Loris sighs. He's a firm believer in taking care of ones self and does not feel as though Grau deserves the help after defiling himself in drink... But, respects the decision of others to help him.

"You guys go on ahead, I'll catch up. He says, as he continues to eat his meal at the normal pace.

Loris response last night to Ryder's Question... "I agree. Some of this obviously belonged to someone. I bet they would appreciate having it back. He looks at the ring specifically... This might be stolen, or if this, "Emmah", was someone Gaedren killed, I'm sure their loved ones would like to know what happened. Either way, I'd be willing to try.

Next Morning:

Loris wakes up, performs his daily prayers, preps some spells, and heads down to meet the rest of the party.

"Well, it certainly doesn't look as bad as last night. Anybody else hungry?

If Yes:
Loris suggests we go find something to eat.
If No:
Loris says, "Well I guess I can find something quick on the road, whats the plan?

Loris then goes off to find himself a place to lay down for the night, doing his best to drown out the sounds of rioting in the streets.

There is a bed available, but he's spent so much of his life sleeping in the trees and wilderness that he prefers not to use them.

Loris tries to identify #18 and #20

Perception 18: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Perception 20: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Then turns to attempt to assist the person with the highest appraise check (Probably "New" Ralof)

Loris helps Ryder Barricade the door after finding Zellaras key on Yargins key-ring and locking the door.

He then turns his attention to the loot collected...

Loris free action drops the table behind him, which falls into the pit below. He then uses a swift action to maintain his Enlarged status.

He uses a move action to attempt to lift the table in front of Gaedren..
Str Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 Success

With his Standard action he swings the table itself at Gaedren.

Improvised Weapon: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 - 4 = 9 Now that would have been hilarious

MAP

Gaedren now has no table in front of him.. I have no way of editing the table out of the map since it is part of the background image, but there is no table there. The table that is left is represented by the blue bar.

Loris takes a free action to tells Ralof to take a step to his right (up on the map) He will then HOLD his action until after Ralof Moves and attacks (You can still attack gaedren from this position)

If he does, the map looks like this: MAP (I'm still in the corner from my last move)

Then on his turn....

Gaedren Still Alive:

Loris drops his spear and runs up the the now vacated area, uses his swift action Enlarge Person and attempts to lift the table out from in front of gaedren.

Str Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 Success

This consumes two movements and his turn is over with him now holding the table.. Size Large

The Map Looks like this: MAP

Gaedren does not have his cover bonus anymore.

Gaedren Dead:

He does the same as if Gaedren was still alive, but with the table in front of Yargin instead.

Ryder is correct, the Harrow Reroll is for Dex based rolls. I'd also like to point out, that if you had gotten to use your reroll. a roll of 19 on a greatsword is a potential critical hit and you get to roll again to confirm. Also your damage on the greatsword should be 2d6+6

Loris (going before Ralof) wants to go help Ryder, but cannot get in a proper position due to his slower than molasses movement in medium armor to where his burst won't heal the enemies as well.

He moves to better positioning for next round and takes a strike at Gaedren.

Loris thinks about it for a bit: Hmm, we could swim out there, but who knows if there are more sharks. There may be a way to access it from inside the ship itself, but it looks sketchy at best. Or I suppose we could climb down to the platform with rope"

Climb Down Option:
Loris pulls out his silk rope and begins tying knots in it. He should only need about 5-10 to get low enough to reach the lower dock. After enough knots are in the rope he secures an end to one of the posts on the catwalk.

After securing the rope, he climbs down, and is successful (DC5 for knotted rope - taking 10 on climb check = 12 for Loris)

He ties off the other end to the lower platform to make it easier for the others to climb down.

Map

The rope goes from dot's #1 on the upper platform to the lower platform on #2. Remember that the upper platform crashed into the river previously and is no longer there.

Swim Option:
Loris swims out to the lower platform and attempts to climb up.

Climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 Probably DC15 Easy enough to find ledges and handholds (DC10), but quite slippery from the river water and moss (+5)

He fails to make it up to the platform.

DC15 to hear whispered conversation (Ralof can just hear it as they are still next to each other). However, he's using a Halfling language, so you only understand him if you speak halfling

Loris follows Ryder inside the compound and to one of the windows. He sizes it up thinks I suppose I can fit through here? Ever the impatient one, instead of looking for a way to open the window, he smashes it with his spear.

Glass has 1hp with 1pt Hardness, Loris's minimum damage breaks this glass easily

SharksDead:

Small Talk:

While he was indeed banished from his Halfling village, it was the only home he ever knew. He can't help but feel a connection to the young sorcerer "You would have made an excellent Halfling", Loris exclaims as he goes into his own story of his youth

Back to the present:

"Kill him? Perhaps, Perhaps not. From what Zellara, You, and Ralof have told me, he certainly deserves it, but he doesn't seem like one to go without a fight."

"Honestly, I've been so focused on finding him that I hadn't really thought what I would do to him when I did. Hmmm" Loris loses himself in thought as he ponders what possibilities await his finally confronting Gaedren.

A few minutes later, Loris walks into the building. Seeing an elf sitting in one of the 3 chairs on this side of the table, he thinks to himself This couldn't possibly be the one who sent the note or he'd be on the other side of the table.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Loris see's the elf's weapons and armor. He is obviously well trained.

"Hello there fair warrior. My name is Loris Rakain. I take it you're here for the same reason as I?"

Loris approaches the table, reads the note. "How is the bread?" He picks up a loaf before Ralof can answer his question.

Loris Takes a seat at the table, but leaves the open chair in the middle.

"I take it there will be another to join us?"

Loris looks down at his meal. Salmon and Potatoes, the presentation is adequate Not bad, not bad at all, he thinks. He looks back up at the smiling waitress; smiles in return as he fumbles around for 5 silver.

"Here you are ma'am. And a silver piece for your trouble"

Ok, so I finished making up Loris Rakain. (Although I need to transfer his sheet over to the google docs sheet yet)

Take a look at his profile; You should notice that in the "Race" category, there is a spoiler tag for Status. I want you guys to do the same. This shall be where you keep track of daily usage items and hit points. For example, I can channel Energy 4 times a day as well as use my enlarge ability 5 times a day.

You can add anything you feel needs to be tracked inside that spoiler.. Arrows, Spells Per Day, ect..

-------------

In the "Class / Levels" section.. Add another Spoiler tag with your Current Stats.. I have AC, Touch AC, Flat Footed AC, All three saves, My initiative modifier, and perception bonus.

At minimum I'll want these to be displayed here, as I will from time to time roll for you in some instances.

Please keep these as up to date as possible. For instance.. Right now, you should notice my AC is 16.. However, I have a shield that will increase it to 17 when I equip it. When I do, I will make a change to the profile so it is reflected in future posts.

I've created an alias for the Battle Cleric I will be using as an NPC along side you guys.

If you haven't already done so, make yourself an alias with your chars name... If you don't know where to do that: Click on the My Account link and scroll down to the Message Board Aliases link. Give him a name and an appropriate picture, and then edit his profile to include some minor information. (We'll be using the Google Drive sheets for the main info)

Most importantly, in the "Class/Race" option: Create a spoiler tag with your characters current status. HP.. AC.. Will/Reflex/Fort saves.. Anything with a daily limit.. Ammunition for arrows... ect..

Here's how it will look.. Again replace {} with [].

{spoiler=Status} HP 10/10; Channel 3/3; AC 18; Will 7; Ref 2;{/spoiler}

I haven't finished my char so not all of my info is in there yet. But you'll notice that the spoiler tag will be in every post he makes. Try to keep them as up to date as possible.
