Before you get a chance to investigate further, you are summoned to Saxby's office. On the way you pass a lot of worried colleagues rushing about in a very busy manner, and a lot of RHC staff from the Slate office, all suspiciously prim.
Lady Saxby is frowning, standing up beside her chair, and on the other side of the desk Delft is standing, chewing blindly, smiling, looking a bit daft. To the side is a tall man, shiny military uniform (Lemond recognizes a medal for valor in the Third Yerasol War), fantastic mustache, monocle. From the tense atmosphere in the room you all immediately realize who this must be. No one is sitting down and there aren't enough chairs: a ploy by Saxby to keep things brief.
'Viscount Inspector Nigel Price-Hill' Saxby introduces you. 'Viscount, this is Professor Dufresne and his team, our best RHC Squad. You'll need to interview them for the audit on Delft, obviously.' She doesn't look enthusiastic, gives you warning looks to keep quiet.
'Congratulations on bringing down Macbannin, and saving the king', the Viscount shakes each of your hands. He then looks at Lemond, "I have heard you have done some excellent work for us in Drakr." He pauses coughs and then continues: "Of course, but after finding one incident of such egregious corruption, it is doubly critical to be on watch for more.' It sounds like a threat.
'Yes, Excellent' Saxby interrupts. 'That's all. Stay on your current case and cooperate with any requests from the Viscount’s staff as they review Delft's actions. As we all know there have been no other complaints of any sort', she glares at Johnathan knowingly - he looks back confused.
He continues with Lemond, 'I read you are a veteran of Yerasol, like myself', the Viscount ignores Saxby and speaks with Lemond as Saxby scowls. 'It gives a good name to the RHC don't you think Margaret'. Saxby smiles widely back, toothy and joyless. You try not to chuckle, you have never heard her common name spoken in the office before and to her face no less.
'Why, yes Viscount, what a good point.' Her eyes move over to Angus and scream 'get out and get back to work you dogs' but her smile never flickers. Delft laughs to himself.
