...as Triel gets ready to knock on the door, a red slip of paper falls out of the sky in front of her, with some tiny writing on it. Tiny writing: I needed to take a break from getting the poor thing in the yard up and running, but you left so quickly I barely had time to respond. I'm here, I'm just doing my thing until someone sees me or I get bored. -L
Lohn continues to hover, waiting for some sort of signal or indication that attacking should happen. They're supposed to be an investigator, not a murderer, at least for this case, and killing people and using them like clockwork is just bad for everyone.
While this discussion is on-going, Lohn speedily flies through the house, minding the servants and other potential pitfalls while remaining unseen and largely unperceived except for the slight breeze of her passing along. Taking care to not get TOO close to the person being questioned, she looks for a good position to have elevation and angle on the target.
Lohn had been sitting at the door for a while, trying to figure out a good way to quietly open it without alerting any denizens within the structure. When she heard some activity on the other side of the door she paused for a bit, debating whether to reveal herself opening the door or wait. As the activity faded away she let out a small sigh of relief that was quickly dashed by the sound of a small explosion somewhere in the structure. With subtlety apparently out the window, she grabbed at the handle and attempted to pull the door open pumping her wings frantically for leverage.
Lohn will turn her attention to the lock, to unlock it at the very least so there is more than one exit or entrance to the building should it be necessary.
The unseen pixie looks for other avenues of entry, such as a fireplace, a window, or other means that may be open due to functionality, and whether any of them are viable options (ie, no fire in the fireplace makes the chimney an option, etc).
"If they pay their taxes and respect the local laws as much as they matter, they're legal. Just like me and a half-dozen other folks. It's when they start not paying taxes or murdering folks and leaving evidence trails that the situation changes. At least, that's if I remember the rules right?" Lohn offers trying to recall the rules of Lethe.
Lohn had been watching quietly for something BAD to happen. She wasn't expecting a breaking of the spell over Collette nor the crying. She springs up atop the desk and moves over to give the client/victim/poor confused person a hug. "But just Triel, right? No mention of anyone else?" The trickster nature of the pixie folk tied in with the roguish nature of a proper machinesmith are both reaching for a very disturbing idea, but they don't want to broach it just yet. We could totally ambush the jerk that's been causing all this trouble! "If the hold was broken, the person who put it on might have been informed. We should be ready for attack as well as the possibility that our moves will be even more monitored than we previously expected." she offers thoughtfully.
Just a head's up, Lohn's player will be at a convention all weekend starting on Thursday and will have a heck of a time posting using a tablet. They should be back on Monday evening.
Lohn fades into view -- or was she sitting there the whole time? -- atop one of the bookcases looking down at the new arrivals. "Welcome back. What sort of news do we have to work with now? Well, except for Lady Vulpina... we already spoke..." The diminutive toymaker and locksmith squints a bit as she watches thoughtfully.
Lohn will depart and head back to the office, unseen and cautious en route. They keep an eye out and make sure that the path they take is twisting and varied.
Quietly Lohn gives the officers a look-over for anything untoward while maintaining a safe distance, then waits for a good opportunity to fly off when it presents itself if the guards seem legit.
The wafting of air over Vulpina's shoulder and the faintest of whispers... "Yes, we should be mindful." emanates from that rough area before the silence descends once more.
Indeed, the book vanishes perfectly into mid-air, with little explanation given other than a "Yeah, that's probably a good call." before the unseen person fades out once more, stashing the diary in their bag.
"I'm here to be your shadow and support. If I don't go with you and someone is watching this location, then you will be in a serious amount of danger, particularly if the opponent is powerful. ...speaking of, when you head back to the office, don't go straight back. Take some time to smell the flowers and maybe go attend a religious service or two. Never know what people of faith might be able to help bring to the table -- clearly for hypothetical reasons, of course, right?" Lohn will do one last sweep of the area and the body before going back to overwatch for 'Fecklin'.
Lohn flies down and behind Lekoa, pulling forth their enchanted cold iron leafblade and attempting to jab it into the 'hungry' fellow. His words seem to indicate that negotiation is no longer an option, so best to handle the situation quickly. I'm sorry, bub. Hopefully we can subdue you, but I'm fresh out of subduing weapons.
Lohn, meanwhile, is unobtrusively attempting to get eyes on 'Mister Lekoa' with care to not get ambushed. Unfortunately, they don't have a good way to communicate this as of yet.
Lohn will pull the door lightly to let their visible partner in, then drop an arrow pointing to the window before sneaking out to see what the snuffling is all about sight unsen -- and hoping that it doesn't have a good sense of smell, whatever it is.
The unseen assistant that Fecklin is not referring to takes a look at the door really quick to determine if it is locked, if it can be unlocked (and doing so) before zipping around the building looking for another entrance into the room
Lohn quietly and unobtrusively followed Vulpina in her alternate guise, taking care to stay out of sight and not interfere, in case the noblewoman in disguise needed support.
Lohn will appear long enough to point out her discoveries and insights and then offer to cover whatever bases the party has not already considered, or to provide support quietly and unseen for one of the more short-handed groups going out. She doesn't say much, though, seemingly preoccupied with something serious.
Ready to move out.

Lohn gives Triel a 'thumb's up' and then goes back to Invisibility while taking another glance around the room.
