You have a restful night sleep in one of the Blue Salamander's rooms. You wake well rested, you grab a hot breakfast of coffee, eggs, bacon and a buys hit for 1 gold piece and 8 silver piece.

You head out to the weaponsmith's shop, and your see Mr. Hammerstone working on the dagger you did some light work on.

Aye boy, LeeVan was it? Get over here and finish the blade you worked on yesterday. Then, once your finished with that, start working on a warhanner for a client o' mine. A plain an' simple warhanner, got it? Now don't dilly-dally and get to work.

dagger is DC 12, warhammer is DC 15

Aye Mr. Hammerstone! I'll get right on it! he shouts out before getting to work.

Dagger: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Warhammer: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Seems like this town is pretty interesting. He shouts to Mr. Hammerstone while working on the new weapons. Do you get much trouble around the here?

Thank you! he says to the couple before he heads on his way. Once he was sure no one was watching, LeeVan pulls out his coin pouch to count the reserves of his travel fund. It's a bit pricey, but a clean room and a warm bed sounds really nice after my trip. he says to himself. One night at the Blue Salamander couldn't hurt the travel fund too much. I guess that settles it then! With a smile, he puts away his pouch and walks down the street towards the inn.

A few minutes later, he finds himself inside the Blue Salamander witnessing what appeared to be a town official addressing another patron. I thought that couple said this was the quieter inn... he thought. He stood still at the door watching the scene proceed, trying to avoid notice.

Nevaal continues to wander around town and the light sun is starting to fade. [b]If I don't find an inn soon, I'll have to sleep out in the street. Guess it wouldn't be bad to ask the locals."

He continues to wander the streets and asks those he passes for directions to where he might be able to stay the night.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Thank you Mr. Hammer! LeeVan says as he catches the small pouch in his hands. He cleans up his workstation and brushes some of the soot away with a broom before he leaves. I'm all done cleaning up here, Mr. Hammerstone! he shouts out as he picks up his things to leave, I'll be back again in the morning, bright and early!

With his bag in tow, LeeVan starts wandering the town again looking for a place to stay in while he is in town.

Well, Mr. Hammer, I have to admit that I am not very good with armor. The skill to craft well fitting protective wear still eludes me, but I will give it my all. LeeVan picks up the tools and heads over to the workbench with the unfinished armor. He examines it a bit then begins to work the material carefully.

Craft (Armor): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 Hot damn!

Makes sense to me

"I'll get right on it! LeeVan says with a smile. He puts his things down and out of the way and quickly finds the appropriate hammers. Taking a longsword from Mr. Hammerstone, he gets to work on his project. "My name is LeeVan by the way, friends just call me Lee. May I have your name sir?" He asks just before getting to work.

Just realized that my character never really introduced himself to his new boss.

Craft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 Success
Craft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 Failure By 1?!
Craft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 Success
Craft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 Failure Do I need to roll again because this failed by more than 5?
Craft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Success Nat 20!

Oh! Well then, I have much more than I thought. :)

LeeVan grips the dwarf's hand in a firm shake. "I can start right now if you'll have me. I used to help my pa out with his forge back home, and I've gotten pretty handy at making a few simple weapons on my own."

Lee politely declines the jewelry vendor and the fortune teller and goes on his way. A smile spreads across his face after discovering Gravelstone Arms. As he walks through the smithy in search of the owner, he looks all around him to see the craftsmanship of this place.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

"Hello?" he calls out. "Is the owner available? I'm looking for work."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Not sure if the diplomacy check was necessary yet, but I figured I could roll it in passing.

It was his first day in the city of Jasper. The sounds and smells of the small city awakening to the new dawn filled his senses. As much as he would love to experience the new sights of this city, Lee knew that he needed to find a smithy to work at. This was his fresh start, the next step in his new life.

Seeking the smithies: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Here is my Smith character. Focusing on crafting more than anything. I will work on the background a bit more but that is the rough idea.
