So guys, me and one of my friends is gonna do a solo plot. And therefore i wanted to know which class to play.
To be frank im thinking that inquisitor would be good for it, they can work really well alone and such. They can heal, and cast a limited set of spells, and can fill many roles. Ranged, melee and such.
Would the best option be to go for a dex based ranged inquisitor or melee inquisitor?
On a whole nother note, we were discussing running a semi-evil campaign, and i thought about the assassin class, would it work? I've always wanted to try building an assassin.
Of course, there are also wizards and such. We've banned the synthesist summoner, as it was too broken he thought. We did some try runs with it, and it wrecked everything.
He also allowed me to roll a Taninim, draconic exemplar if i wanted, but im not sure.
Anyway, i hope you can help me figure out what to roll, for this solo campaign.
EDIT: I also looked at the Ninja class, ive always wanted to roll one, would they be good for solo campaigns? I know they are pretty flexible, with their tricks, and it could be fun just to basically dissapear if things went wrong.
Hey guys, me and one of my friends are gonna make a solo plot, and im gonna play solo, i mostly want to know any advice on going solo, and maybe essential magic items, and which items i should get first, ill be starting at 5th level with 5k gold, in terms of classes and race, we are doing something homebrow.
So to boil it down, i want help with items, and maybe general tips on going solo.
Hey everyone, i made a Witcher class, but tweaked how the witcher normal is. I removed their magic/sigils, and added a metamorphosis ability. Please check it!

Can someone explain to me the difference between ferocious Mount, and ferocious beast - to me they Seem to do the same
As i Said before No magic, Celtic uses magic and so does ghost rider, and i really want to be able to rage
I cant go magic, the short explanation is that when u use magic, and spell like things and supernatural abilities, things go wrong
So me and my friend had this idea of making two halflings, which were twins or brothers. Our idea was that we both in combat would ride in on our mounts, and then jump off and start fighting with greataxes and our mounts would assist us.
So i thought that maybe i would take the mounted fury barbarian archetype. And then the boon companion feat to make the most out of the mount.
So my question is, would this be viable, and if so do you have advice, or ideas?
(PS the reason for barbarian was for rage, so we are pretty fixated on barbarian, unless there is another class which gives rage. And yes i know that the halfling isnt the best race for barbarians, but we want to do it for the flavour.)

Alright so which of these two ability scores are Best? I Think i like the top one better
Many of you suggest options which use SU or any kind of magic, which i Said earlier was kind of prohibited.
Anyway Im looking into all your advice and tips Thnx!

And about the magic, Its a World were magic is unstable (spells, Spell like abilites and superordinary and everything magic) which means that by using magic there is a huge chance something bad happens
No i mean the fighter one, fighters also have a skirmisher archetype
Hey, so recently me and my friends finished our campaign and we are now looking to create a new campaign
About the World
Magic is a No-go
Therefore i thought about making a ranged figther using a bow, and to get more skill ranks maybe take the skirmisher archetype..
What are your opinions and any advice?
I have a question about the Nanoshade archetype for ninja androids here it comes.
Are many of the ninja tricks counted as being (Su) because the ki pool is?
If so
Would the many of the ninja tricks become (Ex) by choosing the nanoshade archetype for ninja androids, since it makes their ki pool (Ex)?
Ok, after reading all this, i think i might go dex build instead. It seems greater, and i think that because magic isnt a good thing in this plot, having a higher ac, lets me have a higher chance of not getting hit, since healing is gonna be a problem.
Even though a magus uses spells, i still wanna play a bladebound, primarily for the flavour, i just love it, it may not be optimized but i will try to make it work.
The reason i wanted a katana was for the high crit - would it be viable to do a high dex crit build on the magus?
If there is another of gaining a black blade i would consider it, i just love the idea of having a black blade, and my gm will finally let me take it.
So, im starting a new campaign soon, and i have some info about the world.
1. In the world, there is wild magic, everytime you use magic, there is a chance it goes wrong, or maybe goes right. This goes for ALL magic.
And of course, my first thing was, im gonna make a spellcaster for fun things. So im thining of making a bladebound kensai magus, who actually doesnt need to use magic, for this im thinking of giving him a black Blade - via the bladebound archetype. And i thought, that the katana would be fun, cause then i could use it two handed, which would be great if i took power attack, and i would go a strength/int magus.
Ability scores (Human - 20 point buy)
str: 16
dex: 12
con: 14
int: 17
wis: 7
cha: 10
Could you give me advice on ideas, feats, traits and such?
Yeah, but by taking 2 levels i would gain more skills, rogue talent, evasion and bab...
As far as i know, the unchained rogue isnt allowed by our gm, neither all the unchained features such as the skill unlucks too. So it will just be the good old ordinary rogue.. so what do you think? 1 lvl of rogue, or 2 lvls of rogue?
Okay, yesterday i was with my friend (I play pathfinder with him) and he was like, why dont you make an Arcane Trickster who also uses a rapier in combat while flanking. And i was like, hmm could be great, i would get a bit of combat and a lot of skills and such... do you have any ideas, i thought about rogue 1 or 2 and wizard 3 and then arcane trickster.
I am abit unsure about how many rogue levels. Because by taking 2 rogue levels i would get more skill points, evasion, rogue talent (Fast stealth) and bab.. but by only taking 1 i would get into arcane trickster faster, but it would also cost me a feat for accomplished sneak attacker, but instead i would get acces to 4th level spells as i would count as a 7th lvl wizard.
Which feats shall i take the next levels 9 and upwards, to supplement my fireball?
Yeah ive looked at the arcanist, but i dont fully understand the arcane resoivoir ability.. and therefore im not sure about taking it..
I just realised you could get even more damage, if you take crossblooded Orc/draconic, and then substitutes the draconic 1st level bloodline ability with blood havoc, you would get +3 PER DIE!
Seems pretty good.
Uhm wouldnt my fireball if i have spell specialization benefit from intensify? I mean it would be 10d6..
Wouldnt it give me +15?
And i could then also take metamagic master on fireball and go around throwing 15d6 + 15 x 1.5 fireballs?
Well, what about intensify spell?

