Leo looks over when everyone is assembled and says Ok people here's the deal. What I'm about to say is going to sound crazy as f~!+ but is the truth. There seems to be some sort of...sickness or attack going on that is causing people to exhibit symptoms similar to those that we have seen in movies with zombies. We were attacked by several on the road. He waits a second to let people process before continuing. I understand this sounds insane...I'd have a hard time believing if I hadn't seen it myself. That said, I don't know any more than I just told you. We have two options...stay here and fortify and try to last for a while...or try and get out of town now. If anyone else has any ideas I'm all ears. He'll stop at this point and see what everyone's reaction is.

Leo takes a breath when they get back before getting out of the car. Holy s@&*! Holy f#$+ing s%&%! Ok Patrick...get everyone together. We've got some serious s%$@ to talk about. First thing, draw the shades on all the windows and lock and bolt all the doors and I mean right now! Turn all of the lights you can except the ones we absolutely need. We need to make this house look as boring and uninhabited as possible for the time being while we figure out what to do.
Looking over at John he says Don't unpack until we know what we're going to do.
With that he begins to turn off lights and draw curtains and lock doors. Once done he'll go back to the garage and request that everyone meet there.

Leo jumps out of the car and pulls the axe that he took from Picky Picky Picky, not wanting to shoot and let everyone in half a mile know something is going down. John, take care of the business suit guy and help him. Thomas, put the car in neutral and we'll get it back to Patricks garage. Nodin, help John.
With that, Leo looks around before jumping out and beginning to push the truck from the passenger side door.

Patrick! Thank f$!#ing god you guys are still ok! We're on our way back. I know what's going on but....just keep locked up tight. S%*~'s real bad. I'll try explain when we get back. If there is anyone there that needs to leave to try and get to family or such, they need to do it now or they may not get to at all. I don't recommend anyone leaving but you need to give them the option. We're just down the street now. We'll be there in a minute or so. Do me a favor and clear out the garage so we can pull the truck all the way in if you can. We have a lot of stuff to go through and I don't want it sitting outside.
With that, Leo says Ok Thomas lets head back, if Patrick can, he's going to open the garage for you to pull the truck in so we can see what we want to do behind closed doors. I'd rather as few people as possible know we have supplies.

Cop car's still here. I guess they still haven't found the missing officer. There was a second officer that went looking I heard. I hope they're alright. He looks at the others and says This is just insane...what the f@!% is going on? Zombies should be impossible...the human body can't take that kind of stress without shutting down. This is just f!!@ing nuts.
Leo pulls his phone and calls Patrick once John suggests it.

Before John starts smashing the glass, Leo says Hold on a sec. We don't want to leave damage if we don't have to. With that he gets down and pulls out a couple of small pieces of wire and goes to work on the lock.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
Opening the lock without issue, he opens the door and gestures for the others to enter, giving John an insolent smile as he does so, gently teasing his friend in his lack of subtlety.
Once inside, he follows John's lead and begins grabbing non-perishables.

Leo screams out Oh my god! What the f#~@ is that thing!? His eyes the size of dinner plates he yells out Thomas! Cut the wheel and shake this f&!!er off! Not wanting to shoot his shotgun in the car and blow everyone's eardrums, he nevertheless keeps the gun aimed at the deranged guy in the truck bed.

Leo listens to the back and forth but when John asks what to do next says Food and water is what we do next. As much as we can stuff into the truck. After that we head back to Patricks and figure it out from there. His house is pretty exposed and not exactly sturdy at this point but we don't have enough information right now to really do too much. Speaking of which. Leo then turns his police scanner app back on and listens in.

Leo begins loading the rest of the gear, whatever they can carry and heads out the door to the car, shotgun held underneath his new ripstop military coat.
Once back to the car and hearing Thomas, Leo says It is better to make those sorts of contacts now in case they might be needed later Thomas. There is no harm in it now as both sides left in peace which is what we wanted. We got our gear and now know about another group...that alone is worth the small risk of him having John's cell number. Let's finish this conversation later however. We have another store to hit correct?

Sorry for the delay. Stupid bronchitis and low grade pneumonia = no fun for Leo.
Leo moves over to the glass cases and quickly checks for any sign of alarms on them. If he does not see any he takes his multitool and slams it into the glass case. Assuming he manages to get through, he grabs one of the shotguns and begins loading shells before putting the rest of the box in his pocket. Once that's done he moves to the knives and sheathes and selects a long slender double edged blade. He then moves over to the display of military axes and slides the handle of one through his belt.
Found an image of the inside of the place. You can see the multitude of weapons.
Leo then grabs a military pack and begins stuffing it with batteries, solar cells, survival kits, handcrank survival radios and such. He also grabs a pair of walkie talkies with the longest range he can find. In addition he is going to grab a few sets of whatever high density clothing he can find, ripstop fatigues, etc. Leo will also look for as many water purification tabs as he can find.

