Lia barely manages to get out of the way of the now stampeding cattle. She starts trying to herd the cows into some semblance of order as well...

Lia keeps her eyes on the road.
Lia is her usual quiet & pensive self walking back, spending more time staring at her reflection in her scimitar than keeping an eye out on the road. She does give the cows a couple of pats as they move. Strange, but rather adorable creatures, in a way. Akbar knows there weren't any in the Sultanate that I saw...
Lia gives Buttercup a deadpan look and an equally deadpan "Moo."
Lia shakes her head.
Lia's glare falls on the other gnoll, subtly calling on fate itself to weigh its weapon down.
Lia almost casually walks up to the entrance to the room and glares at the biggest-looking gnoll in the room. Such was the way of properly channeling her doubt-sewing hex.

Lia winces and prepares for the worst...
Lia sighs and draws her scimitar in anticipation of violence. "...let's make this quick, if we can."

"Huh. Couple of flint knives here. They've got feathers and blood on them--I think they were used to butcher this cow."

Lia winces and turns away from the gory sight. "Oh, dear..."
Lia doesn't say much as Baldwin & Briena lead the party onwards, instead keeping her head on a swivel. Bitterleaf's remark about the cows causes her to nod in agreement. "Part of me is wondering how many of them the kobolds have eaten by now..."
Lia taps her scimitar against her leg. "So, shall we follow them?"
Lia clears her throat and steps up next to Baldwin. "Not to interrupt, but if you don't get back to work, that means the bandits have won. They're trying to send a message that they're untouchable, and if you don't stand up and keep going, they'll just keep on making everyone's day miserable."
Lia watches Sinch try to pet the dog with some amusement. "Yes--we'll make sure those cow thieves don't bother anyone else again."
Lia hops out of the cart and glances over at the druidess riding with her. "Do you think you can help him?"
Lia climbs into the cart with some effort. "Thank you."
Lia smooths some wrinkles out of her blouse. "So, how soon can we depart, folks?"
"It's settled, then?" Lia straightens herself up. "Let's see if there's some horses or a cart available for us to rent..."
"Lia Nightbreeze. Formerly of Zeif." Lia offers a quick bow.
Lia rolls her eyes at the guard's taunt. If only you had taken an arrow in the throat as well. Then you might be somewhat tolerable. Lia carefully pockets the elven missive.
She doesn't really take any notice of Bitterleaf's potential worry.
Lia takes a closer look at the Elven notice. "Huh... something's happening at a farm, it looks like. Livestock's being stolen."

Lia looks up from her meal of rice and steak as the others crowd around the message board. The motley crew she's found herself a part of is quite lively today. As entertaining as they were, she couldn't help but wonder how long their partnership would last. I mean, anything could happen... but until the end, I'm not going to just abandon them. I'm not my father. She promptly finishes off her meal and steps over to the message board. "What're you looking at?" She tries to get a peek at the slips of paper they're crowding around. Maybe it's something that'll lead me closer to him... |
