Korai has read it as the most important thing (but not so important as to do it himself) I'm reading it as deal with demon first thaen worry about staff. (and whoever gets staff get a huge target on their back as well). My last two actions are probably ones that make this fight more complicated but the choice of how your character acts is YOURS

Manyki addresses the Sarkorian "Friend I am a cleric of Iomadae. The fifth crusade includes followers of many gods who have fought to turn the demon tide. It has been my honour serve along side clerics and paladins of Torag, Shelyn, Saranrae, Abadar to name but a few. I will honour any god or goddess that stands against the demon tide but do not ask me to forswear Iomadae. I am sure my friends here do not wish to dishonour Laktharsis but neither do they wish to dishonour their own faiths. We know something of the dangers of stepping on such holy ground and hope Laktharsis looks with favour on our endeavour"

So Manyki wil cast an extended ant haul on the wizard (should he so desire) at the end of the evening using one use of the extended rod and will cast it again on himself (unextended) in the morning haveing recovered his castings from the night before in case the rod does not recharge overnight

Manyki generally starts his days casting Ant haul on himself. As it lasts ten hours that usually lasts most of the day. He is however not willing to extend this to a wizard just now (unless said wizard has a lesser extend metamagic rod to hand so he can cast the night before) So currently showing 1 1st level spell slot spent for that purpose

Manyki answers Korai "I had heard Thurl had sided with the demons at the worldwound and got his just deserts." He then turns back to Joral "Is this cure going to involve an ancient Sarkhorian site someone else might be looking to reclaim? And do we have such a thing as a hat of disguise for masking the venture captains nature if we are to travel beyond the lodge? A half demon travelling companion might draw unwelcome attention"
