One miss, w00t... Next turn, if there is a next turn, I might actually vary my routine, but think I'm still not quite close enough.

Manny will slip around the corner of the rock-face, to get a line of effect to the enemy. "If you want to hide from us, then I will be happy to pepper you from here." Manny looses a Ray of Frost at the target.

Checking his gear for travel. Manney will follow Ylen, but keeps to the shadows instead of in the open. one mistake is plenty.

stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Sadly, to Manney's dismay, the desert doesn't seem to have many shadows to stick too.

Well, if that occurred before the leopard moved. I guess Manny better make a good show of this.

Manny moves closer, but makes sure to stay out of anyone's direct line of fire. Aiming at the leopard, Manny hisses a curse in Aklo at the leopard as he looses an Electric Arc

Basic Reflex, DC 17, (yes, as a cat it'll probably make it) for half of damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 Electric damage.

Then Squeakers O'Malley will walk up behind, carrying the scroll.

Move, two action cast, independent action. end turn.

Seeing that there is still an enemy present when he comes to. Angry at himself for making a foolish tactical error earlier, Manny will stand and gather his full eldritch power into his claws, before loosing a Ray of Frost at the creature before it can stand again.

Ray attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Ray damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Ooh, crit for maximum damage of 16, and a 10 foot reduction to all its speeds for the next round. Take that foul beast.

Manny's Familiar will use it's independent action to pull a scroll of Heal from Manny's scroll case.

I did not forget, I am just aware that my fellow pathfinders may prefer to work towards resolving our mission goal and saving innocent lives rather than try to save an individual who can save themselves. But speaking of hero points, I am surprised no-one has received any by now.

Then Manny's familiar spends it's independent action on his previous turn drawing the other potion from his bag. This turn Manny tries to recover:
Recovery Check: 1d20 ⇒ 8

Manny spends all his Hero points to immediately stabilize at 0 rather than die. Squeakers O' Malley spends his independent action this turn to pour the potion down Manny's throat.

minor healing potion: 1d8 ⇒ 7

And I'm both out of healing and done this round.

Yes, I am aware. but I prefer to save it for when it would kill me otherwise. As you spend all your hero points when you would fail, to go back to 0, regardless of dying level. Does not change the fact I am not going to dodge any of their attacks, in all liklihood, and am out in the open. I did not know if we were doing old guide or new. (one item or two. That potion from before was my one item.)

Sorry, but I am not always around in exactly 24 hours or less. I was online yesterday about an hour before your post and was waiting to see results of the scouting, and just got on now. I would have definitely been hanging back this time. As I am one of the squishiest characters in the party, and after seeing how hard they hit, I'd have to be pretty dumb to stand in the open... But I guess I am once again at dying 2, and get to try to recover, while out in the middle where I will be immediately downed again the moment I stand... C'est les vie.

recovery check: 1d20 ⇒ 7

Guess I'm at dying 3 then. As for not dying, I die at dying 4 by the way, and we don't have any healing magic... Just a reminder.

After his familiar pours a potion down his throat, Manny will slowly sit up, and take stock of his condition.

Minor Healing potion: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Looking up at Manuk, "I have definitely experienced far more pleasant moments." He will look to Squeakers O'Malley, " Thank you, old friend... Seems will live to see another day." He will carefully pick up his familiar and then turn towards the tents. "I believe a bit of a rest is in order, and perhaps I will find myself exercising a bit more caution on our next excursion..." he turns once more to look at Manuk, before retiring for the evening. "Meanwhile, I thank you for the covering fire Manuk. Twice now you have ensured our enemies are too busying keeping low, to flee when the battle turns against them."

Performance: Oratory: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 To try and encourage his ally Manuk, who is clearly appearing quite glum.

In the morning, Manny will proceed to try and find a sign of the where the Leopards attacked from, and follow the trail back to the lair.

Survivial: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

However he is clearly still suffering from the previous day's injuries, and not making much progress. So he elects to try and treat his wounds instead.

Treat Wounds: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
healing amount: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2

Whomp... Better than nothing I guess

and by "all heroes up" you mean, "manny is down" :-p

Dying check in case no healing: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Hey! he stabilizes from the Dying 2, to dying 1, he got from being stabbed while down, since he dropped on the second attack looking at that damage.

Manny's familiar takes its independent action to pull a potion out of his bag.

Manny takes his readied action to stab the first large cat, as it is within reach. no idea if it noticed him or not. so I will roll the sneak damage, and you can ignore it if they are aware of him anyway.

Rapier: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Rapier damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Sneak Attack damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

oof... If that's not a crit, 2 damage, 4 if sneak attack applies. if it is a crit, deadly d8 time.
deadly d8: 1d8 ⇒ 3
which would bring it to 7 if no sneak attack, 11 if it does.

After lunging out of the shadows as he did, Manny will then move to flank the cat Ingmar struck, and then swings twice.

Rapier attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 5) + 1 = 7 Deadly d8: 1d8 ⇒ 3 w00t nat 20 for that sweet sweet 17 points of stabby damage
Rapier attack 2: 1d20 ⇒ 18 damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 1) + 1 = 6

Readied action goes off. Then stride, strike, strike -5.

