There's no hard rules for those situations, but the general idea is that the creature keeps its status as a companion creature for at least a short time after the master's death. Technically, a dead creature hasn't ceased to exist, but its soul has simply moved on to another plane. And a companion creature would maintain its abilities if its master was on another plane.

Sorry I don't agree with Melk, but my interpretation of it is, when the animal companion's owner dies that 'character' no longer has access to their class features, there by can not grant said feature to her/his companion

looks awesome send me one!

Are there lesser evils among fiends?

What I mean by that is daemons, devils and demons that aren't instantly "Kill/Conquer/Corrupt your face in" respectively, but can act cordially with their allies and still be evil bastards?

Besides Asmodeus himself, that is.

Yes.
How would one qualify a lesser, for instance, Chaotic Evil? I'm hard pressed to think of a demon who can hold back on their "murder everything's face in" instinct, besides maaaaaybe Jubilex.
Succubi, perhaps? They're more "sex everything's face in."
I am perfectly content dying that way.

I'd prefer having the luxury of the passionate demon loving, without the hindrance of death.

So, here's a question. What are the best ways to avoid the harmful effects of a succubus' Energy Drain?

the death ward spell

I have some Question for you Mr. Jacobs this time about the monks Abundant Step class feature coupled with Dimensional Dervish.
1) Can your Abundant Step while grappled? I can find no rules that say you can use supernatural powers while grappled only that they don't provoke AOO.
2) Can you use Dimensional Dervish to attack a creature in the water (or air) and then end on dry land?

I have a Question Mr. Jacobs, about the Spellscar Oracle from Inner Sea Magic.
For their 6th level bonus spell they get Antimagic Field an 8th level spell.
Now my question. Does this spell count as 6th level for the Oracle or is a mistake giving an 8th level spell to someone who shouldn't be able to cast it yet?

Black Blessing
Aura faint abjuration; CL 3rd
Slot neck; Price 500 gp; Weight —
Description
This small black pouch typically bears a symbol of a heart, bird’s head, or fish scribed in blood. It grants the wearer a +1 resistance bonus on Fortitude and Reflex saving throws. However, the wearer also takes a –2 penalty on all Will saves against spells cast by the item’s creator.
Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, resistance, bane; Cost 250 gp

Ganji Doll
Aura moderate necromancy; CL 6th
Slot none; Price 16,000 gp; Weight 1/2 lb.
Description
A ganji doll is the pinnacle of juju sympathetic magic, a fetish tied so intimately to its intended victim that good or ill may be done to the target through the doll itself. During the item’s creation, the creator must choose a humanoid creature to bind the doll to. This requires the creator to obtain and craft a bit of the intended target’s body—typically hair, blood, or a tooth—into the fetish. Once this has been done, the ganji doll affects no other creature aside from the bound target. The target of the ganji doll cannot be changed after crafting is complete. Once the doll has been created, three times per day, any bearer can employ the doll to create any one of the following effects. These effects only target the creature bound to the doll. The target takes a –2 penalty on all saving throws against these effects.
Blind: Covering the doll’s head with a cloth blinds the target for 1 minute (DC 16 Will save to resist).
Damage: Stabbing the doll with a sharp instrument, waving it over an open flame, wrapping a cord around the doll’s neck, or otherwise damaging the doll causes the target to take 3d6 points of damage (DC 16 Fortitude save for half). This damage ignores all resistances and immunities.
Target: The ganji doll functions as the bound target itself for the purpose of any spell with a range of touch. The target receives the effect of any spell cast upon the doll (up to the doll’s limit of 3 effects per day) as if the caster had actually touched him. The target may make saving throws against such spells, if allowed, as normal, but takes the –2 penalty imposed by the doll. Beneficial spells, such as cure light wounds, can also be used in this manner.
Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, bestow curse, and a piece of the body of the humanoid to be affected; Cost 8,000 gp

