This is interesting. I left a RotRL game due to it shifting from what it originally was to a homebrew setting.

This character is built with 20 pb and it is a musket master gunslinger. Will change it to the bolt ace when I get to my computer.

Hello Everyone again. Alright, I think we'll also figure out how many times we want people to post here. Since it looks like we are all looking for this to pick up after all.

So for post rates, I know I favor, and prefer maybe once a day post rate. What do you guys think? And I think this needs to be for everyone participating in this PBP. People that would be absent should need to let us know if they are busy or something so they could be botted if needed so we can continue at the rate we're posting. But would depend on the GM their self.

Do you guys have any ideas on how many posts you'd want to see daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly or some sort?

Well, looks like we're at the consensus of everyone is to continue the AP, but is alright with seeing homebrew stuff added. If I am reading things correctly.

So, what are we going to do?

Tas: Wishes to see this continue, and hopes things picks up in terms of posting.

Mary: Wants to also see this game continue, see posting pick up, and continue with the story.

Tsakua: Wants to continue the game with everyone here. Wants to see what happens between him and the Vinders. But doesn't mind if the story changes.

Kent: Wants to continue the game. Doesn't mind if the story is changed.

GM DSP: Wouldn't mind seeing this continue, but wouldn't mind changing the story to tell it easier.

I hope I got that all correctly.

It was nice to play with you for that time. Thank you for joining us.

Going back to the game in hand. For me, I still wish to play RotRL. While I can understand it is a bit... Railroady, it might be slightly needed. Though who says as GM, you can't add your own little touches here and there.

Maybe a townsfolk that we helped came by and let us know of something that happened in town. And they'd like us to look into it. It would be a plot hook and will get us to follow up to the next destination. Which is completely understandable story wise, since we became hero's of a small town. Who wouldn't want to have such brave people check out something that went bump in the night. Though I doubt it will happen again like it did with the Vinders.

And possibly, GM, you could look at the AP as a guideline of major events, with add your own little touches in between those events.

I am kinda in the same boat. I hope things pick up and we get more into the story of this AP and the stories of our characters.

And I also agree with you about dwindling resources. I really want to replenish Mary's ammunition for her musket. Sure she can fight with a sword, but that isn't where her training lies.

"Right then. Shall we go to that board then?" Mary points off to the distance, which is apparently down an allyway. She looks ahead for about a minute and then she slumps her shoulders. Turning to the rest of the group, with a dejected look upon her face. "Um, where is the garrison?"

Looks like the plan for now. We have no other leads. So lets see about improving our reputation around town.

"Well... The reason other than just money, is that with a bit of work around town, we'll improve our reputation." Mary says. Looking down at the road, she shifts her feet slightly before looking back up. "And maybe by then people may trust us a bit more. At least that is what I think." As she finishes with a shrug.

Sighing at what was found out, Mary simply shrugs. "Well, that could have went better." Scratching the back of her head, she looks towards the others. "Well, I have no idea to go from here. So does anyone have any ideas? Or maybe we can do some work around town or something?"

Finishing her breakfast, Mary wipes her mouth with a handkerchief. "Mmm... Well, if we are all ready, we can head out and talk to a few of those people we freed from that warehouse. Between all of us, we should have a decent chance at figuring out what kind of language they were speaking." She notes the serving woman helping out for breakfast at the Inn, she thanks her for her trouble. "Ya know, we should head on out for the day. Shall we?" She stands and motions to the exit.

"I have already ordered breakfast, so lets at least discuss on what languages we know so far." Mary leans forward and places her elbows on the table. "The languages I know of are only Taldane Common and Thassilonian. Not much, but it helps with archeological work. So what does everyone else know of in terms of what they are able to speak?" She looks at everyone gathered at the table.

Mary pats Kent on the back. "And we'll help. Anyway, good night. And hopefully we will have something to do about it tomorrow." She smiles softly and nods. And begins to head upstairs to her room.

Once in her room, she will make sure all her equipment and such are in order, and checks out the glass figure of the bird she got from the festival. Sighing, she gets ready for bed and sleeps the night through.

In the morning after getting ready, Mary heads down stairs with her usual gear and her musket slung across her back. "Morning." As she said a bit quietly. Deciding to get something to eat, she heads over to the bar to ask for a meal and then heads to a vacant table. Wondering what to do, she can't help to feel sad for Kent. To loose nearly everything except what you have upon your own back. I honestly don't know what I would do. I mean, I apparently lost an uncle recently that I didn't really know well. And that is about it. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes she relaxes waiting for her meal.

Though while she waits, she looks around the the room to see if any of those people were still around. If they are, she intends to figure out what the language they heard sounded like.

So if there are a few still around since last night, Mary wants to see if the language they heard sounds similar to Thassilonian. And when the others come, she will ask them to see if they have any languages they know that might sound similar as well.

Settling in with the others, Mary orders a light ale to sooth her mind over the evening's events. Listening to the conversation, she tilts her head in thought. "I doubt they would bother me as well. Almost all my valuables are with me now. Aside from a glass bird I got from the festival." She shrugs. "And other creatures do use the goblin language. I heard it a couple times spoken back at Skyreach. And heard it was spoken by... Um." She looks deep in thought a few seconds. "Bugbears... Hob Goblins, and Worgs. If I remember correctly. But why would a angry dog know goblin? They can't speak!" She absentmindedly adds. She shakes her head when she receives her mug. She looks down the bar towards her allies. "Well, anything could be possible. Heck, could be the words of dragons for all we know. And we can't figure it out until we find out what they heard, I mean by how they heard it."

