So, I was recently watching the msot recent Paizo Live, and in it Erik Mona's paizo live spoiler is that:

Erik Mona said wrote:
I would pay particular attention to the company that some of the prominent elder generation of Blakroses have been keeping recently, perhaps behind their husband's back, and that may lead to some additional clues about the true identity of a particularly charming gentleman who was first introduced... well, I'm not going to say when he was first introduced, that's too many clues. [...] Its a BIGGG deal.

So I did some digging on this big deal and I am 100% certain that he is referring to lord Synarr Diadalos, a new friend of Lady Dhrami Blakros, the wife of the curator of Blakros Museum. He was first introduced I believe in this tale of lost omens where it is shown that he is a potential starstone aspirant. He is also listed in the villians section of the NPC index at the end of the Absalom book, despite nothing obviously villanous being mentioned about him in either source. He is also listed as a level 19 human wizard.

His house, Starspine Manor, mysteriously appeared in the Ivy district one day, pushing apart two houses that had previously been together. This house was also the site of a large and popular masquerade ball last year which he has apparently promised to make an annual tradition.

The Absalom book also says he has been spending time with Tontartigan Dellby, the headmaster of Absalom's Endiron School, for some unknown reason. he is also a fashion enthusiast, a patron of the arts, and a regular customer at several renowned Absalom restaurants.

Finally, the most interesting thing I picked up about him is this line, written at the end of the Open Game License section at the very end of the book:

Absalom, City of Lost Omens said wrote:
Lord Synarr is not who he says he is!

So what do you all make of this? This is clearly building to something big, but what specifically I have no idea. Maybe Snyarr will succeed and Golarion will have a new god some time in the near future? Maybe that masquerade ball he's planning will be an adventure?

Noticed we didn't have a thread for this yet, so what is everyone hyped about for Dark Archive? Thus far we know:

2 New classes:
* Thaumaturge - magical non-caster that uses various "implements" to perform tasks; "the best" at recall knowledge and finding weaknesses. Cha main ability
* Psychic - spontaneous occult caster that uses either emotion or logic to cast spells; has other "strange powers" as well as spellcasting. Either Int or Cha main ability

8 treatises from the pathfinder society's Dark Archive, including:
* Cryptids
* secret societies
* temporal anomalies

Also includes one-page short articles about more specific paranormal/occult things, specific magic items were mentioned here.

So what are people's hopes, dreams, and other expectations for this book?

So I've been reading through Secrets of Magic, specifically the part in chapter 5 about ley lines, and was wondering if there's any kind of map in existence showing where ley lines on golarion are located? Even if its fan-made that would still be very useful.

We already have a thread for Classes, and Rulebooks, and APs, but what interesting/exciting Ancestry or Versatile Heritage options are people hopeful/excited for?

For reference, as of writing there are 8 ancestries confirmed to be coming out this year:
Lost Omens Mwangi Expanse Anadi, Grippli, Gnoll, Shisk, Conrasu, Goloma
Guns and Gears Automaton
Lost Omens Grand Bazaar Unknown never-before-playable ancestry

Personally I hope we get a VH to make characters truly undead (mortic maybe?}, as well as centaurs and other Large ancestries and more weird/non-humanoid options.

12 days ago starfinder develop Jason Tondro revealed (likely be accident) that the next AP is titled "Quest for the Frozen Flame" on this interview. He claims it has a product page on this website (which it does not), and says that Patrick Reney is the AP's developer. Besides that and the fact that Tondro is writing one of the volumes we know nothing.

Credit to u/DragonCalypso on the r/pathfinder2e discord for the catch, its not something I would ever have watched so nice catch to him.

What it could be about I have no idea. Best guess is something in the Saga Lands, like the realm of the mammoth lords, land of the linnorm kings, or more excitingly something in the crown of the world. Hopefully its not another Irrisen AP.

Honestly I'm kind of disappointed, I was really hoping for that Alkenstar/Geb/Nex AP that people here have been talking about forever, but hopefully this will be interesting too. we'll see.

So lets say an Orc wizard from Taldor has 18 intelligence (+4) at 1st level. He therefore speaks Common and Orcish, plus 4 languages from the list provided with the orc ancestry:

APG wrote:
Additional Languages equal to your Intelligence modifier (if it’s positive). Choose from Goblin, Jotun, Terran, Undercommon, and any other languages to which you have access (such as the languages prevalent in your region).