Ganji Doll, Greater
Aura moderate necromancy; CL 12th
Slot none; Price 36,000 gp; Weight 1/2 lb.
Description
A greater ganji doll looks similar to and functions as the normal version, except that it can be used 5 times per day, imposes a –4 penalty on the target’s saving throws against its effects, and has the following altered or additional special abilities in addition to all the abilities of a ganji doll.
Damage: Damaging the doll causes the target to take 6d6 points of damage (DC 16 Fortitude save for half ). This damage ignores all resistances and immunities.
Locate Creature: The bearer of a ganji doll can use it to locate its bound target, as per the spell locate creature. Suggestion: The user whispers in the doll’s ear, creating the effect of a suggestion spell. The target must make a DC 16 Will save to resist the effect. Unlike the spell, the target need not comprehend the user’s language.
Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, bestow curse, suggestion, and a piece of the body of the humanoid to be affected;
Cost 18,000 gp

Laubo Powder
Aura moderate enchantment; CL 10th
Slot none; Price 2,800 gp; Weight —
Description
Salt, chalk, and powdered bone goes into the creation of this thick powder. When it is smeared over the face of a willing or helpless humanoid, the victim is affected as per the spell dominate person. The victim receives a save against the powder’s effect, but makes it at a –2 penalty. Those who fail the save are affected by the spell and are under the control of the powder’s creator (not necessarily the powder’s user). In addition, the victim cannot articulate beyond making a low moaning, and takes on a death-like pallor, appearing to be a zombie. Spells like detect undead or a minute of uninterrupted examination followed by a DC 20 Heal check reveal that the victim is not actually undead.
Creating a batch of laubo powder provides enough for 3 uses.
Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, dominate person, disguise self; Cost 1,400 gp

Spirit Tear
Aura faint divination; CL 5th
Slot neck; Price 1,800 gp; Weight —
Description
This small glass ornament is usually molded into the shape of an eye or drop. Once per day the wearer can activate the tear, gaining the ability to see invisibility with a range of 10 feet for 5 minutes.
Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, see invisibility; Cost 900 gp

hey Bodhi love the guide but you made a big mistake with the Falchion
It should be: PFS Legal Falchion 75 gp 1d6 2d4 18-20/x2 — 8 lbs. S —
you have the weapon as a x3 crit, you should change that

Ok so the paladin Divine Weapon Bond Enhancement list as far as I can tell has never been updated past the core description. My question is this, with all the new weapon enhancements from the other core books (Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat and Ultimate Equipment). When is the Paladins Divine Weapon Bond Enhancement list going to be expanded?
With abilities like Conductive(UE) and Merciful(UE), would make great additions to the Divine Bond Enhancement list.
What are your thoughts?

I don't have any completed, but how would you guys make a race with -2 Str -2 Con +2 Int +2 Wis +2 Cha or +2 Str +2 Dex +2 Con -2 Int -2 Cha? There's no easy way to make that with the stat arrays.

Reverse the point cost for the "negitive numbers"

so it would be (for the first set)
Specialized +2 Int, +2 Wis, -2 Str (1 RP)
Reduced Constitution (-4 RP)
Advanced Charisma (4 RP)

Set 2
Specialized +2 Str, +2 Dex, -2 Int (1 RP)
Advanced constitution (4 RP)
Reduced Charisma (-4 RP)

Ok here is my thought on this.

You have a 3rd level fighter with the Archetype Tower Shield Specialist, he had Brestplate armor Which gives Armor Bonus +6, Max Dex +3, Armor Check Penalty -4, you add a Tower Shield Armor Bonus +4, Max Dex +2, Armor Check Penalty -10.
This all adds up to Armor Bonus +10, Max Dex +2 ACP -14.

Adding in the Tower shield Specialist bonus at 3rd level you should have.
Armor Bonus +10, Max Dex +5, ACP -10.

Here's how it breaks down.
Max Dex goes from +2 (base) +2 (TSS) +1 (AT) total +5
ACP goes from -14 (base) -3 (TSS) -1 AT) total -10

This is the way I see it as the shield and the armor are COMBINED for the total results and not individual results.

Hi I recently purchased a pathfinder RPG core rulebook from amazon.com and just found out that the pages 321-328 and 345-352 were duplicated and pages 329-344 were omitted is there a way you can help me?
