Just heard the news:

here

Fond memories of the New Avengers and watching repeats of the original (and much better) Avengers tv programme.

Staying in the genre he was also Mr Waverly's replacement in the '80s Man from UNCLE tv movies and had a cameo in (the otherwise awful) The Avengers movie (the British spy one, in this case).

What a year :-(

My group (six characters, high stats, experienced players) find even the 6-player conversion a cake-walk. I'm considering upgrading the drake to a full green dragon (CR 8). I was wondering if anyone else had done something similar and what the results were?

With a plethora of players soon to gain the ability of flight (or summon stuff that can) I fell I need to get they aerial movement down pat. The rules on flying do seem quite vague though, even after searching the older threads so I'm looking for a little guidance. The real issue with me is changing altitude and maybe I'm not sure whether the concept is based on the idea of the air being filled with 5' cubes for 3d tactical movement or if altitude is just a declared state.

For example: a raven has a fly speed 40 (8 squares) and wishes to perform a simple 45-degree climb. Does the player move the bird 4 squares (half speed) and simply announce that the new altitude is 20' higher OR does he count distance as if moving diagonally on a tactical grid? The first case would mean he has moved four squares along and four squares up, the second would be three squares along and three up (due to the 1-2-1-2 diagonal movement rules). And what if the flyer was moving diagonally on the battle grid to start with - do multiple diagonals stack?

Cheers for your help

....with character creation (and 3 halflings! That'll take the edge of the tone)!

The method was point-buy (High Fantasy) this seemed to give a pleasing array of ability scores. The players didn't think them too low and I didn't think them too high (there's one '18' in the party).

Hit points was 'max-at-first-level plus constitution score' (as given as an option in the side-bar nad an idea I liked from The Book of Experimental Might - Ravenloft's a tough place).

Skills were no problem (although 'Fly' caused a raised eyebrow).

The only hiccup was feats. There is such a dizzy array of them that the two more inexperienced players took what I suggested...

...a short feedback I know but it's a start. More will follow when the game is underway.....