Lohn appears to be napping by this point, though anyone paying close attention can tell that she's just being silly and pretending to be asleep waiting for someone to look up where she's at. In keeping with trying to not reveal her presence to the folks outside the room, she quietly opens her eyes and points to the book hopefully. She then makes a motion of putting it into something, then pointing at Lavi's bag. Sure, Lohn could carry the book, but she's paranoid enough that she doesn't want it to have some sort of tracking spell on it to follow her while she's invisible.
Lohn sits for about a half-minute or so before her eyes catch sight of something from her vantage point, and she flies over on to the wardrobe, pointing to something quietly while glancing to the other two in the room, attempting to not raise too much noise and alerting others outside the room just yet...
Save for perhaps the lightest of breezes near the heads of some of the party members, Lohn has been largely out of sight since Vulpina took her into the back room for something. She is actually there, flying along with the party, but staying out of sight both as a bit of a 'pout' AND because it's keeping Vulpina the wanna-be-tyrant quiet, too. From a rational perspective, Vulpina was Right. But that didn't change how much of a horrible person she was being in presenting being Right in the pixie's opinion, and for the time being, it was better this way.
When the party gets to the location in question she will fly into the room, then check under the bed stealthily as well as behind the door and the rafters of the ceiling, not breaking her invisibility until she's made a nice sweep of the area and then sitting on the top of the open door when she does so to report her findings.
Vulpina: "Done." Lohn says with a rather dismissive tone for someone of such low station . "Do leave the door open a smidgen would you?" And that being said, the pixie fades from view once more....
Vulpina: Lohn was going to fly out of the box but rides along with the 'IN' box to the room a bit of a ways out of the way. However, once the box is set down, she leaps into the air... and vanishes. After Vulpina has had a moment or two to discuss her concerns and take a few deep breaths, the pixie comes back into view balancing on the edge of the 'IN' box. "Liars and cheats have tells if they are being deceptive. By being bold and direct, and hitting the facts of the case as they are known it can shoot holes in any fabrications. We don't want to be chasing wild fowl for three days while the trail goes cold, do we?" "Was that out of line? I have such a hard time telling with big-uns sometimes. I mean, it's not like I went and took her on some madcap adventure to Pixieland for six hours or tried to kill the client, right?" Lohn is squinting at Vulpina. "I was attempting to boil down to the facts of the case quickly so we could go investigate NOW. Too many times big-uns get this whole 'we'll see' sort of mentality about them and that turns into 'never gets done'. Not because they're deliberately fibbing, but because people FORGET. Now can we go and find her brother's murderer and bring her peace and quiet and us some serious cash? I've got a design for a toy in mind but I need money for parts."
"That sounds very hard to arrange. I mean, if someone was trying to slit their wrist on their bed... here, let me demonstrate!" Lohn offers, using the 'IN' box of the desk to act as an 'impromptu bed', ducking her hand into a tiny glass of water before making a gurgling sound and flopping 'dead' into the box. Barring obscure shenigans by someone else, the water dripping from Lohn's hand should go everywhere, not in one neat little spot like a chamber pot would be represented by Lohn's pixie-sized glass. "Bleahhhh." she hops up with a bit of a startled expression on her face. "I think we're going to help, right!?" she says to the rest of the office, seemingly unaware of how macabre her little play-acting might be to the casual observer.
Lohn comes flying in from elsewhere in the building, possibly from setting up some sleeping arrangements and does a circling flight around the young lady. "It was your brother? What happened exactly? When did it happen? Where did it happen? The more information you know is the faster we can help with your case... that is, if you want us to. We wouldn't dream of forcing someone to GIVE us a case, after all. You DO want us to help you, right?"
"Yeah, we should figure out who gets what room to sleep in. Because I don't want to come in from working on the case and then find four other people in my room because they all liked it. Priorities!"
"Let's do them all!" Lohn says with an excited airborne loop. "I mean, let's do the one where we look for someone's killer, but keep our ears open for anything else we might ALSO hear, because sometimes these things work in threes or whatnot! So we might come across clues for other cases while we're working on the primary! That way, if we get done with the first case we can then swiftly move to the next one and so on, and get a whole bunch done really fast and then build our reputation so we can really help a lot of people...and us make a tailtonne of money in the process.."
"You're not a god, so you don't have infinite locked down. Just saying." the small flittering faerie offers with another stuck out tongue. "And humility is kind of important, too, because otherwise you end up in the sewers in your finest clothing right before an important dinner." There's a bit of a pause. "No, that's not a threat! Honest! It's just what I've seen happen to people who think they're better than everyone else! Absolutely didn't do it myself!" Lohn peers sideways. "So what's our first case going to be? Something really meaty, or something boring, like 'Oh no, I lost my shoe, could you rescue it before the Grand Ball'?" she offers to try and change the subject.
"Anyone who thinks themselves perfect is a flawed person." Lohn chimes in, sticking out her tongue at Vulpina. "We're not in a perfect world, after all."
Lohn is leaning towards the Old Family Recipe Case, as a tradesperson she totally understands and respects the need for 'trade secrets' to remain exactly that.
A pixie clad in skin-tight leathers Spoiler: flits over to the paperwork for a moment or two and then begins flying around in lazy circles outside of the clerk's space.
