OK since I hinted about it in a previous post and was asked to, here is my very humble tribute to Ron's (and Vic, Mike...) fantastic work.

It started by the idea to create a specific homebrew adventure for evil characters based on the Sarkoris adventure from Ron (because I'm lazy and didn't want to lose time selecting locations and the like).
Possessed Spirits of Sarkoris.

OK now a bunch of warnings:
A) I'm a french guy so my english is crap.
B) In my version there are many nice pictures but I don't have the authorization to publish them so you have it "naked".
C) I shamelessly copied Ron's work to start from.
D) I'm an old DM that hates characters that feel that their equipement is forever - so on purpose you WILL have to banish your precious cards. That's part of the fun to have to do with improvised solutions and play with a different deck ecah time. Crazy optimizing deckbuilders should walk away now.
E) I do have crazy ideas for scenarios (I'm a really old DM).
F) It has only be played with 4-5 players teams. I have no clue if it's fun or even winable with a much smaller party.
G) This is YOUR game, if you don't like something, change it before playing it rather than complaining after.
H) This said I welcome ANY feedback.
I) Some of the craziest scenarios (especially all level 7 ones) can take HOURS to play. We love it when you battle for long (and we wanted a long showdown before retiring our heroes). If it isn't your case, skip the scenario.
J) feel free to remove from the box boons/loots/cohorts... that make no sense when not playing with mythic charges/paths for example. Or don't. Your pick.

And last: the original adventure from Ron is fantastic with only one little flaw: either he never tested it with 4-5 players or he hates spellcasters :-). I mean the ratio of spells vs any other kind of boons in the locations he used for 4-5 characters is ridiculously low. I...

Joli boulot François.

De belles et longues soirées en perspective.
Merci :)

Anyone in here good with making the art for these character sheets? Would love to maybe play with this character without it just being a bunch of text.

@LudwigO:
I have almost no experience on working with graphics, so I edited the initial drivethru version of all those cards using plain old paint (even though I know how to use GIMP for some tricks, I'm not very proficient with it and find it overwhelming). In particular, I only use freeware, so I guess I can't open your photoshop files?
If you'd like to remake the cards as vector graphic when I give you the text and pictures, you're welcome to do so, but I don't want to impose that much work on you (even though I would clearly credit you for the help - just as I will credit Longshot for his great feedback in the coming version).

I would be pleased to help you when you return from vacancy.

I am on vacation too and will b e back on 4th of September.
I sent you a PM.

Unfortunately, I used Drive Thru only to make a first version of some of the cards. Right now, Drive Thru is still missing some features that would be necessary to create all the cards I used:

- You can not make Support Cards
- You can not make a box "Check to defeat: None" that lacks a number
- For some reason, Drivethru allocates space for up to 4 different kinds of checks for each Check to defeat on certain banes, even if you use less. This makes the boxes look bad.
- There are some issues with the text in the Powers section being too long to display properly when using Drive Thru, although it can be manually edited to fit by moving some words around
- Drivethru applies a filter on the images you upload that somehow decreases the brightness. I think it has to do with downsampling the colours, but it makes some of the cards look much worse compared to their original image (especially the picture of Giant Beetle and Relentless Inquisitor). This is something I haven't fixed.

For these reasons, about half of the cards needed to be manually postprocessed by me to look the way they do now. I'd like to publish the cards on Drive Thru, but feel like it would be strange to publish an incomplete set due to the issues above.

What I could do is ask Drive Thru to add some of these features - so far, they've been very helpful when I submitted some bug reports and improved some options due to this. However, this will likely take a while, especially since I'll be on vacation soon.

I can offer you my help to edit the cards if you want. I also find Drive Thru Cards in some points not practical at all

So I create my own template with photoshop (you can check here if you want http://paizo.com/paizo/about/communityuse/registry)

Doppelschwert wrote:

On a related note - I saw that printing the cards from the PDF yielded some pretty blurry results. Does anyone know how I can improve that? I tried increasing the metadates of the PPI value which somehow helped, but also increased the filesize considerably.

There is no perfect solutions if you used a print screen from Drive Thru the PPI is around 75. And for a perfect printing result the PPI should be 300. What tools and softwares are you using ?

Amazing Work Doppelschwert !

Hi all,

is this link correct ? I have problem with it :(

Otherwise I wanted to tell you that your work is impressive.
I regularly look at this topic, and sometimes I think I'll do well in creating your cards in Photoshop / InDesign.

Have a nice day guys.

Looks like I formatted that URL wrong, sorry about that.

Here's the corrected one:
Harrow Boons

That's better, great compilation

Thanks Cart.

Now I can play with your work.

Steve Wieck would be able to answer this completely but you're correct, after the card is created, you can no longer see the "back" of the card. You're only seeing the "front". Back when two-sided cards were being tested and produced, I mentioned this to him. Right now, there is no way to see both sides of the cards.

Thanks a lot for your answer Theryon.

So we will wait for Steve Wieck.

Because if I put myself in the place of the customer, if I buy a scenario card, I would like to know if there are custom location needed.

Hi everybody,

I have one question regarding the Card Creator (maybe a stupid one)
I can't see the back of the card I created and especially for the Location & Scenario Cards....
Does anyone had the same problem ? And maybe the solution ?

