my return we will give it continuation as normal. Otherwise, please message me and once I'm back I'll recruit replacements.

To everybody, I'm sorry for the late notice and I hope we will continue playing together once I'm back!

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 I think that finding tracks would be Survival, but it's the same +2

Mashaka looks around as well, as soon as the trail ends - and is surprisingly competent at doing so, despite the fact that she keeps hopping and swirling around while doing it.

Survival: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

She taps her long clawed nails against each other.

Well, that feat is not in the "pre-approved" list of resources, but it seems fun so I'll allow it. Note that you still need Precise Shot to shoot into melee.

Thanks man! My apologies for using a feat without asking first (it was just pure reflex). I thought it was a good one for her theme... If I can at some point in the future advance her on the Holy Vindicator prestige class, then I'll have to get Elemental Channel or Alignment Channel before she gets to BAB 5.

Mashaka is updated! I got Channel Ray as my feat.

Mashaka giggles as well and hops around in circles. Sometimes she swings her weapon up, as if still trying to hit something flying around her that only she can see.

That's alright! I'm not sure if you rolled the enemy's Will by the way (it's DC 12), and he takes only half damage if he makes it

Mashaka channels once again, feeling that - despite the low damage - it might end up being the most effective thing she's able to do.

I believe I can always exclude me automatically, and will exclude at least Brand and Elan. On the position I am, however, I believe Elan is out of the wave reach

Mashaka tries to position herself in such way that the least allies are within her range, and then channels pure entropy to hurt the enemy - excluding whoever she can from the waves.

Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4 Selective Channeling to exclude up to 2 people - I believe I might be able to hurt only the demon

Attack: 1d20 - 2 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (19) - 2 - 1 + 1 = 17 Shield bash, cold iron, AoO
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

The changeling gets ready as she approaches, but this time she tries to use her regular weapon - tired of missing with the shield.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 1 + 1 = 4

Yet, she misses completely.

This was her first-level feat :) but attributes are too low, so I can only exclude two people at this point

Yeah, definitely. I didn't want to change it mid action, but I'll be switching it on the next turn, at least until he has suffered some wounds! Clerics aren't really too martial, and I originally wanted to design her to focus on her channel (this didn't quite work right!)

The penalty is because she's trying to shield bash (with the cold iron shield) and she isn't proficient with it as a weapon

Mashaka takes the opportunity as the enemy approaches:

Attack: 1d20 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 2 - 1 = 16
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Cold Iron

And then, on her turn, she tries to bash it again:

Mashaka moves to the door and readies to attack it if he comes closer or tries to flee.

Mashaka is even more clueless than her usual, so she approaches Brand slowly - towering a bit over him - and says...

Well, yes, I guess we could all make out! I'm not much into the scratchy beard, though.

If we can't see it, we should try to smell it! Or lick it. - says Mashaka, looking around, and curiously almost making sense.

... Or, perhaps, it's one of those blue moons that the cranberry birds talked about. - she completes with precision.

She will try to buy, yes :) I think she can afford it after the division

The changeling shakes her head in agreement with Brand.

We should head to toes out! - she expertly complements.

Updating here as I didn't see the updates - so sorry for the delay. Mashaka had only 17 gold with her, but after the division, she can likely pay for the cold iron shield, I'd hope.

Mashaka nods in agreement to rest for the evening, and literally passes out a little after that.

Mashaka approached Brand with a genuine smile in her face. She thanked him with unparallelly skilled words.

Maybe you are a square! In a world of flowers and the color purple. - she said, immediately skip jumping outside while holding both of her ears open.

Mashaka taps her own shield, pointing at it with her claws. She was clearly not interested in the weapons, mostly looking around and hoping to find the same cold iron material applied to a shield instead. As she walked around, she'd whistle without much worry.

The heavy "cold iron" shield should cost 40 gold (double of the heavy steel shield, I guess?). Am I thinking it right?

Maybe the shield idea would work? Being clerics proficient with shields, I'd guess I could try to shield bash with them?

At least, it's probably easier to find a heavy cold iron shield than a cold iron split-sword :D

Mashaka uses a very exotic weapon, and it is also her holy symbol. I guess she could carry something else for these scenarios, but she wouldn't be able to use most of her cleric stuff during such fights (unless she doesn't wear a shield, I guess? Or maybe if she tries to find a cold iron shield and uses it to bash?)

Ooh, I like Magnimar! She was a nice lady. - says Mashaka, "surprisingly" a little lost in regards to the city of Magnimar.

Mashaka stops. She stays frozen for moments, and slowly, slowly, turns on her heels towards the teenager. Steps ahead, eyes wide open - one brown, the other a light blue, looking almost blind - she approaches. Still in complete silence, for instants it's really tough to understand what's going to happen - until the changeling starts smiling.

The skinny, dusty, messy hair cleric of madness stays there, and her smile keeps opening revealing teeth pointy, broken and yellow as if they had constantly chewed at rocks. The whole thing is as scary as the smile of an evil and playful fey. Her hands stay in her own hips, revealing nails sharp as long like claws - and while they're obviously piercing the clothes and skin their owner, Mashaka doesn't seem minimally bothered by it.

Pastry! - she finally yells from the top of her lungs, immediately laughing out loud, until finally crumbing into a whisper to the teenager - Like a robin in the deep bottom of a muddy lake. Tee-hee!

Dangerously dressed in madness!

Mashaka comes trotting, adding her take on the happenings.

These boots are made for walking! - she starts - Howling to the seas, as any good elk would do. A fork, perhaps.

Her expert and complete description of the events is impressive. Her depictions are truly lively.

Despite not clearly speaking, Mashaka seemed very much aligned with Brand, as she just started hopping behind him as if nothing was happening moments ago.

I'm sure he's very likely to escape, but to be honest... We're clearly not equipped to properly deal with it. I think we would eventually complete it, but this will take us weeks in a PbP lol even with the GM "dummying" him down

I feel as if the bread is burning, and we're in a jungle of carrots. - says Mashaka, bringing up an important point.

Mashaka tries to assist Brand in an awkward way - smiling, open arms, almost as if hugging both him and the foe in a loving manner.

CMB: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 2 = 12 Aid Another - not sure if she provokes to aid another in a grapple check, since she doesn't have improved grapple

If only mammoths could swim! - said the changeling, as she missed another thrown rock to aid Elan.

To be honest, at this point we should be considering fleeing. This thing has some sort of fast healing or regeneration and we're barely scratching him, and then he's healing again. This feels like a huge waste of time and resources! :(

Mashaka "understands" the strategy to try to aid Elan with his ranged attacks, and tries to do the same - using her sling.

Hoping I can do the same... At this point it's basically flee or try to boost someone more capable to deal with this annoyance!

Mashaka starts shooting sling bullets at the demon, trying to at least keep some pressure at him... Or maybe distract him... Or likely distract only her!

Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Seeing her channels weren't being of much effect, Mashaka pulled a dagger and threw at the enemy.

Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Frustrated, the changeling just looked at the others... Considering retreating.

GM: Are you rolling his save for my channels? Keep in mind I'm not channeling negative energy, but "entropy", and going for damage. Do I notice if it's having any effect at all?

Once again the Changeling channels - not sure why the creature is so resistant against its effects, but insisting to the best of her... Sanity.

Mashaka moves all the way to a corner of the room, outside most of her companions reach, and selectively channels pure entropy.

Selective channel, DC 12 for half damage (which would be 1 as well, lol :P)

The changeling steps towards the devil, trying to swing at it with her split sword.

I see a little silhouette of a man... - she replies affirmatively towards no one, shaking her head in agreement (with herself maybe).