Mary thinks when asked about languages. Hmm... It could be any number of languages. Hallit, Kelish... Heck. It could even be a planar language of Abyssal or Celestial. Most likely it might be a dead language, like Thassilonian. That might be the one. "While I only know two well, there are many languages out there. From national or race, to even planar. Even dead languages like Thassilonian, which I know quite well. But it could have been anything."

"Alright." As Mary replies with a nod. When they meet up with the others, she frowns. "Maybe we can talk back at the Rusty Dragon more about what we figured out. Just that I know that the Fatman's Feedbag is a dubious place, and we shouldn't patronize it at all in the future."

Mary ponders the situation. Right now, there are five against three. And we're the ones out numbered, not a good sign there. But that is not the troubling part. He wants Kent to attack. To fight, and possibly kill without having to worry about the consequences. In self defense. She glances at Kent. He is really high strung right now, but it sounds like he is getting a balanced head again. But even so, a fight here will be unfavorable to us. The territory just isn't favorable either. No range for me or Tas. And Kent can be pushed into a corner and kept there. Or flanked easily.

Mary sighs. We can't do this. As much as we don't like it, the odds are just too much stacked against us. Kent can bunk up with me or something so he has a place to sleep. I wonder if Ameiko will allow it. She places a hand on Kent's shoulder. "Kent. Its time to calm down, it has become a dead end so far, and getting into a fight here isn't worth it for anyone." She tries to usher Kent to the door. "Lets get going. We'll figure something out tomorrow, alright?"

After looking towards the boots of the men in the room, Mary notes that none of them look dirty or muddy. "Kent, we are with you, but I am beginning to see evidence that sides with them. And now is a good time to think." She ponders a bit then turn to the leader of the men. "I do have a final question if you may allow it. But may I ask, would there be anyone that is against you? Other than my friend here. Maybe they might be the ones that started this." As she tries to asked kindly.

Mary moves in beside Kent with her weapon slung across her back, yet can be retrieved easily enough. With this paused for a bit, she looks at Kent. "Right, lets calm down." She looks towards the group of people towards the back of the room. Especially glancing looks towards their boots. She thinks; Maybe if there is dirt on it similar, maybe those would be the ones that did it. She continues. "As our friend outside said, we came here for the people who torched my friend's home." She turns back to Kent. "And just launching your strikes like that could very well end up hit someone that didn't deserve it at all. And might have just happened now. So calm down, and just watch, alright."

She looks towards the finely dressed, if yet disheveled man. "My apologizes for Kent's action today, but I will not apologize for his anger. We know three people gathered up the townsfolk around Kent's home, and stuck them into a warehouse with no way out. Even killed two men while they were at it!" She takes a breath to regain composure. "And then tossed lit oil into his home to burn it down." Mary glances at Kent then continues again, clearly not done. "And yet, it was sloppy. Oh so sloppy. Leaving evidence of the ignition of the fire, imprisonment of people that had nothing to do with it, and tracks that lead all the way back here." As she gestures to the ground behind her. "And those tracks were that of heavy boots, which most of your friends wearing such boots." Mary takes a deep breath. "So three of your Friends possibly have nearly included your business as a location of interest in this crime. Bringing undue scrutiny onto you."

I got a feeling you had enough time to get your ability off. But I must say that if you got that now, you might not be so lucky later on. And I have to ask, does Tas have color spray? I think that might be very useful in this situation. O.o

Following it along, Mary can't help but smile at the little skunk that is assisting in the search. But continuing along makes it hard when it ends to the back door of another Tavern in Sandpoint.

Mary looks around and wonders what is going on. Why to a Tavern? This is weird. She turns to Kent and Tas and speaks in a quiet tone as she wipes her forehead with the back of her hand. "Well, I don't know what to say. We followed the tracks, and it lead to the back door of this Tavern. Do you guys know what place this is?"

I got a feeling Mary still doesn't know much of Sandpoint at this time. Since Mary only been in town for... 3 days now?

It is just a part of her. Just like any trained forces, she has a combat time, then she has her off time.

Right now, Mary knows that Luminita and Tsakua will take care of the villagers. So she will endeavor to help Kent find the people responsible. So it shifts from making sure the villagers are safe to making sure Kent and Tas are okay.

And Mary hasn't shown how logical she can be yet, I think. But when relaxed, you can easily tell she has fun. After all, why would she follow Cayden if she couldn't have any fun! :P

You know, I feel like I should explain something by how Mary has shifted into a more serious tone.

The reason for this shift, I'd have to say that it is due to her training in the Pathfinder Society. And being jumped by goblins that nearly killed her to boot! So she is relying on such trained skills to make sure no one gets hurt tonight.

Except maybe the ones that did all of this.

When they arrive to the dilapidated warehouse, Mary looks around. Maybe try to see about if there is any recent activity or see if there are other ways in. She does so quietly so not to rouse suspicion to her searching.

I think someone came here to do something. And most likely did it to your smithy! They lead back into the town proper." She points towards where she found the tracks.

"Then there shouldn't be much of a problem. Basically act as the town watch and if something minor happens, we'll take care of it. We become more liked, and more trusted. And maybe people might seek us out for other things." Mary looks towards Kent. "After helping out, you might get more work at your smithy, right Kent?" She then looks towards Luminita. "And maybe the town will seek your wisdom Luminita. More so, since it has been tested by helping out the town." She looks at everyone else at the table. "And once Sheriff Hemlock returns, maybe we can investigate local sites where those goblins roam. Maybe even Thistletop as well!... She looks someone curious after hearing herself say Thistletop. "...Wait, that sounds interesting, may I ask why such a place is called 'Thistletop'?"

Mary will try to recall anything she may have heard of Thistletop, but she not holding her breath.