Smiling Leo pulls out his phone and then turns the volume up all the way before pulling up his police scanner app. Looking at the others he puts his finger to his lips as if to say be quiet. Let's see how skittish they are. he muses, before turning the local police band on. He lets it play for a moment before turning it down and saying loudly in an official voice. Copy central. Just checking out a report of a disturbance at Picky and then we'll be moving back that way. Looking over at Thomas and John he makes a motion for them to play along.

Leo nods in agreement with Nodin and John We need to go man. If trouble is that close we need to go now...there's no time. Looking at the group he says We need to have a plan going in. John, you know how to make food last so you hit that wherever we go. Get MREs, non-perishables, and the like. Nodin, since you have the gun, you ok keeping watch on the truck? If so then Thomas you go for the weapons, don't just go for guns though, look for weapons that are reusable, bows, slingshots, and blades. If you do get guns, make sure to get as much ammunition as possible. I'm going for survival stuff, solar cells, flashlights, batteries, crank powered items and stuff like that. Is that good with everyone?

Leo nods and says How about this? Weapons stay in the car when we go but within easy reach should they be needed or easily concealed. Either way the longer we talk, the more likely things could spiral out of control worse. Whatever we do, we need to do soon. I'm for heading out right now. Let's hit this asian market and the surplus and see where we are from there. With that Leo heads over to the door and looks out before stepping outside.

Leo nods at John and Thomas and says Good to see you back. Patrick should really be the one to say something, this is his party after all. That said, I'm good to go for a run for supplies. I suggest we do a two pronged attack. One car goes to the 24 hour grocery store and the other hits the asian market and any other shops along that strip that are open. How does that sound?

When Nodin asks about weapons Leo begins listing off the things he found in the garage and kitchen from memory. There are various tools in the garage that would make good weapons, such as shovels, axes, a mattock, a couple of pile drivers and some hedge clippers along with a weight set that could be used as weapons. In addition there are various knives in the kitchen that could be utilized as well.
Looking at Patrick he says Patrick, you might want to announce to the party what is going on...allow those that wish to leave to do so...otherwise they might be stuck here depending upon how bad this gets. I don't really have anywhere to go besides my hotel and I'd rather not deal with that right now so if it's good with you I'll stay here. I imagine John might feel the same way.
When Leo hears about all off duty officers being required to report in he says That's really serious guys. They usually only do that if there is a large riot in the hundreds of people or in the event of a terrorist attack or something like that. Alyssa? Is that right or am I talking out of my ass? A strained smile spreads across his face before returning serious. There seems to be some sort of coordinated blackout going on as well. People have been trying to upload images to the web about what is going on and have been actively blocked it seems like.

I pull out my phone and start scrolling through news sites and messageboards looking for what's going on. If it's this big there will be news cameras there. At the same time, I open my police scanner app and jump on the local feed to listen in.

I grab the flashlight, just so it is easy at hand and make a mental note of the rest of the stuff. All potentially useful in an emergency...I'm sure it won't come to that however.

Seeing how if the lights went out once they might again, Leo begins to do a quick mental inventory of the contents of the kitchen and garage, mostly looking for things that will be handy in the event of an emergency or the like. Basically the boy scout in me is coming out.

As the conversation steers towards the narcotics and such Leo just nods at John's assessment. No stranger to narcotics and the like from his college days a few years ago, Leo can fully understand the strange behavior. Looking over at Patrick, Leo says Hey Patrick! You heard from Thomas yet?

Turning around Leo jogs back to the party and places the umbrella by the door as he goes in with Thomas chatting on his cell.
Looking around the room he moves over to Patrick and spots the newcomer there. Leo says to Patrick Couldn't get close enough to see much and the storms getting worse so we figured we'd come back.
Smiling at the bald guy he says Hey man, I'm Leo. Nice to meet you. Looks like you got here in the nick of time, it's really opening up out there.

Leo listens and hears the sound of sirens, being from the east coast and mostly a city boy, the sirens don't worry him at all. He's pretty used to it. Looking back down at his cards he says Anyone know where the bathroom is?
When directed, he goes to take care of business, looking around at the bathroom in the meantime and looking out the bathroom window at the flashing lights in the distance.

Leo shakes his head No sorry man. Quit a few years ago. I'd prefer to die from something more fun than lung cancer...you know like skydiving, or getting gored by a minotaur or something like that.
