Lorian pondered a bit. "Looks like we might have to get some stronger magic to get the others taken care of."

Willing to kick in 2 pp towards a Restoration spell.

"We can take care of those that are knocked out." Lorian said, passing out some healing magic until they come out of it.

Looking at the departed he shook his head. "Nikita and Tull, lets find shovels and such to give the fallen a proper burial."

The monks in the courtyard looked stunned by everything that's happened: strangers, fires, mind-control, and a ghost!

Lorian looked around and frowned. "Sorry, we did not wish to disrupt the harmony of the monastery, is everyone alright?" he asked as he worked to calm things down.

Lorian teamed up with Tull to make sure that Jathyl was not going away...other than to have a one way trip to Pharasma to discuss her various misdeeds.

Lorian got ready to deal with the threat as he did a flurish with his sword. "Your time is up Jathyl, you have failed!" he said

Challenge (Ex) 1/day [Swift Action], you can challenge a foe to combat. Choose one target within sight to challenge. Your melee attacks deal 1 extra damage whenever the attacks are made against the target of the challenge. Challenging a foe requires much of the cavalier's concentration. The cavalier takes a -2 penalty to his Armor Class, except against attacks made by the target of his challenge. The challenge remains in effect until the target is dead or unconscious or until the combat ends. Each cavalier's challenge also includes another effect which is listed in the section describing the cavalier's order.

Challenge An order of the XXXXXX cavalier can make a free bull rush or trip combat maneuver anytime he takes the full-attack action against the target of his challenge. This free combat maneuver does not provoke an attack of opportunity. (Useless against a ghost, but I think this is his first one)

Lorian shook is head. "Sigh" he muttered as he heard the spirit want to engage in battle rather than talking things out. Stepping into the court yard, he started to rally the group for the battle.

Swift-Pincer Maneuver movement (+2 competence bonus to attack and damage rolls when flanking and as a dodge bonus to AC against attacks of opportunity provoked by movement (including standing from prone). Move to new location. Standard-Ready action to flank when Tull attacks.

"The stuff is magical" Lorian said, indicating the potions, bracers and robes.

Looking over the unconscious form of Spica, he shook his head. "Sorry, I am not much of the healing type." he said, reaching for one of his wands.

Lorian frowned as he saw specked of blood on his clothes. Stepping outside the quiet area, he started to cast a spell. A hand gesture and a few words later, the noble vestments looked clean and new.

Seeing Pai checking out the bodies, he cast another spell and started see if anything glowed.

Got it. It has been a while since he did any type of maneuver other than attacks and such. That last one was a reposition to stuff the target under the table during the usual assassination attempt.

Lorian stepped over the fallen foe and moved next to Spica. Reaching down with his free hand, he pulled her away from the remaining monk.

I move 40" so I should be good to go.

Trying to make his way past Ginger, Lorian got ready for Tull to unleash some attacks on the closer monk.

Move to new location. Ready action: Flank attack with Tull

Tull, need need you to move since there is a bottleneck.

"It is never nice fighting a battle in terrain that the enemy set up. Here is some tactical advice to help things." he said before sounding a battle cry to stir the others.

Tactician. Everyone gains Precise strike for 6 rounds (+1d6 damage when flanking. Sound the Charge. +2 to attacks and damage, +10' to charges. Not sure if Pai can hear it

Lorian looked into the room and smiled as he pointed to the nearest monk. "Bring it on" he said, drawing his sword with one hand and motioned the foe towards him with the other...

"Next room?" Lorian suggested to the group as he pointed in its direction.

Lorian watched the interaction between Pai and the statue. "Yes, and is it theft when one seeks to return that which was stolen?" he asked.

"Sounds good, Nikita and Tull will you lead the way?" Lorian asked.

"Pai, you might want to come down a bit, so that you do not find the ceiling the hard way." Lorian said.

Joining Tull to look over the page he frowned. "Strange, how did a drawing of you get all the way over here?" he asked Nikita. "Looks like we might need the book or whatever that this came from. You might have an adversary".

No problem at this end.

Lorian listened to the lecture on the First World. "So, it sounds like a trial run for the gods?" he asked.

"Let us work to locate this person or creature that seeks to disrupt the harmony of this temple. " Lorian said. "While everyone is getting patched up, we can use the time to start from the beginning and see if we can figure out what happened."

Lorian was happy at the sudden change of things and held up his hand as he tried to remember what he could of the Vudrani language. "Would any of you by chance speak the trade tongue?" he asked.

Stepping over the unconscious foe, Lorian continued to use the wrong end of the rapier on the foes.

"So be it!" Lorian said as he stepped over to assist Nikita. Looking to time it just right, he proceeded smash the pommel of the rapier across the grappled foe.

Seeing the master prone on the ground barely breathing, Lorian gave him a tap of a wand to help keep him from dying. " Pai, I am so glad that you did not do that in the library!" he said.

Lorian, watching the blast of water smash into monk, got ready to see the master come crashing to the ground.

I have one full First Aid glove with 5 gems. Will try to use Breath of Life on him to keep the Master from dying.

Lorian saw the writing on the statue and did his best to keep his face passive as he passed along a message to warn Nikita.

"Sorry, Pai. It is not a good idea to make up a title. Nobility tend to get rather "vengeful" if you give yourself a title that you have not earned. Lorian said, making his way to the locked gate.

"Good day Brothers of the Monastery of the Unremitting Tide. May we enter in order to speak with the head of your order? he stated in a clear voice that could be heard over the din of battle.

"There is only one way to find out. Lorian said as he motioned for the group to head into the compound. "Do you have any titles by chance? he added to Nikita.

"Lets find out what is going on and try to put a stop to it." Lorian said

The problem is not as much of the winds but the storm surge, and if it hits at high tide.

It might be better if it lingers before landfall. Near Florida the heat from the Gulf Stream can help boost them before they hit. Not sure what it is like off the coast, but visiting Australia is on my wish list.

Lorian looked over the instructions and pondered the implications before tucking them away.

"In an emergency, I "Might" be able to cast them Pai, but I will leave it to one's that are more capable with magic."

Good luck, we get to deal with hurricanes here. It does not help that Florida is a speed bump for them.

"How have you been doing Nikita and Tull?" Lorian asks. "May I introduce you to Pai Shecks, she was with the group that went to Axis to petition that Hao Jin be allowed to close out the chapter on the Tapestry." Lorian said.

"Pai, May I introduce you to Nitika Volkov and Tull Shadde-Quah, they can attest that evertying got puck back itno their respective places."

"Just the one document was taken, and not the others correct?" Lorian asked Wystrom as he pondered the theft. "Pray tell, why were they moved from their normal areas to the reliquary?"

Lorian looked at Pai, seeing that she had not change much since the last time he encountered the walking whirlpool of energy on the adventure to Axis. He might as well get ready to use some magic to dry his clothes between her and the Undine.

Entering the former cathedral to The Last Azlanti, he noted what he could about its features in case he ran into a follower of Aroden back in Taldor.

Hearing the outburst of anger, Lorian felt at home. The half-elf smiled as he turned on the charm "The loss of knowledge cannot go unchecked. Please, Senior Librarian Telfyr, why not have a seat and go into the details of the theft." he asked, inviting him to sit down.

"The joys of nobility, I go through many changes of clothes and hair styles everyday." he said. "As for myself, I was able to see everything concerning the Tapestry get put back into their proper places at Round Mountain. That chapter of the life of Hao Jin can be closed, satisfactorily." he said with an ear to ear grin.
