![]() Been a busy week for me. First, I offer up the nightmare known as the Paragon Pugwampi, and now I offer up the Book 6 version of Undrella I made up to help (or hinder) my players: She is statted out to be an efreeti killer what with her Frost Bombs. Since she flys,m I figured giving her protection from arrows would be a good defensive maneuver. UNDRELLA THE ALCHEMIST -- CR 11

![]() For your consideration: A sheet to keep track of player's Hit Points and core stats so that the GM may, at his discretion make save or skill checks without the players knowing the results. Sometimes, as a gm, I would like to have players make skill checks or saves but I do not want them to know what they are checking. Using this sheet, I can ask them to roll a d20, look up the appropriate stat/skill and know the result. The only thing the player knows is that SOMETHING may have happened, but the chances of them meta-gaming what happened is reduced. This sheet allows me to know what a players stats are. Each block is broken into three areas, an area for core stats, an area to keep track of current hit points, and an area for recording a players skill values that I might want to roll 'behind the screen' I hope other find this useful. ![]()
![]() The group I am escorting through this AP finally got to meet Xulthos today. At their request, they wanted me to take photos of the models I used and offer them up for sharing: Xulthos is model 14244: Giant Scorpion, Nefsokar Monster from Reaper's Warlord line. The wings I used were from One Monk Miniatures Hybrid Buzzers and are just resting in the crook of the legs so that I can still use the scorpion later if necessary as just a giant scorpion. Personally I thought the model turned out great and the jaws hit the floor when I pulled him out of the transport box. Oh, and Kardswann is also a Reaper model (#03461: Goldar the Barbarian) ![]()
![]() How do they work together? Sure you get +2 to attack sighted opponent or +20 to Stealth. But what about Sleight of Hand? Is there a bonus to pick someones pocket while Invisible? I am thinking about granting reducing the Sleight-of-hand check to a DC 10 when picking a pocket while invisible. Is this reasonable? How are others handling this? ![]()
![]() I just had a vision of 3 Chubacabras being ridden by 3 Pugwampi. Since the unluck aura is affecting the chubba's it means that they are running full tilt into buildings and tripping over one another. The pugs on the other-hand are laughing and having a grand old time. Might make for a fun encounter when in the middle of Kelmarane. So what other fun encounters have you created using these little menaces? ![]()
![]() I am a big fan of handing things out the the players for them to use at the table. With this in mind, I have created some 4x6 graphics containing the art from the book of the NPCs and the monsters so that I can show what they (the NPCs or monsters) look like without having to show them the book. There is a sample of two NPCs: HERE How do they look? I also created an 8.5x11 handout of the map showing the area around Kelmarane. Again, something to hand to the players for them to look at and debate their next move over. Our first game day will be this Saturday. Once I get all the character names I will post the group in the proper post. ![]()
![]() Majuba, Deidre Tiriel, and I will be hosting some PFS tables at Texicon on 22 May in beautiful(?) downtown Ft. Worth, Texas. On the slate to be played: PFS #39 Citadel of Flame (Hosted by Pel)
In order to be the most flexible, games will be repeated over the course of the day to get people the most opportunities to play ALL the scenarios we are offering. For more information, go to:
Y'all, c'mon over and see us now, ya heah? ![]()
![]() In the SD campaign that I am currently playing in, the group was granted a wish by a shaitan. It took about an hour of precious game time for the paranoid members of the group to agree on the wording. At one point I was afraid that a physical brawl would ensue between two of the players over the phrasing. This got me to thinking about how strict to interpret wish statements. To me, the flexibility a genie took in interpreting a wish is dependent on the alignment of the genie. A good genie would take into account the INTENT of the wish rather than the exact phrasing. An evil genie would of course twist the wish to their own devious pleasures. A neutral genie would interpret the wish to give the wishee (?) just barely what they ask for and no more. I am curious about the communities perspectives on 'wish phrasing'. Your thoughts are appreciated. -Pel ![]()
![]() Subject line says it all. I am looking for some PFS play in or about the Arlington Texas area. Yes, I know about the game day in Houston, but that is 6 hours away. A wee bit far for me to drive. I have been away from RPGs for about 15 years, but the Pathfinder Adventure Paths have drawn me in and I would like to get back in. Just need some players and/or a GM. (I'm willing to GM, but I have to learn the 3.5/OGL/PathFinder Beta rules first). Thanks. |
