Cecily nods sagely at Sir Tandyn's proclamation about unbecoming conduct, and her eyes go wide in surprise as he calls out to them anyway. She suppresses a smile, not particularly displeased to now be forced into meddling. She immediately starts walking toward the tent, considering Tandyn's shouting to be fair warning. "Yes dears, we have defeated the ghosts and could use the help. I do hope that you are all well?"

Cecily visibly struggles between her desire to hear all the hot tea and knowing that her friends and fellow soldiers deserved their privacy in personal matters. Decorum wins out. "Let us, then, leave them to their matters. We can inquire upon our return."

I'm all for heading back and starting with side rooms in the Forge.

Cecily nods along. "Very well then. I am sure that Aroden and Dorek and Ahmose have a greater understanding of the layout of this laboranthine dungeon than I; I trust your judgement in such matters."

Reposting from the discord for continuity, her Incorporeal Touch AC right now should be 25, and she has improved uncanny dodge so likely is not flanked, so I don't believe she gets hit.

Cecily dashes down the hallway, trusting Aroden that her magical protections will keep the ghosts from harming her too much, but not trusting so much that she doesn't try to twist past any possible attacks on her way in, as if the specter were still alive. Once in position, she lashes out at the ghost with her magical claws.

Cecily judges that she and Tandyn likely have this in-hand and the ice on her claws swiftly sublimates, the vapor passing along with Thawm's cloud. She presses the attack on the Yellow one. As she attacks, she steps over to flank Orange with Tandyn.

Cecily skirts around the edge and readies to try to grab any salamander that passes by her. She loudly says, "Where are they? Do you think they know we're down here yet?"

"I can't help but feel that we are being being lowered into a pot of boiling oil. By the grace of Iomedae, let us not die as beignets."

Cecily squeezes into the elevator just before the door closes. "Wait for me," she demands.

Cecily stares at the billowing cloud and pouts. "Did I freeze them? Did anyone see?"

Cecily strides quickly to the otherlook, squeezing around the platform to get to the edge of the platform to look down upon the firey snake men below. "Good morning, gentlemen. I think you need to chill out."

She breathes draconic ice on them.

Cecily steels herself against the feelings threatening to regurgigate themselves of an endless morning banquet with the whole extended Levain house, including Edwina and Neville and (eugh) Higgby.

"My apologies, Baroness. The flavors come from my memories which certainly aren't as impressive as yours. Perhaps there's a way around it. It's food for thought."

"Nothing to be sorry about, Sir Tandyn. I'll have Cens-Lupin make another when you come to visit."

Cecily finishes munching on her jerky with mild disappointment. "You were correct, Sir Tandyn, this is nothing like what I had. But thank you for trying. They must have been very different sorts of apple."

"And if all that doesn't work, my offer remains to snap it in half. I'm talking to you, Soulshear, I will snap you in half."

"No need for such talk, my dear friend." She looks at Thawm's chin again, opens her mouth to say something, but reconsiders for another moment. "I'm sorry, Thawm. That was unbecoming of Iomedae's faith in me. You're right. Would you like some coffee? Sir Tandyn? Ahmose, a refill?"

"That sounds quite unpleasant Ahmose, especially in this weather."

She smiles primly at Thawm's tirade, peers closely at Thawm's face, and with exagerrated lack of subtlety, Cecily mimes wiping from the corner of her mouth to her chin to Thawm a few times, prompting her.

"Good morning, Sir Tandyn. All quiet, even Thawm's snoring. I have not yet eaten. I was considering dining with Lord Horgus again, but I...could stay. Could you make mine...hmm. I was quite partial to a rather exotic dish that Cens-Lupin made for me once years ago when nothing else was quite tasting good. It sounded like something of an apple tart from how he described it, although it looked and tasted like no apple tart that I've had before or since. It was a thin spread of fillings in a...he called it a love apple sauce, a bit sweet, a bit acidic, but herbaceous and savory, strangely, in a bready crust on the bottom and a crust of cheese atop. The fillings were a strange but delicious blend of candied gammon, a sprinkling of cinnamon, slivered nuts, and another sort of yellow apple I had not heard of and cannot recall, but that we had imported at great expense. I...may have accidentally knocked it over before a party. Well, because nothing was tasting good. My father was so cross that he docked Lushya's pay for a week. Albertin didn't want to let me in the kitchen for a year, but daddy of course talked him out of that. Cens-Lupin didn't want it to go to waste though, so he baked the tart for me, and we shared it out on the promenade after the party. Anyway it was quite strange but rather delicious, so...that, please."