Assuming Manny is unable to target the leopards past the fences and tents right now, he will try to remain hidden from the leopards, and readies an action to stab one if they come up to him anyway.

Hide Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Manny takes note of the suggested structure, "Is there a particular reason this building has walls, and the rest are in tents? Is this a specialized building?"

Only thing I see with that, is if the fences DO slow enemies at all... it might not be bad to have one blocking the opening to the south.

Manny will have helped Ingmar Treat Wounds during the trip. Medicine: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 assuming success heal amount: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6

Snipping the last of the thread sewing up the wounds. "That's the best I am capable with the rudimentary tools on hand. Perhaps a day of rest would be helpful to you as well."

As they hear from Zig, Manny will immediately start trying to determine which creatures may be involved, especially as Cats seem to prefer to climb over, rather than through, in his experience.

Nature: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

After moments of failing to think of anything useful, he growls in irritation. "Grrr... I cannot think straight... Not with such obviously faulty defenses as these!" He waves his claws at the fences. "Let me first see about improving these defenses, then I will redouble my efforts to resolve this conundrum."

Crafting: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Lore: Engineering: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Lore Mining: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Assuming any/all of those apply to attempt to discern ways of improving the fences, or to see where best to dig a defensive pit in front of the fences, to further enhance their defendability.

Manny makes a note of Ingmar's sudden personality change. "We shall have to keep special notice of that one, Squeakers O'Malley... However, to the task at hand I suppose."

Manny will climb off the wagon so as to not have shot obscured by the contraption, then launch a Ray of Frost at the farther wolf, the one not attacked by ingmar, assuming the closer one is even still standing.

Ray attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Ray damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Oh my, a crit I see. In which case that's not only 12 damage instead, but also a -10 ft. speed modifier to it's movements for a round.

Squeakers then takes his Independent action and follows after Manny.

stride, two-action spell, familiar 1 action. end turn.

As a rule, if no-one else is taking the "Scout" activity, I will... which gives everyone a +1 to their initiative... .however as we are on wagons, i will elect to just perception this time, as it is hard to scout wagons while on foot

Manny takes distinct note of the various features around him, having his familiar provide him to supplies so that he may record everything he sees on the way, while keeping a look out for possible dangers.

Manny waits for the rest of the party to demonstrate their abilities. Taking note of what they are proficient in, and elects to fill the missing components, as is standard for him. Carefully picking a blade of grass and slipping it between his claws just right and blowing into it, he starts to play a wailing, haunting tune.

Performance: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Enjoying how his haunting yet melodic song goes, he starts to dance, showing off his own athletic prowess at the same time as a reminder he is more than he appears.

Athletics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Once finished, he turns to Muckmuck and tilts his head, "You will find that I possess prowess in the vast majority of talent fields. If you are astute, you will remember this and heed my words in times of trouble." He turns to the rest of the party I hope they all remember this as well. He then drops the blade of grass and wipes off his scales carefully and approaches the back of the wagon while addressing Muckmuck once more over his shoulder. "I trust our performance was sufficient to prove we are more than adequate to any challenges we may face." The tone in his voice suggesting it is more a statement than a question.

Manny nods and lifts his pack onto his back, "While I do not share my compatriot's enthusiasm. His point is still sound, there is little more to be gained by dithering here. Off to the caravan we should head, keeping our eyes peeled for any number of large predators, such as lions, panthers, dire wolves, etc." He nods a curt farewell to Yigrig, and then follows Ingmar out, his familiar close behind him.

Having gotten his confirmation that Yigrig trusts Zig. Manny turns away again, motioning for his familiar to pull out his notebook. He takes careful notes about the information Yigrig gives, leaving large swathes of paper empty between lines. Far too incomplete information... Until I know more this is all likely quite useless... However, what animal is likely to attack in such a manner, and why?

Nature +3, Trained.

Manny was busy reading a small book, while his squirrel-looking familiar turned the pages. At first it seemed as though he hadn't heard a word of what was discussed. However, without looking up from the treatise, he says softly. "Good, Sir Moneymaker... Might I inquire if you have any suspects of note? Anyone you can think of who might gain from either the kidnapping of your family, embarrassing you our your clan, or would particularly find loss in such an agreement between the cities of Solku and Oenopion? I only ask this, as such blatant targeting of your family, suggests increased likelihood that you, or your kin, have had contact with the perpetrator..." Manny closes the book he is currently reading, and his familiar proceeds to slip it into his bag while Manny turns to look directly at the Goblin, his golden scales brilliantly reflecting the light of the room as he fixes Yigrig with a direct stare. "I also must attest to the possibility your own son may be deceiving you. After-all, as you state, your family are "being pulled from their beds." This suggests no body, no blood, no sign of extreme violence. The simple fact no-one is noticing the disappearances suggests either magic is involved, or those who are taken trust the perpetrators involved... As such, I must press you the difficult question of: 'How much do you truly trust Zig?' And please, for the sake of brevity, be honest. Also, know I mean no insult. Just stating the facts."
