Click on this alias for a mid-leveled cruoromancer wizard build (minion blocks included!). It's dhampir only, but still very fun. This good thing about this build is the favored class bonus for dhampir wizards which increases the DC of necromancy spells. If you look under her spell sections, her necromancy spell DCs are pretty terrifying.

Her backstory is something that creates nightmares too, but that's beside the point.

It appears some of the party was unprepared for the espionage and subterfuge that comes with this campaign, instead wanting to experience the more simple smash and grab kind of adventure. I, for one, am still entirely on board, but there's only so much that can be done if the majority of the party has lost interest.

Unbeknownst to the rest of the ninth knot, Lil made plans for while the rest of them were gone. Secret, diabolical plans that they knew nothing of whilst they left her alone in their private sanctum...

Lil's Plan:
The biggest tea party ever! Lil has so many good friends now and some of them are so big that she just couldn't pass up on the opportunity! Skeletons and boggards minotaur and treant all around a massive stump that the treant ripped up to serve as a table. Lil giggles as she switches between gossiping with the skeletons to telling jokes with Cowbell to playing pranks on Woody with Kumanda and the other bugbears. In Lil's mind it is a wonderful fantasy full of noise and cheer and good times. But in reality it is a a demented child talking to a bunch of mindless undead in a true display of psychological horror.

What a delight.

If you guys want I could take a much more active role in the defenses, doing my best attempt to avoid metagaming. So just to catch up on a few things...

This ritual takes 222 days, which is just under 32 weeks. What week are we currently in?

We know we need three sacrifices. One is already done, one is a worshiper of Mitra, one is the blood of the Victor. Do we have either of the last two, or do we know where to get them?

We need to manage minions and horn defenses. This is the day to day stuff. We need to ask ourselves:
What can we do to make the horn stronger?
What should our minions be doing? (GM, how many minion actions a week so we get?)
What should we spend our money on? (Lil has crafting abilities, make a wishlist!)
Other things to take care of.

I say we get something like rings of message and just collapse all of the entrances. We can just teleport through the horn with a keyword.

As for my undead:

The minotaur stays with Lil at all times.

The treant guards the front entrance.

The burning skeletons circle the horn at night within sight of the treant. If one of them goes out, it will inform the minotaur who will wake Lil.

I'm open for suggestions with all my boggards and other bloody skeletons.

Lil gasps at the fire, but she knows she needs to get to the other side to help her allies. Cowbell plows through the fog until they reach the far side, then Lil quickly drops a haste spell on Vlad, Kharn, Cowbell, and herself.

I was much more of a dick with the shades spell. I had one of them use it to cast trap the soul, although admittedly I did target the person with the highest will save.

Yeah I always love this topic. Sleeping in any armor is uncomfortable, endurance feat or undead template be damned. Plus it will start to smell.

Woody is guarding the front entrance, the mintoaur is guarding Lil, and the rest are on the perimeter of the horn. Their perception checks are pretty awful though.

I don't care about what you can afford. Everybody make a wishlist for what they want should they have infinite money. You guys can 100% leave me to being the merchant and managing money and time; just tell me what you want. Frankly, I wouldn't mind giving some of my wealth to make Vlad more items. He scales off of magic items more than I do.

Correct, a 17 will hit Lil, as I did not cast mage armor. I made the decision that I would probably take a hit and survive, thinking the real DPS of the enemy team is otherwise occupied, and I doubted the cleric would one shot me. Oh well, no high level spells for her!

Lil sucks in some air at the wound, but grins through it. She had suffered far worse before, usually at her own hand. In fact, she would show the silly cleric. Yes, that would show her! With a sick grin Lil flies back five feet, then slits her own wrist with her dagger. Giggling madly, she points at Hallock and a black ray springs from her hand!

Blood Infusion Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Casting ray of exhaustion at Hallock. DC 23 fort save or be exhausted.

It's really interesting playing a "save or suck" caster. Even with my jacked up DCs, it's basically "Well I hope they fail their save lol".

But on the other hand, if a cleric takes a -6 to wisdom they're basically going to be a very very bad fighter. With channeling.

Oh I know! The cleric in my homebrew game had that feat and my first reaction was "Wow that is overpowered!" They were unhappy about it being nerfed, but I wasn't. Good errata.

Ok, only inside the Horn. That's what I thought.

Oh I thought that Vetra-Kali Eats-the-Eyes counted as a aligned higher power. I suppose since Thorn mentioned the daemon was powerful but possibly within our abilities that means it's not at epic status.

I'm thinking about having alternate stat sheets for most of my undead within the horn when they're effected by the desecrate. Obviously Woody would never benefit from it since he can't fit inside, but everything else can at one time or another.

Just wanting to clarify something before I make any changes.

1) The entire Horn is desecrated, correct? Does that extend outside the horn at all?

2) Does the Horn count as an altar, shrine, or other permanent fixture dedicated to a aligned higher power? I would imagine it does, but I want to double check first.

Woody wastes no time. With terrifying speed from the haste spell, he charges and attacks James O'Toole!

Damage: 2d6 + 13 ⇒ (5, 2) + 13 = 20
