”Sercha!” Lydia gasps, gazing down at the ring. Fresh tears well in her eyes, this time of joy. ”I don’t want to spend another moment apart from you. I love you, too. Of course, I will marry you! Yes! A thousand times, yes!”

Lydia embraces Sercha. "No. The only fault lies with Zassiron, and he has paid the price. Do not blame yourself." She gives the fetchling a gentle kiss.

Lydia takes a deep breath. ”It is done.”

She kneels down and solemnly gathers Alainn’s belongings. ”I was hoping to bring their body home so that we might raise them from the dead, but they seem to have disappeared. I know not what that portends. For now, let us gather Meloigne and find our way back to Golarion.”

”Now we make you pay for your villainy. For Desna! For Alainn!” Blinking away tears, Lydia grimly fires on the dragon again.

Slicing the dragon as it flies away, Lydia hastens to Sercha’s side, using the wand to heal her. ”We can’t leave Alainn!” she says.

Lydia steps up to attack the dragon, largely unsuccessfullly.

Lydia cries out in pain as the the electricity scorches her. Smoke rises from her body as she falls to her knees, gasping for air. She proclaims a judgment as she uses her wand to heal herself.

Proclaim judgment of healing and protection. Gain fast healing 4 and +2 AC.

Lydia casts weapon of awe on her blade. She looks at Sercha, then nods resolutley. "In Desna's name, let's finish this!"

"No," Lydia replies firmly. She brandishes her blade and stalks towards the women. "I did warn you."

I don't even have to roll.

Lydia gives the women a stern look. "Right. Pull the other one. Stay out of our way and you will not be harmed. Interfere, and we will deal with you harshly."

”Good idea.” Lydia drinks the potions and refreshes shield of faith on herself and Sercha for good measure. ”Let’s do this.”

She leads the way through the double doors.

Lydia resists the magic thrown at her. The spiritual starknife continues to attack as she rushes to attack the demon with her blade!

Lydia casts a spell, conjuring a glowing golden star knife to attack the demon. She holds her blade at the ready, waiting for the fiend to come to her.

”This looks like a shrine built by somebody who doesn’t actually understand religion.”

She recovers the scroll from its hidden cove and holds onto it before gesturing to the stairs up.

"We should eliminate any potential allies so they cannot reinforce him when we confront him."

"That could work, or I could use my magic to make us invisible this time. Either way, we should go east first."

Lydia relents. ”Okay, a small reward would be appreciated.”

”No reward is necessary. Your captors still live, but we will deal with them before we leave this place. Perhaps it would be safest if you remain here for now. I promise we will return for you.”

"Sir Meloigne? Is that you? If so, we are here to rescue you," Lydia proclaims.

Lydia takes a minute to heal herself and Sercha before gesturing to the stairs in this room. ”Shall we?”

Lydia switches focus to the efreeti, scoring a possibly fatal blow!

Though unsure what spell she is casting, Lydia tugs Sercha's hand and tries to sneak out of the female genie's line of sight.

Lydia follows the prodding to the west door.

"Let's try a stealthy approach. Alainn, please make us invisible." Once that is done, the inquisitor begins to quietly creep ahead.

With a nod of thanks, Lydia drinks the potion. She casts shield of faith on herself and Sercha before soaring up after Alainn!

As the Keep comes in sight, Lydia casts heroism on herself and Sercha. "Alainn, can you fly around and see if there are any easy ways up there? Without magic, I fear Sercha and I are going to have to climb."

The next morning, after strapping her armor back on, she gestures towards the tokens in the box. "It seems we have our course. Let's set out and complete our mission."

Lydia is also badly wounded, but she uses her magic and her wand to heal herself and Sercha. (I’ll make the rolls tomorrow.)

The half elf blushes so she looks at the corset. ”Oh, uh... That is certainly a statement garment, isn’t it?”

For once, Lydia is grateful for Alainn’s interjection. ”Right. At any rate, we ought to rest so that we are at full strength before tackling the keep.”

Having had her fun, Lydia's expression turns stern again. "Balimar the Puppet Master. We have come for the conspirator's token you possess. We mean to defeat the Patchwork Lord. Surrender it peacefully, or we will take it by force."

"Well, pink is her color," Lydia comments with a bemused grin. Meanwhile, though, she checks the puppet and puppeteer for auras.

Sercha glances up at the ceiling and then does a double take before averting her eyes and clutching at Lydia's arm to pull her closer. "That's disgusting," she hisses.

"I am not sure if that one is even physically possible," the half-elf whispers back, cocking her head at an odd angle to try to figure out what is happening in that particular section of the mural.

"We shall speak to Balio and Balimar, Mr. Soft-Shoes," Lydia agrees. She gestures for the others to proceed further inside the theater.

Lydia's eyes rove over the ceiling's mural, blushing slightly at the subject matter depicted. She then turns her gaze on the fairy, resisting the urge to dance. "You are The Cricket, I presume? We are here to claim the last of the conspirator's token. What can you tell us about this place, and of the people who dwell here?"

Lydia snuggles with Sercha under the blankets that night, grateful for their reunion.

When they reach the building, the half-elf casts heroism and shield of faith on herself and the fetchling. "This must be The Theater, Alainn. Let's be ready for anything."

Lydia hisses in pain as the skeletons claw at her. "Fighting them is futile! We have to shoot the moon!"

She steps back and drops her blade, drawing her bow and firing up at the moon!

"All yours," Lydia says, yielding to Sercha should she wish to accept. Of course, she protects the fetchling with shield of faith and bolsters her with heroism before the battle commences.

Lydia notes the change in scenery as the trio travels on. "It is as if some of the magic has left this realm. The Mute Hag seems to have been tied to its creation in some way--perhaps she was a twisted echo of Sonnorae herself. I wonder what will become of the realm once we have finished our quest here."

The half-elf seems bemused by the appearance of the rabbit. "Greetings, Rabbit Prince. I will allow our storyteller to regale you with the tale." She gestures to Alainn.

”I like this ending better,” Lydia says. ”Shall we move on to the next location? We’re almost done now.”

Lydia shows no mercy to this dangerous foe.
