Physical Description
Age: Unknown.
Eyes: Silver.
Body Type: 5'10", 190lbs, lean and muscular.
Appearance: Lander wears a short, dark-brown leather jacket that is trimmed with wolf's fur and hawk feathers. Underneath he wears a tunic the color of coagulated blood. He is riddled with scars from all sorts of causes, including but not limited to claws, teeth, fire, acid, frostbite, and wyvern tails. Black leather buckled boots (say that five times fast) protect his feet.
Personality
Self-serving, independent, emotional, callous, narcissistic, instinctual, greedy, and naturally talented. Lander's primal nature either makes others scared, curious, or horny. Most of his encounters and relationships either end up in the bedroom, or at the morgue. He constantly hungers for something, though it is usually of a baser nature (eat, drink, sleep, and/or sex). Sirian and him tolerate each other's company, mainly out of respect for one another's talents. But there is still a barrier of mistrust between them. Kalyna is the core of Lander's sexual desires, and he strives to protect her more than any other person he has encountered. Make no mistake of his intentions. He cares for her well being solely because he isn't into necrophilia, unlike SOME members of the party...
Backstory
Lander Moonsire Vane was born in the Feywood among a small druid clan known as the Nocturnals. Like the name implies, their pack is active more so at night than during the day. Lander was unique among them because he was both conceived and born under a full moon. But a terrible secret lies at the heart of his conception. His parents had conceived him while shifted, which is how lycanthropes are born. They are terrible creatures infused with the primal energy of nature, which often overcomes them on full moons or in states of emotional distress. Any indication of his abominable conception would be hidden from the pack until he reached puberty. It was then they knew of Lander's true nature and feared for the worst. Not only did they fear for the safety of the pack, they also feared for their security in leadership. The birth of a Primal Child could be seen as an omen by the Nocturnals, and so the elders feared the reverence of the pack could shift toward him. Not taking any chances, they kidnapped him at age 15 and brought him far away from their camp. They then cast a powerful and druidically distasteful ritual on Lander, which forced him to remain shifted into an animal for decades. The most comfortable form for him is the wolf, and so for 25 years he lived in the wild as such. When he finally returned to his human form, he had only vague recollections of life prior to the ritual. He'll occasionally receive flashbacks, but he feels they are memories that do not belong to him. So, with nothing to guide him, he acted on instinct alone and relearned everything about himself, having only the need to take care of himself. He would eventually acclimate to city life in Amasia, where he found that gold can bring a man many pleasures in life that the wild cannot. Eventually he would settle with a regular job as some muscle for a crime syndicate, where he found he could have as much meat, drink, and women as he wanted. It would seem his second life is a stark contrast to his previous one. Over the years, he outlived his bosses. He noticed he outlived a lot of people. Then unemployed and needing excitement, he decided to offer himself for sale as a mercenary. Once again, his thirst for gold, women, and battle was satiated. Shortly after becoming self-employed, Lander was commissioned by the council because of his unique "talents" to join the Escort Guard, whom of which promised more of what he desires.
