Great question. Lig'tu got as far as 'kidnap the guy and shake him down for information.'

Intelligence: 1d20 ⇒ 5 Looks like a good success

"Did he show you a badge?"

Also, what skill is used to see if someone is lying?

Once he has the person in the car, Lig'Tu will motion for Rrin to drive. Turning back to the man, Lig'Tu will set him down and say "Tell us everything you know about the person who hired you. Everything. If you do, we'll slow down the truck when we let you out. If not..."

Lig'Tu just wants to move him back to the transport.

"Do as I say and you won't get hurt. Don't, and you will. Get it?"

Lig'Tu offered his threat of violence rather nonchalantly, as if discussing the weather.

Unarmed Melee: 1d20 + 1d4 ⇒ (6) + (1) = 7 That looks like a good success.

Most people underestimate Lig'Tu. They see his size and miss the fact that in his heyday as a fighter, he could cross the ring in three steps. As the man turns slightly to grab the sack, Lig'Tu is there, grabbing him in a bear hug before he can react.

"Struggle and I snap your spine" he says to the man.

Lig'Tu will continue to approach, then stop about 10' away. He will pull out a sack and then toss it, intentionally throwing too high. As soon as the man either extends to reach it or turns to get it, Lig'Tu pounces.

Not sure what I'll be rolling here. Just let me know.

"Yes, we have it." Lig'Tu gets out of the car and starts walking over towards the human.

The problem as I see it is that we don't have enough information to make that kind of play: we're going to be followed either way, so this way we can maybe learn something about the whole shebang. Besides, I'm assuming that stealing a starship is a pretty big deal. Probably not something we should take on lightly.

My plan is to go and snatch the person who is meeting us and then get them to give us information. I'd like to have the girl, Alita, and Rrin in the getaway vehicle, and since I'm assuming that Choraak can be sneaky if he needs to, I'd like to have him engage the killers/attack force likely waiting for us (I know that they're there because of every movie ever.) So we basically need to get a van or truck and then get everyone in position. Anyone have a different idea or plan or whatnot?

"Only if things go horribly wrong. If everything goes to plan, we're just going to take someone against their will and then question them hard."

"Sorry, I meant to say that we are going to show up, take the person who meets us, and question them about the girl, the necklace, and how this all came to pass."

"Young one, you can help by being an extra set of eyes. We will likely need to make sure that no one messes with our car, and you can help with that."

At Chroaak's comment, Lig'Tu will say "I'd prefer not to be arrested, all the same. Still, I like where your head is at. Once I grab the person meeting us, I will run to the vehicle and jump in. That reminds me, we should probably do something so that we can all talk to each other."

"If the worst comes to pass and I get killed or captured. Leave and don't look back. Get the girl someplace safe."

"So we should have a plan before we go, but first, this."

Lig'Tu takes the hologram recording and breaks it then deposits it in the sink and turns the water on over it.

"In case they were listening. Here is what we need. Ryn, I believe that we will need to make sure they aren't recording us. It wouldn't hurt if you could also deal with any eletronics or computer-related stuff. Choraak, can you take out people quietly? If so, we'll need to stop the kill team that will be waiting for us once we turn over the girl. Rrin, we'll need an escape plan, and a vehicle to transport our group plus the girl. As for me, I'm going to grab whoever meets us take them with us. They obviously won't be the person in charge, but they can tell us the person they talk to."

"Whatever we do, we should do so together. I guess the next question should be: Are any of you trained to fight?"

"I do not like tiny cowards who hide behind light pictures. I think I would like to see what his spleen looks like."

Lig'Tu smirks, closes the door with a slam for effect, and then returns to the group.

"Some sort of message." he says while holding it out to the group.

Group-Lincoln:

Lig'Tu stalks to the door and slams it open. "What in the name of my ancestors do you want?"

I'm still here.

"So what was learned at the locked place?"

I had thought they were going to rejoin us and then we would go from there. As far as I can see, they haven't returned yet.

"We should probably find a different place to lair."

"We should leave."

"Are you done mining in there.?" asks Lig'Tu from the hallway.

"I don't know anything about the mines that you pull data from, or the ends of which you speak, but I will go outside and make sure no one disturbs you while you get your picks out."

Lig'Tu will go outside and stand guard on the room.

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 10 8/4/2

Lig'Tu Shrugs, steps forward, and then tries to force the door open.

Power Martial Arts: 1d20 + 1d8 ⇒ (1) + (4) = 5

"You need to lift more weights Moon Man."

"Why doesn't someone just bribe the front desk clerk?"

"Then perhaps we should go see what we can see."

"About what you'd expect." Lig'Tu gives a knowing glance towards the girl.

"We already did."

"You don't smell like trouble. It should be fine. I've never met anyone who hunts moons before."

what does Choraak smell like?

"I agree. We shouldn't stand around gawking like spectators."

"Do her travel paper's have her birther's information?"

Probably a medic, by Lig'Tu knows that the secret to not needing a medic: don't get hit.

Other than that, we don't really have a captain (kirk/solo/reynolds/glovell/okita/tylor) for when we get our own ship.

"Well, that was not surprising to anyone who watches human entertainment. Especially the law enforcement entertainment. What should we do now?"

"If you have a picture of him, we should go find out either way."

"Well, I guess we're in the clear. Now we should try to find the girl's father. Any luck on the fartalker?"

"That's probably not good, right?" says Lig'Tu jokingly to lighten the mood.

"We should probably move up against the wall and get out of these marines' way. Might give someone a place to hide, too."

Lig'Tu will then move up against the wall and place his back vertical to the wall, while moving his legs at an angle, allowing for a space that a, say, small human could hide in.

"Cub, you should tell us of your birthers. What are their occupations? What are their skin patterns?"

As Rrin jumps on the man and the effectively pins him, Lig'Tu just starts laughing. At first it's a chuckle or two, but soon he is roaring with laughter...about half of it is real, too.

"Honesty is honor, after a fashion." Says Lig'Tu, who then stops smiling and says "You're tiny peashooter won't save you either."

Perception to examine the id (I think this is how this works, but bear with me): 1d20 + 1d8 ⇒ (19) + (7) = 26

"I don't mean to be almost irresistible to women, but we are what we are. you smell like a liar, pretty words on paper or no, and the cub smells of fear. Weren cubs know their birthers and I would expect that humans are no different."

Leaning down close to the man to speak quietly, Lig'Tu will add

Speaking Quietly:

"Think really hard about your next words, as if they were your last. Are you really this cub's birther, or do you have another motive here? Do I have to pull off one of your legs to get the truth, or will you find your honor instead?"

Lig'Tu chuckles and say "I sometimes forget how poor your small things senses are. Let me ask you this: are you sure about your right arm being attached to your body? because that is what you just asked me."

Lig'Tu will turn to the man and say "We should be able to clear this up just fine. We can just have the girl contact her birther and then she can tell us who you are. I am sure there is a fartalker here that would allow us to do so."

"Cub, do you have your shuttle papers?"

If the man tries to approach the girl, Lig'Tu will simply growl at him.

"Very well, then. What say you cub-thief? Why do you smell wrong?" Lig'Tu will begin stretching his arms while he waits for the man's reply.

Turning towards Rrin, Lig'Tu will ask "I don't really know how humans live, but is stealing someone else's cub wrong in human society?"

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 15

"Happy tidings on finding your cub. Why was she travelling without a guardian?"

"What is your problem, human child?" says Lig'Tu as he gives her his best "Nice Person" smile. See my avatar pic for what it looks like =D
