I am having no further issues. Hooray for that. Was getting tired of the site going down.

"This had better work."

Lantesh backs off from the turtle-like creature.

Withdraw action, moving 40' away.

Thanks for the update. Once everything from the first round is resolved I will post my next action.

Hearing the splash Lantesh notices the source of the noise. Before he can react the mysterious creature apparently comes out of the water and moves toward the little one.

He instantly becomes focused and moves toward the turtle thing. He gets within attack range and claws at it.

Lantesh carefully smells and examines the food to ensure it is suitable to eat. He meets the gaze of Anwyn for a few seconds before taking a small portion to eat.

"Must have strength and rest in order to protect."

He moves next to Anwyn and speaks so only she can hear it.

"When we leave here I will hunt for you. You must have strength."

"The others seem to be of a strong sort." He says while looking at the others. "Although some of them talk too much." he says as he looks between Eadfaas and Taemon'dow.

Lantesh listens to the conversation and then weighs in.

"Let us kill it or avoid it. Either way, let us come to a decision. Rest is welcome for the lady." he says as he gestures to Anwyn.

As the group makes it to the exit Lantesh cautiously steps out with all senses alert.

"I will look as well" Lantesh says in a low voice.

Perception including smell: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Is there any moonlight?

Anwyn, fatigued means you are just tired. Now if you were exausted I could see breathing in gasps like that. Nightflier, would you be willing to confirm this?

As the group travels Lantesh notices Anwyn growing weary. When he has arrested his attention, he motions to Alan to help her.

"Fresh air. The surface is close. Be wary." He says to the rest of the group.

At the words of Anwyn Lantesh instantly becomes alert and moves into a half crouch stance. He smells the air in an attempt to find anything unusual.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Regardless of finding anything he methodically moves with Anwyn away from the object that holds everyone's attention.

Lantesh looks between Alan and the unfamiliar blade hesitantly. With what sounds like an affirmative grunt Lantesh pulls his hands as far apart as he can and places them on the ground.

Looking up at Alan he nods.

Lantesh quickly realizes that this is one fight that is unlikely to be winnable. As Eadfaas calls out to the other slaves he takes the opportunity to speak to Anwyn.

"Use the other slaves as cover. We must get underground fast. These may come with us." he says while gesturing to those who have gathered around Anwyn. "Not much time left."

I think that the option I like best is hauling the stone out of the way. Use a distraction and get an animal or two to get into the cavern as soon as possible. The guards are not trustworthy is my estimation.

Speaking, again, as the resident Grammar Nazi, there does exist a convention in the written word, designed to specifically indicate the difference between spoken words and described actions. This convention is known as "quotation marks." :-)

That said, given that everyone here is on different time zones, and may use English more or less frequently than others, I'm on board with using bold type as well as quotation marks when speaking in-character: whatever makes it easier to keep from being overlooked. ;-)

Then may I suggest reading on what is considered the standard regarding Play by Post gaming here on the Paizo forums? This is why I mentioned it in the first place.

Lantesh turns his intense gaze to Taemon'dow when he approaches and listens to him as he speaks. He carefully watches for any indication of duplicity. Not sensing any, he continues to listen.

For reference, when Lantesh is looking intensely at anyone, at first glance it seems his gaze is borderline hateful.

Anwyn listens to the speech spoken by the fire-haired man, only barely understanding his words. His accent was strange plus the tongue he spoke was like none she had heard before. Only the few sprinkles of words he spoke she pieced together allowed her to get the gist of his meaning.

She paused to allow Lantesh to 'evaluate' the newcomer and then, satisfied with the fact this man was no immediate threat to her (for now anyway), replies to him in the Trader's Tongue. "Yes, we work together as a team . We are being attacked by group of Fell. Resistance is useless; we must flee once we are free of our bonds." As she speaks to him, staring at him intently he cannot help but notice her eyes which are a blood red color, a kind never seen on any elvish race. Perhaps a sign she is also demon touched?

I do believe that Yardiff is male, not female. You are alternating between genders in your post.
Resident Grammar-Nazi chipping in here. The post is correct. As written, each use of "She/her" refers to Anwyn, and "He/Him" refers to Yardiff Bey. Some comma usage might have helped, and there's some slippage of past/present tense, but the pronoun usage is correct as written. :-)

Well then! That's what I get for trying to read the post when I am very tired.

Lantesh notices as the man approaches them. He studies the man with an intensity that usually makes others avert their eyes and avoid him.

He remains silent and waits for Anwyn or Alan to speak while he evaluates Yardiff.

Looking at Anwyn he smells that she is fine. Noticing Alan he gives a small, almost imperceptible nod. Following Anwyn's gaze when her hand tightens, he again focuses on the elf.

The short one behind Lantesh was slow. Enough that he kept causing Lantesh to stumble.

Grabbing the chains, he pulls them taut and drags the man along.

"Keep up or you'll face worse than the slavers." he growls.

Lantesh was angry. He couldn't see Anwyn and it was driving him mad. Every slaver that

looked at her wrong would have to face him. The legate he would deal with in his own time.

1d100 ⇒ 73

A rather tall man is chained to the rest of the gang. He is muscular, with shoulder length white hair. He seems to be wearing the tattered remains of the clothes he adventures in. As he moves with the slaves he doesn't speak to anyone. The only thing he does is observe each slaver and the legate in particular.

The hobgoblins are keeping away from him oddly enough. When they meet his gaze he stares with obvious hatred at them. They don't keep eye contact for long. They put him in the back of the line. His gaze seems to make them nervous.

Edited the intro.

Lantesh, I would recommend Combat Reflexes as his bonus feat. Since he is Anwyn's bodyguard, that feat allows you to take the Bodyguard chain of feats. It would fit him perfectly IMO.

If Nightflier allows another additional feat then I would take the Imp. Natural Armor feat.

PS. Anwyn took Canny Defense as her additional bonus feat. AC 23 w/o armor FTW, he he.

I have altered the feats that Lantesh has. I have dropped weapon focus and have taken the following feats: Combat Reflexes and Improved Natural Armor.

Nightflier, regarding the beast form for the Varyag, how long does it last? I realized that there is no time limit stipulated. Does it go off of the spell or is there another duration you would like? Perhaps a greater limit of, oh say, 1 hour per level? Or would a different duration be better?

1 minute per level seems a bit restrictive for a lycanthrope to me.

I am still debating on which feat I should take. I have narrowed it down to these:

Combat Reflexes
Improved Natural Armor
Skill Focus
Throw Anything
Toughness

Thoughts? I am leaning towards the natural armor at this point but would like some suggestions.

Nightflier, I just caught something about the Varyag. I see what the class skills are, but nothing indicates what skill points they get.

Would you be willing to say that it is 4 + Int? He barely has any weapon proficiencies as it is. Having addition skills to work with would to round out the character quite nicely. This would also allow him to rely more on his abilities which is what I plan on him doing.

Thoughts?

And thanks for the bonus feat. I will incorporate it.
