Liberty's Edge

DarkPhoneixx is correct. Both the rider and the mount count as charging, and neither of them has the extra action to use a feat like vital strike or spring attack.

Liberty's Edge

Easy answer.

Enhancement bonuses never stack. Plain and simple. If you have a +1 armor enchant and a +1 Weapon enchant on your shield, they overlap and the shield counts as a +1 weapon. The only bonus the +1 weapon enchant gives is the ability to now add other enchantments such as fiery, shocking, holy, etc.

As for your 2nd point, no. The shield slam feat does not allow you to fly. This sounds trolly, not like a serious question.

As for the resisting an ally's attack. You can choose not to defend yourself, in effect becoming helpless, as per the condition. You still have armor if you are wearing it, but combat maneuvers on you are easy.

Shield bashing fighter/rules monkey here.

Yes, you can! Sort of!

You can NOT take a five foot step while prone, however you can expend an action to move 5 feet, via crawl. That fits the phrasing of the Shield Slam Feat: "You may choose to move with your target if you are able to take a 5-foot step or to spend an action to move this turn."

Therefore IF you attack from prone using only a standard attack, you may, after bull rushing, follow 5 feet using your move action. However, since you could just as easily attack and then move using your two actions, there is no tangible benefit in this situation.

Imagine bashing somebody from prone, and using the momentum of this swing to roll over 5 feet. Mechanically this is not better than bashing them, then crawling, as two separate actions. Both use your move and standard actions regardless.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

My understanding of the situation is this:
If your intelligence would result in 0 or fewer skill points, you get 1 instead. Then you can add to that value by being a human, using your favored class bonus, or having a class that gains additional skills such as lore warden.

Can I use the Butterfly Sting's effect more than once in a round? In other words, assuming I crit'd 4 times in a round, could I pass off all 4 crits? Would it matter if I hit multiple opponents?

Feat: Butterfly’s Sting (Critical)

You can forgo a critical hit in order to pass it on to an ally.

Prerequisite: Combat Expertise.

Benefit: When you confirm a critical hit against a creature, you can choose to forgo the effect of the critical hit and grant a critical hit to the next ally who hits the creature with a melee attack before the start of your next turn. Your attack only deals normal damage, and the next ally automatically confirms the hit as a critical.

No, You can pass along one critical hit per enemy. The first time you use this ability, the next ally will confirm his next hit as a critical against that enemy. If you use it multiple times on that enemy, you just have the same effect stacked onto itself, each applying to the next attack. Once that attack happens, all butterfly sting effects are over.

So far, I have played 2 PFS games at level 1 with this char. and his monkey, and let me tell you. The monkey Has done more damage than the Martial characters so far... Albeit due to they have missed a lot, where as my monkey has rolled criticals in each game. I always have him climbing high and firing from higher ground to get that additional +1 to hit. Which has made a difference. However, he does attack every two rounds. Right now, he is currently equipped with a Heavy Crossbow, am thinking about equipping him with a repeating light crossbow, less damage per bolt, but, more attacks. And with the light repeating crossbow, he can make use of a high BAB.

Higher ground bonus only applies to melee attacks, not ranged.
