Seeing the turret turning to target him, Manjit quickly dodges back behind the wall. He signals for the others to stop, then moves back to confer.

"So there is an auto turret in the roof just around that corner. It is what we could hear from above. Not too sure what it was firing at, but it locked onto me and tried to take a few shots. Can we try to take control of it and perhaps see what it is seeing...as well as not having it shoot us up!!"

As they begin to move towards the ramp, Manjit halts the group with a hand signal anyone with military training would recognize as 'halt'.

He turns to Warren..
"Wait here while I take a quick look below. Watch for my signals!"

..he then silently moves down to the next level and looks around.

Infiltrate: 7d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5, 2, 3, 2, 1) = 20 (2 successes)
Perception: 9d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3, 1, 3, 6, 3, 4, 3) = 32 (2 successes)

"It sounds like it is right below us, but also in front of us. Come on...let's go down this way...maybe it will somehow connect to the area below!"

The soldier heads off towards where he hears the gunfire.

"Well let's find out what and where the party is and move there before it is all over!"

Perception: 9d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 6, 5, 4, 2, 3, 5) = 28 3 success

Manjit braces himself as he feels the vehicle breaking before slamming into the barn door.

"WOAH!!!"

"GO,Go,GO!!!!", the ex-Gurka calls out as he sees the door opening to the barn.

Laughing, Manjit slaps him on the shoulder.

"If we make it out of here all in one piece, I might join you. Back home, you could go from freezing temperatures one minute to tropical heat the next...just depending on how high in the mountains you were!!"

Manjit springs into the back of the truck, grabbing onto the roll bar and pounds on the roof twice, once everyone is in the back and holding on.

"Sorry man...not in my wheelhouse."

Manjit looks to the others to see who might be able to take on the task.

Feeling a little foolish for not noticing what was what, Manjit listens carefully to the debrief.

Even though he was born in the cold, the warmth of the tent draws a slight sigh of contentment from the gurkha.

"Well, it looks like you still have one member somewhere in there. What is the intel so far?"

Taking his time, Manjit ensures he breaks a path through the snow for the others to follow. The walk reminds him of his youth, when he would walk to the market during the winter. The darkness and the cold bring him back to his home, and his hopes to return someday.

Manjit helps the others get out of the vehicle. Being from a cold climate, the weather did not bother him as much as the others.

"Yes, you best get into shelter and warm up."

The Napalese man starts to break a path through the snow towards the distant lights.

The Truck Bed:

Manjit smiles as Wraith complains of the cold. He leans close to the man and speaks right into his ear.
"Back in Napal, this would be a mild spring storm...it is when it is too cold to snow that the problems begin!"
The ex-soldier hunkers down in the bed of the truck, making himself comfortable as the snow continues to fall.

Sorry for the disappearance...wild fires and evacuations have kept me from the boards for a bit...back now that most of the current disaster is slowly running it course

Again, Manjit looks with disappointment at Abiss. He shakes his head and moves towards the fallen man.
"He is a little headstrong...but the last people we dealt with did try to negotiate with a hand grenade, so you can understand his impatience. Now come, take us to this place the dwarf was travelling and we will make it worth your time."

As the others exit the boat, Manjit waits until the vessel is getting ready to depart before leaving, making sure the dwarf and his friend are still onboard. Once they are gone, he rejoins the rest of the party.

"They are on their way back. Let's hope they have learned their lesson and they leave us alone!"

Manjit again shakes his head at the sudden violent turn of the group.

"Maybe we do not kill those not able to defend themselves? Let Karma deal with him, and the Wheel will turn for him when his last breath is given. Killing the weak is not wise. But I am sure you will do what you want...I am just a warrior and not...what is it they call you...ah yes, a Shadowrunner."

He takes a step towards the final enemy and looks him over.

"Do you have anything to add before they turn on you?? Might want to try and save yourself before they decide it is better to kill everyone than show mercy"

It is for overcoming armour...he removes 3 points of any armour he has to defeat to do damage to a person. Like AP rounds, but for melee combat...it is an adapt ability

Manjit drags the unconscious dwarf over to the group.

"He was trying something in the matrix, I think...maybe you can get in there and find out more information?"

Watching the dwarf from much closer, Manjit suddenly strikes out with a blindingly fast number of strikes.

Pass One - Unarmed: 13d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 2, 6, 1, 4, 4, 2, 5, 3, 1, 1) = 34 2 success
Damage: 7M I-3
Pass Two - Unarmed: 13d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5, 1, 1, 5, 1, 3, 1, 4, 6, 5, 2) = 44 6 success
Damage: 7M I-3
Pass Three - Unarmed 13d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 2, 1, 6, 1, 3, 6, 5, 1, 5, 1, 3) = 38 4 success
Damage: 7M I-3
Subdual damage only...will hit him until he falls unconscious

Perception: 9d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5, 5, 4, 6, 5, 4, 5) = 44

Gymnastics: 7d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 4, 2, 6, 4) = 27

Manjit pushes off the wall and moves to cut off the dwarf's retreat from the group.