Cecily comes to relieve Tandyn and Dorek already well-prepared for the day. She pours herself some of the dregs of the tea. "Bitter." She makes a face. "But...the flavors are somewhat nice below that. Do run along, I'll handle things here while Thawm 'meditates.' Do you think she thinks we don't think she's not slee-Oh good morning Thawm!"

"Ice demons!" Cecily hisses. "Do you think my new ice breath will work on them? I just practiced it outside the walls. It works! I can breath ice like Terendelev! I would prefer to have my rest all in one go, so I will take the early watch."

Cecily seeks out Thawm to try to get her boot mended. She disappears from camp for a bit, and next she's seen she has an incredibly smug grin. Reports filter in shortly after that a swatch of dead trees outside camp were seen coated in a thick shell of ice that takes a while to melt back off.

Cecily continues her deep thinking. "Ghosts. When you explained my armor wand, that should protect me from ghosts, yes? What about my shield? That is similar magic. Perhaps we should rest."

Cecily furrows her brow for a few moments, thinking deeply.

With grave import she intones, "I did not realize that they speak."

Cecily hides an amused smile behind her hand, mercifully giving Nurah a chance to try to keep her dignity. "Well, where might we meet this seneschal? Would she still be about up here, or further down? I am quite prepared to continue our work today, for the time being at least."

Cecily looks down her nose at Dorek. "Dorek, do not confuse elaborate party dress with high quality functional clothing. Solid hunting leathers can be durable AND fashionable. Why do you think I switched from the silk gloves I was ruining to these?" She holds up a fist swathed in long leather gloves with open fingertips and cold iron studs along the back of the hand and fingers. "THESE have lasted and I expect them to continue to do so. And I brought several boots. This hole from the skeleton demon will be simple work for a cobbler, if Thawm is not able to magic it back together. It is still a functional boot."

She wiggles her toe again and frowns slightly.

Cecily side-eyes Ahmose and Tandyn's new armor. "All the more reason to be appropriately and fashionably dressed underneath the armor, Sir Tandyn."

Cecily can't make the sense motive roll.

"Nurah, your experience proves as much as any that a person's motivations in fighting for the crusade DO matter. But your actions matter more"

"Well if this spy crosses us, we'll take her down too!"

"It is rather well appointed. Surprisingly so. Shame we will need to burn the appointments."

Cecily wishes Jorah and Irabeth a safe transport, then crosses her arms and narrows her gaze at the evil glaive. "Hand it to me and I'll snap it in half. That will do it, yes?"

"Are you well enough, Baroness?"

As the last of Thawm's healing fire recedes, Cecily smiles and puffs out a blast of frigid breath. "Quite well. It seems that my connection with Terendelev's spirit grows as well."

Cecily does cooldown stretches while Thawm throws fire at her. At one point she coughs up blood, but a tinkling when it hits the ground draws her attention - the droplets are frozen solid. She turns away and makes a few subtle throat noises, and when she turns back she's grinning.

"I am glad we stopped him. Tandyn, Irabeth, are you well enough to continue? You survived savage blows."

Now that she's had proper warning, Cecily twists out of the conflagration with nary a singed hair.

Cecily, impossibly quick, attempts to dart around in close with the blue minotaur and use its large axe as cover from its companion as she gives chase to the enormous wasp.

Assuming she makes it through the AoOs..., AC 25 and 93/93 hp

She runs down the wasp and leaps at it, letting her fury drive her, trying to drive the beast to the ground in a tangle of limbs and claws and chiton.

