Tough-looking male halfling with an impressive moustache

"THE BIG ONE IS MINE!! NO PLACE TO HIDE NOW YOU BIG HAIRY GIT!!"

The mustache battleaxe and attached pint-sized brute surge forward straight at Einarr.

battleaxe v Einarr (bane): 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 5 - 1 = 14 damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

The clash of axes is thunderous.

Will save: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 - 2 = 15

"RRAAWW!! WITCH!!" the halfling's face grows purple with rage.

Tough-looking male halfling with an impressive moustache

"Git away! I'll kill him for you!" shouts a squat halfling nearly as wide as he is tall with the most luxurious moustache this side of a the Five Kings Mountains. He grips his battleaxe in two hands and swings!

"RRAAWW!!"

greataxe v Larkin (bane): 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 1 = 10 damage: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

The blow takes bricks out of the corner of the building next to Tathane.

"WHAT!" sputters the halfling in incomprehension.

With a cold, hard gaze and a few quick gestures, Lars cast a spell at the axe wielding lunatic

But Keandre uses a morningstar. ;)

Ledford will save (Rage!!, halfling bonus v fear): 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 2 = 13

number of rounds frightened: 1d4 ⇒ 4

"IT'S THE GHOST O' THE LOCH COME TA TAKE ME SOUL!!!" Ledford screams, turns and runs!

AoO if you want it. ;)

Lars tries to rush past the mustachioed halfling, but the short brute seems ready for the attempt, and takes a swing at the skald, but the Ulfen is too quick for his short foe.

This forces Lars back to the last legal space he was in. Lars still has his standard action to as he couldn't legally make the attack. It could be used to try again. Moving though a foe's space is an acrobatics check vs the enemy's CMD + 5. If you move at more than half speed when attempting the check the DC increases by 10 more.

20% miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 22 greataxe v Lars (AoO, RAGE!!, power attack): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 damage: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Not content, Ledford lets the axe's swing spin him 360 degrees and little closer to Keandre, knocking the dwarf senseless to the ground.

20% miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 66 greataxe v Keandre (RAGE!!, power attack): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 damage: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Uh oh... THREAT
greataxe v Keandre (confirm?): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 damage: 2d10 + 12 ⇒ (2, 4) + 12 = 18

"Out of me way stumpy, yer too small a fish fer me!"

He steps past Keandre to get closer to Lars!

"Runnin' already? 'Fraid I'm too much man fer ya, aye?"

Someone roars, and the threatening voice curses in response. Half a second later an axe blade sweeps out of the mist in front of Keandre's nose and slams into the ground before him. In the mist Keandre can make out the twisted (slightly acid burned) mustache and face of an enraged halfling with a big axe.

"ENOUGH WAITIN'! MORE KILLIN'!"

"Grr."

The halfling looks straight at the party, scowls, and dashes off into the crowd, leaving the terrified food-seller now sporting a rapidly blackening eye, laying in the dust.

Funny you saw him hanging around Paracountess Dralneen's estate where you took him for an indentured footman.