"Here now little man...let's not be wandering off before you tell us everything the nice lady wants to know!"

Perception: 9d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 2, 6, 2, 3, 4, 6) = 28

Manjit releases the dwarf and steps away from him. He leans back against the hull, listens to the questioning, and watches the exits.

Hearing the roar of the pistol, Manjit looks over at the now dead troll and the man standing behind it. A look of disguise flits across the mans face, but he turns back to the dwarf and gives him a shake.

"So...who sent you "

"OK, start talking short stuff. Why the grenade and threats?? Who sent you and why...or maybe we should let your friend over there take a couple shots at you?

He keeps the fellow within reach...just in case.

Manjit stares at the dwarf with an irritated look on his face.

Inside the bubble:

"What now cutter? You want to go a round or two with me or do you want to explain yourself? Either is fine with me, but I will get the story from you one way or another!"

Reacting to the dwarf dropping a grenade, Manjit reacts swiftly by first catching the grenade that bounced off his chest.

Agility(5) + Reaction(6) (TN4): 11d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 3, 3, 6) = 29

With the grenade in hand, Manjit decides to teach the dwarf a little lesson about trying to utilize an explosive against his comrades. Reaching out, the warrior grabs the dwarf and stuffs the grenade down his trousers.

Unarmed (+2 Situation): 13d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 2, 1, 5, 4, 4, 5, 2, 5, 3, 4) = 41

With his last action, Manjit shoves the dwarf away from him and the others to the ship's far side as he suddenly notices the pink bubble around them.

Unarmed + Str: 14d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4, 2, 3, 2, 6, 6, 6, 4, 2, 4, 2, 2) = 51

बकवास*

Nepali:

POOP!

Do you want me to re-roll my initiative?

OK, I have 3 passes as an adept as well, so I think, being closest to the grenade (as it sounds like it basically bounced off me), that I could grab it and toss it outside, or barring that, maybe knock it towards the troll??

Initiative passes: 11d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 2, 2, 3, 2, 1, 5, 2, 5, 1) = 28

Quote:
Oh and I am the Combat Adept.

I guess that makes two of us...lol

Manjit slowly moves away from the others towards the dwarf who seems to be in charge. He raises his hands as he moves away from the other.

"Easy there cutter...no need for blood. What do you want?"

Moved on map

Perception: 9d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 4, 1, 6, 3, 3, 5) = 29
2 successes

Manjit pushes himself away from the wall and looks around.

"What...?"

Manjit leans against the wall and listens to what Tatyana has to say. He moves over slightly to allow Gnoss room to sit.

"So I take it this job has just become a bit harder? Warren and I will keep up our end, such as it is!"

"I am Manjit Banepali, well not actually, but it is a good enough name for now. I am...or was a member of His Majesty's Royal Gurka Regiment from Napal. Mystic warriors trained me to fight with my kurki or by hand.I worked as a close escort bodyguard for many years, but now am here and selling my skills to those of good faith and large bank accounts!"

He gives a short bow and then waves to Warren.

Manjit takes a small sip of his hot chocolate and brandy.

"Not too often...just happened to be close by and owe him for some 'work' he did for me awhile back. He seemed ok to me...what do you think, Warren?"

He looks over to his companion as he takes another small sip of the hot drink.

"Woah there lads. Let's not crowd the lady. My friend and I have a delivery for The White Queen from Marky-Mark."

He looks over the group as they fall into line behind him and Warren.

"Looks like you have a party on the go. Let me drop this off and my friend and I will get out of your hair and grab a drink!"

He hands off the package and then the two of them head off to sit and order a drink.

Manjit looks over to Warren and smiles.
"Well, one more, and what say we get ourselves a drink. At least stay out of the cold for a bit before heading home!"

Gathering the items, Manjit heads out with Warren and heads towards the Hush Hush Bar

or maybe one of you (or more) knew us from other runs and call us in for extra help??

boop

Thanks for bringing me on...:-)

That sounds good to me...I will also change my powers to reflect the proper choices.

OK, sorry I misunderstood what you were saying. I will go with the bullet trapping for my bolt then...makes the most sense. Now, would it be possible to use a 'dummy' firearm and cast the bolt through it...as if it were a regular gun? Just trying to find a way to make it possible to use the ability without being immediately discovered.

Freak out roll 1d8 ⇒ 8

Hmmm...I do not want my bolt power to be stuck in one shape, so I will forgo the Trapping. Not great with a gun TBH, so I suppose I will wait until I am in a position to help without giving myself away.

Can I make it look like a bullet or like I am shooting him? Even if it might be a finger, so it looks like he is using a gun. If not, can I use illusion without drawing too much attention to shield people from the reavers?

Bob is unsure how he got into this mess, but it was getting out of control. He had thought the Alliance goons could handle the reavers, but that was wrong, and too many people were getting hurt.

Using his innate ability, the small, misshapen man aims a bolt of energy at one of the reavers in hopes of keeping some of the people here safe.

Not too sure what it is I will need to roll to hit....if anything.
I would like to increase damage to +3d6 dice so point cost would be 3

OK...switched to Gifted so I think it is good now?!