So this is what ive made so far, i still need to chose what bonus feat to take from bloodline, and i still have 3 feats more
I could use suggestions to improve and what feats to pick.. including the bonus feat from arcana bloodline
And Which skills would you recommend with fey thoughts, Im thinking Perception and one thing else
I think ill take Sea Legs instead of adaptility cause its a bit of a naval campaign we are doing,
Ok!
Is there any good alternate racial traits for a half elf that could be good for me?
Thanks Dasrak, but paragon of life only have like 1 min per level so how does it work the rest of the day?
And my ability scores for a sage sorcerer would be
Str: 7
Dex: 14
Con: 12
Int: 22 (+2 racial, +2 level)
Wis: 10
Cha: 10
I still dont know if i should be human or elf...
I could take the racial heritage feat as human
the reason i wanted human was because i could then take comprehensive eduacation and get all the knowledge skills, (The party only have knowledge nature and engineering)
I could possibly take human race, and then take racial heritage, Half elf, and that will unlock paragon surge...
PCScipio wrote: If you go with 10 con, expect to die; 14 con is advisable. Thanks, i think that is good too, and i think i might take the sage archetype, and then go half elf with a bonus to int, and good alternate racial traits i could take.. im thinking blended view because its like free almost..
Well as far as im concerned as it is now, psychic classes arent allowed, and i also wanted to ask you what you think about the spell Paragon surge... ive heard it is pretty good... for sorcerer.
Would you guys do it? I think i can manage with a lower charisma
And there is an elf variant i can choose, its the same as the normal except it gains cha instead of int..
But i still think the half races and human are better cuz i will get more spells, take that favoured class and pick arcane bloodline and i will get many spells
What would be better for sorcerer
Ability scores:
str: 7
Dex: 12
Con: 10
Int: 14
Wis: 10
Cha: 22
or
Str: 8
Dex: 14
Con: 12
Int: 14
Wis: 10
Cha: 20
Dasrak i understand that, and wonder the sorcerer can get fairly many spells if you use all your favoured class bonuses in to get extra spells.. and the build you gave is totally good, and do you think the sorcerer will be better the later into the game he goes, (higher level) cause i think well be playing this plot to lvl 18-20 ish
Ekibus damn that seems fun, and i also looked at the guide, i just think that the reason im a bit sceptical about it is because i havent ever seen one, and they are strangers to me..
So which exploits can increase how many arcane points you get in your resoivour, i guess you want to fill it up, but the fact that you have to expend spells to do so is sad, and in the text it said there were arcane exploits that gave you the oppurtunetiy to refill it.
I think what i mostly want is fun rp, but to also be good in combat if it should rise, which is why i also want to make a wizard, just by being that one guy that everyone looks at, and then they would be like, damn that guy is powerful. But its the same with sorcerers they just dont have as many spells..
Oh i really like that build, lot of utility, and lots of nice spells. God its hard, because im so indecisive... im sorry for being all over the place, and not able to decide on what to play.
As far as that sorcerer build it seems pretty good, i guess you could play it with any of the half races too.
I think the reason i mostly wanted to play sorcerer was for the spontaneous casting, i find that cool. But even so, i feel like if you take fast study on wizard, and keep spell slots open the wizard will also be good. Gosh i dont know what to play.
Thnx Nemesis, i will keep that in mind, but what do you think about bloodlines, there are so many and they are all really cool, i just want the best for what i want. So blasting and utility.
Okay, if i were to make a sorcerer i think the Arcane bloodline is cool, and versatile. Which feats, and such would you recommend? Metamagic as well. And do you have any better ideas for a bloodline.
I really like versatile spells like dimension door, and invisibility, and you get both with the arcane bloodline, and i would also prefer to be able to cast a bit of blasting.
I do also like the draconic bloodline. And yeah tbh i dont really like summoning, so i would mostly prefer blasting, and utility spells. Like dimension door, as i mentioned earlier.
I still dont know what to pick... im still thinking if i should go full caster, and i know that if i go full caster i either want wizard or sorceerer
Hmm i think im very interested in the arcane trickster, so i dont think ill go full caster, and what youre writing makes great sense, and i do understand it, and will therefore try to make it work out.
If i go arcane trickster, do you have any advice?
I can get my charisma to 18, i hope it will be ok,
I dont know, the others in the party has like +2 magic weapons, and a crystal worth 25000 gp, but i think i might gain some gold, or i hope i do... so what spells would you think would be cool for loki..?
Yeah but i need charisma for being the face of our group, (we dont have any) I think 16 will be enough for some time, and later ill get magic items to increase it...
