Following along with Grunyar, Marius will examine the craftsmanship and admire how well-constructed everything is. This is simply breathtaking, I would never have imagined such a thing existed here! The artisanship which crafted these chambers, and think of the time to make these glass walls! the cleric is suitably impressed with the discovery.

Marius reaches out his hand, glowing with energy, and touches Kib, washing away the wounds sustained in combat. May Shelyn heal your body that you create wonderous works in the future.

Then he steps just behind Tessamine, raising his force shield to cover himself from the fishman's attacks.

Marius, seeing Tessamine quickly close her own wounds, redoubles his efforts against the fishman, I don't think so Mister fishman! Shelyn will not tolerate your ugly visage any longer upon this world!

And he swings his glaive twice in rapid succession at their foe. again raising his shield of force to defend himself after his attacks...

Marius listens to Tessamine continue to rail against the creature in its native tongue and then swings his glaive at the creature twice in rapid succession, before raising his invisible shield to protect him from harm.

Marius will stick with the bard, looking over the artifacts they are uncovering as they go forward. Marius, unlike BK, will be careful not to touch anything as there may be residual magical energies left in the things.

There is something more to these things, but I'm not certain what it is, perhaps there's a lever, or what about a pressure switch? Marius, excited about the possibility of exploring the craftsmanship of this defensive trap, heads up the ramp behind his force shield.

Marius nods, taking up a supportive position behind Kib and Tessamine with his glaive, and nods at the kobold, Let's see what other wonders this place holds. I'm curious as to the real purpose of this facility in antiquity, and what wonders were created here.

As the door opens, Marius touches his holy symbol with one hand, and again conjures a magical shield in front of him to protect against whatever's behind the door.

Wow, very strange... I wonder if it is linked to the glow? Marius marvels at what Kib has found in the next chamber. Looking to the gnome, he muses, Perhaps, but I'm unsure. There could be a lot of strange magic here, and we're only beginning to scratch the surface.

After Marius straightens up from bandaging Kib,This place is simply amazing, the thought that went into the architecture - the tilework alone is so subtle to enhance the simple beauty of the structure. realizing he's going on some, he blushes momentarily. Sorry, was the plan to head forward through those doors? he asks, picking up his glaive from where it lay on the floor.

Marius bows his head, adjusting himself after the exertion of the fight. You are quite welcome, my name is Marius. Yes, it is quite fortunate we found you at the right time. the man looks around before pulling out some bandages to bind Kib's wounds.

I am a cleric of Shelyn, and a student of arts. I'm somewhat of a craftsman myself, and I was following a rumor of ancient artifacts in this direction I wanted to study. I hope someday to be able to create things the likes of which haven't been seen in centuries! the cleric gets excited with the prospect of invention and craftsmanship, all while binding Kib back together again.

Tell me, what have you seen thus far in your travels? Do you intend to go further into this ruin? May we accompany you? he peppers the crowd with questions.

GM (and all), sorry still figuring out 2E, but I sort of like that its much quicker to pick up so far. Here's the spell's text, which is why I thought it would work:
You raise a magical shield of force. This counts as using the Raise a Shield action, giving you a +1 circumstance bonus to AC until the start of your next turn, but it doesn't require a hand to use.

While the spell is in effect, you can use the Shield Block reaction with your magic shield. The shield has Hardness 5. After you use Shield Block, the spell ends and you can't cast it again for 10 minutes. Unlike a normal Shield Block, you can use the spell's reaction against the magic missile spell.

Heightening the spell increases the shield's Hardness.

Okay, here goes....
Marius will heft his glaive, cautiously moving ahead into the door of the chamber beneath the strange writing. Seeing the creature pinned between Kip and Tessamine he will swing his weapon at it, trying to end the combat as quickly as possible!

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Damage, slashing, Magical: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

As I understand the rules I have one additional action, if so can I cast heal on Tessamine? If so, Marius will heal her. I'm unsure about the Heal spell - so I think I'm reading it correctly apologies if I made an error.

Reaching out behind the Champion of the seas, Marius will attempt to heal her wounds...

Heal: 1d8 + 1d8 ⇒ (4) + (1) = 5

Hi There! This is my first real attempt to make a 2e character, any feedback would be welcome.

Marius is a cleric of Shelyn, who is by profession a jeweler, and appreciator of fine craftsmanship and artisanship across the lands!