Greetings...

What I am looking for is the following (if they exist):
- Template cards that are already formatted for editing (with text boxes already laid out). While I would like the "official" fonts, I wouldn't mind a template that had fonts that were close.

Do either of these things exist (and if so, where would I find them)?
Thanks for listening.

Until that time...

I don't know this AP but if you need help to edit/create the cards don't hesitate.

Sovereign Court

I really love this idea of Side quest.

Take time to enhance the scenario reward but at the risk to not finishing it.

Amazing work, as usual. Thanks Ron.

I didn't know what to do during my holidays.

I said, ok I will create an easier one for you.

So I created few cards and I think I will finish the set in a few days.

Here is the first sheet

Sovereign Court

You will probably find what you want here ;)

Sovereign Court

it's the DAX Font.
The size depends.
For the Character card :
Name : 16 (Bold)
Favored Card : 7 (Bold)
Cards list and traits : 7 (Bold)

For the Role card
Powers : 7 (Bold)
Hand Size / Proficient With : 6 (Bold)
Powers description : 6 (Regular)
Powers Flavour : 7,5 (Regular)
Name / Role : 16 (Bold)

For the Token card :
Name : 16 (Bold)
Traits : 7 (Bold)

I hope it helps you.

Sovereign Court

Well it wont stop the Arabundi shenanigans and so what ?

I think it's not really a problem that need a fix.
PACG is cooperative and not competitive, if someone want to optimize Arabundi and waste feats to only Cure or Augure during his play session it's his problem.
He "losts" one character for the adventure that can't do much else than that...

I browse all the comments here, and no one say they will play Arabundi like that.
So, ok there is a infinite loop, but play as you want respecting the rules :)

Sovereign Court

I created all the cards for my personal use Andrew.
I specify it because I didn't get all the permission to use the arts for the cards. Some art are from Paizo blog under their Community Use Policy and others not.

But if you want I can send you a compressed file of all the cards.

Sovereign Court

And maybe a Spell.

Sovereign Court

I would say no.

It's instead of the die not the skill..

I am in.
I'll send you a PM.

oops, I should have changed the scenario to read may not be closed, not temporarily closed. So the only place you can finally beat the villain is in one of the three locations.

After few family affairs, I could finally play !!

So for the first Scenario, as I said above, once we know that we can't defeat
the villain "CLUES" if he is not in one of the 3 first location (Sewer, Cemetary, Village House ) it's ok.
If we met him elsewhere we considered him undefeated and shuffled him back in open location.

So I think you need to re write the "During Scenario" and the the powers of the Villain to explain what is suppossed to happen.

For the second Scenario. There is two little points to clarify
Villain - Father Pellorus : If the displayed henchmen is a Bandit do we "Recharge" or "Discard" 2 cards from our hand ?
the word "RECHARD" is a bit confusing :D

Henchmen - Minion : I don't really know if his power needs to be clarify, but my first reaction was to say, "I have a Henchman not a monster displayed"...

For the Third Scenario. For the Location Venthus Estate, when you resolve the "When Permanently closed" section. Where does the random spell come from ?

For the Fourth Scenario .
The two Henchmen Noble and Sherri Plast are supposed to be display next to the Adventure? Because it's written "next to the barrier" on the card.

And just a question to be sure about Sly the Great, if we fail the before encounter check we evade the encounter we DO NOT fail the encounter ? Right ?

For the Fifth Scenario : I don't have the Mastermind card in the zip file.......

Sovereign Court

You have to imagine a mathematical formula.

Replace OR by * and Then by + and you won't be wrong anymore.

OK not perfect though... cause you have to find Letter format paper rather than A4 in order to get those #@#¤$ character sheets in that #@#¤$ game box, and that in Paris is way much more difficult than defeating an AP6 villain with only a FAQed Dagger and a Blessing of Hawkmoon

Si tu veux une conversion Letter -> A4 je peux te faire ça rapidement ;)

I will try it this week.

I just quickly read the first Scenario and the villain "Clues".
I like the idea that the final step of a scenario is not just kill a bad guy :)

But for this Villain what am I supposed to do if I find it in the Woods and all the other location are closed ?

It's just a detail but in the file you call it v1.1

And I also noticed that for the 6C Scenario there is twice the same location "The old Light"

What if the second card is also a medallion?

I think the answer is here. No matter when it happens, if you have to Medallion in arow you will do like Ron explain.

Ron Lundeen wrote:
At the beginning of the next turn, you flip a medallion so you again do the steps in "When the Sihedron Appears"--make the check, then advance the blessings deck--but you flip another medallion when you do. Since you've revealed a medallion, you immediately perform the "When the Sihedron Appears" step: make the check, then advance the blessings deck (flipping over the final blessing). Then "shuffle" both medallions back into the empty blessings deck. Your blessings deck now consists of two medallions, and that's it.

Sovereign Court

Thanks ThreeEyedSloth.

Hi all,

i am discovering the forum slowly and found this interesting thread :)

I created .PSD templates usable with Photoshop based on the PDF template available here.
I added recently in the "communityuse/registry" a link to the files

You can find them here and here

Sovereign Court

I love the idea.

If I could help in any way count me in.

I created PSD templates of the cards (from the PDF template of the Community use Package) for Rise of The Runelords.