So he chooses goblin, Jotun, Terran, and undercommon. He's from Taldore, so he doesn't have any regional languages available to him. What does he do at level 10 when he hits +5 intelligence and is supposed to learn a new language?

So in the APG we're presented with table 1-1: draconic exemplars, which gives the information for possible dragon exemplars of kobolds, and lists the 10 common chromatic/metallic dragons as options. This made me wonder, can other dragons be dragon exemplars for kobold? what about primal dragons? imperial dragons? If so, will information/stats about these exemplars ever be printed anywhere?

This applies to other things too, for example barbarian dragon instinct. If barbarians can have, say, a crystal dragon as the object of their rage instead of a red dragon (and I dont see any reason why they shouldn't), will there ever be stats for that kind of thing printed?

This is a project I've been working on on-and-off for months now, and I'm glad to have a somewhat-complete version I can release to the public. This is my original Shaman class, focusing on elementalism, totem carving, and connection to your ancestors. It is not a conversion of the 1e shaman class, which I only learned existed midway through creating this.

Shaman Class

Please give me feedback, as well as any ideas you may have for further additions and improvements. This is by no means a finished product, and any critique or comments I get here are extremely valuable. I hope to play a shaman whenever I get to be a player again, hopefully for the magambya adventure path.

So I got inspired from the article about witchwyrds in age of ashes 5, and I wrote an ancestry for them:

witchwyrd ancestry

Inspiration for heritages and feats comes from their lore, their stat blocks in 1e, 2e, and sf, and their racial traits in sf, as well as from my own ideas about what a race like this might be capable of. The lore sections at the start of the ancestry are mostly copy/pasted or lightly adapted from said article in AoA5. Let me know what y'all think!

Just announced at pax yesterday for release june 2021. Features 6 new ancestries: Anadi, Grippli, Gnoll, Shisk, Conrasu, and Goloma. Shisk, Conrasu, and Goloma have only ever been mentioned in one sentence in the World Guide.
It includes descriptions of many cities throughout the expanse and the nation of vidrian, as well as several pages each on the various Mualijae elf groups and the song'o halflings.
New gods, including a catfolk god and a god of big things, were also announced, as well as several new monsters.

What is everyone excited for? what else do people think will be in here? what do you hope will be in here? lets discuss

surprised there isn't already a thread for this, but with Secrets of Magic announced for July 2021, with Magus and Summoner classes, what are everyone's hopes/speculations for what else will be in it?

Edit: Logan Bonner's overview of the chapters from gencon:
chapter 1: talking about magic in the world, philosophy, metaphysics, etc
chapter 2: Magus, Summoner, a bunch of new spells and magic items
chapter 3: offshoots of magic, like elemental magic, leylines, and true names

Both classes will be able to cast spells up to 9th level. Summoners will be able to determine their spellcasting tradition through what type of eidolon they choose. Maguses (magi?) will choose a fighting-style subclass.

IN Age of Ashes 6, the special 20th level class feat for Barbarian is Invulnerable Juggernaut. In the APG, there's a 20th level barbarian feat called Unstoppable Juggernaut. Aside from a slightly different flavor description and the fact that Invulnerable Juggernaut is uncommon, these feats are exactly the same.

Now I can't possible imagine this is accident, so what is the purpose of this? It kind of lessens the benefits of being in promise for any AoA party with a barbarian in it, as they can get the exact same feat as a common feat anywhere. Is this something paizo is planning to continue? are the AP special 20th level feats supposed to act as a testing-ground of stuff thats gonna become common in future books?

In the process of making this thing, I have come across a few questions about languages.

1. Is Ysoki a common or uncommon language? AoN lists it as common, but this seems odd as all other non-core ancestry languages (tengu, amurrun, iruxi, etc) are listed as uncommon in bestiary 1, where they appear for the first time (Tengu is actually not listed in the language table for Bestiary 1, despite appearing for the first time in a monster in that book).

2. How would one learn ancient osiriani, for the purposes of Living Monolith Dedication? is it an uncommon language one can just learn through multilingual, or is it closer to a secret language, seeing as it's probably not spoken at all anymore?

3. Is there a reason Leshies can't learn arboreal? I get why their "native" language is sylvan, but it seems like arboreal should at least be on the list of languages they can learn.

Thanks in advance for any answers

in the lost omens world guide, page 84, Garundi is listed as being one of the languages spoken in the Mwangi Expanse. I'm a bit confused about who actually speaks this language though. The Mwangi people speak Mwangi, and the Garundi people speak Osiriani. So who speaks Garundi?