As Cecily's brave companions fall and Aroden performs a heroic and much-need rescue, Cecily takes up position to keep them save. As much as she wanted to tear into the demons and their traitor leader, now was not yet the time. She drew on a small amount of Terendelev's power to add a frosty edge to her claw, but she drew more on Terendelev's training, patience, and wisdom, focusing her mind on defending the gap until her companions were in better shape and Cecily herself could focus on attack rather than picking over rubble. She steps into the ball of fire in the doorway and uses her lengthened arms and towering position over Staunton to try to bring a heavy clawed hammerblow down on to his sternum.

The cloying evil miasma washes off Cecily, having minimal effect. She waves off Aroden's request, "I'll be more use up here."

She growls a few arcane words in draconic, and her arms grow in length and bulk, becoming sheathed in gleaming silver scales. She slips silently into her serpentine stance, slinking to support the struggling saviors of Kenabres.

Cecily flips through the smoldering papers and begins to collect them when the group seems more interested in arguing over whether to tie up Jorah or not, and some thoughts begin to clack together in her brain. She stares at the papers a bit harder and a few of the thoughts even throw sparks!

"Dorek, perhaps...think of it this way. Those goat demons set fire to these papers instead of us, because these papers are important. And what's on these," she taps her finger down lightly on the papers as she stuffs them into her pack, "is probably also in there." Her tail slips out and points toward Jorah.

"So the demons will not likely let us take him with us easily. You don't want to make the demons' job easier, do you?"

Cecily nods in agreement at Aroden's speech, tries not to look at Nurah, looks slightly guilty, steels her resolve, and ultimately offers a stern but hopefully reassuring look at Jorah. "Aye. We're not in the practice of feeding our charges to local monsters."

She heads back toward the pile of papers and waves the smoke away to try to get a better look at them.

The dark wispy fire barely manages to get past the intense cold radiating off of Cecily as she rolls off the pile of smoking documents and on to her feet. She advances on Jorah. "The demons did. They always do. There's no loyalty in that system. No one you can rely on to watch your back or hold your best interests to heart."

"Ah! Another demon attack?!" Cecily blinks away the glare while rolling ineffectually over the pile of papers.

The paperwork was burning! "The papers!" Paperwork was important! Father employed Manie in part just to take care of paperwork! Cecily stashed the remainder of her crumbly baked snack and headed forth into the room to try to save the paperwork. She may not command blasts of healing fire or torrents of water, but she could get very cold and she was protected from the fire itself. Tapping into her draconic power, Cecily conjures a thin layer of rime around herself and dives on to the worst of the blaze in an attempt to smother the flames and save the documents.

With any appropriate modifiers from spending 1 ki point for Elemental Fury (cold) and going prone over the documents

"Did the rest of you not get muffins?" Cecily softly inquires, before recalling that no one else in the group tends to dine with Horgus as she occasionally does.

Cecily offers a glum nod. "Okay. Let's go then."

Cecily looks down and sees her toe wiggling through a hole in the boot. "It melted a hole in it. Is that...a piece?"

She holds her foot out for both examination, and healing.

Cecily is down 8, if she can get a top-off.

"I don't think these are as strong as the one we fought in Kenabres," Cecily states while wiping her hands off and craning to examine her acid-damaged boot. She pouts. "Is this repairable? Sir Tandyn, will your cleaning spell fix it?"

Cecily dashes in to confront the Door Minotaur, attempting to vault past its weapon and lightly patting Sir Tandyn on the shoulder as she sails through the air. "That's a fine attack name, Sir Tandyn!"

Cecily starts to see red thinking about the state of her boots, but she tries what Terendelev told her to do when she scuffed her boots during training - and those weren't even as nice as the ones she's wearing now - and tells herself They're just boots. I have many boots. I can get more boots. It will buff out. She glances at her foot. Is that my toe sticking out through the leather?! Is there even a cobbler within 50 miles, much less a cordwainer!? Thankfully, her spiraling is interrupted by Dorek's inquiry. "Uhm, yes Dorek, it's a kick I learned at the temple. Very good though, I...like your pronouncement. Perhaps we can work on it a bit more. Shining blade, perhaps?"

She steps over, confident that Dorek's shining metal bladed object can finish off the demon between them, even if it was the one that maliciously ruined her boot. Wary of ruining her them even further, she lays into the next slimy menace with her cloth-wrapped fists with lightning-fast speed!
