Backstory:
Knight Captain Landrich Olstead is covered from head to toe in brilliant shining full plate armor, yet somehow moves as gracefully and nimbly as an acrobat or even a dancer. A spectacular heavy shield is locked to his left gauntlet, though he seems to have no other weapons readily available. His right pauldron bears the symbol of the Andoran Eagle, matched by the words "Liberty, Community, Service" on his left. If you catch him without his armor, you will see his shoulders bear tattoos to match.
The bastard son of unwilling parents, Landrich was raised in Andoran by halflings called the Lightfoot clan, who instilled in them the importance of community and protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Being larger and stronger (as a human) than others in his village, he grew to pride himself on his ability to protect them, and when Chelaxian slavers raided his villaige, he killed several of them before finally and valiantly falling. Left for dead, Landrich awoke to find his village empty, and himself homeless and friendless. This is when he stumbled accross the Pathfinder Society.
After being initiated by the First Steps, Landrich's resolve to serving the Pathfinder Society was redoubled when he was sent along with two other Andorans on a mission to capture a Chelish slave ship (the Hydra's Fang Incident). Among a few others, these Andorans, Bidrid the barbarian and Rijn the enchanter became his close friends and traveling companions for countless adventures to follow.
Landrich is now a very vocal proponent of the Liberty's edge, and is eager to exemplify the ideals of liberty, community, and service, as well as recruit new heroes to share in his vision.
