Agh! How could it all have gone so wrong?! Alex wonders to herself as the skeletons' weapons slip around her shield and through her armor as if she wore nothing at all. "I may as well be naked." She grumbles through the pain and bashes and swings at the undead sword master, radiant energy flowing through her to smite the creature down.

Looking around the storeroom Alex longs for something nicer than trail rations. Perhaps on our way out... "Keep your light away from yourself, Teo Brissett." Alex says with a hand to her throat. "In case there are more of those light-hating grabbers around. I can also carry a torch, but I will have to drop it to draw my sword if we get in to trouble."

In response to Gwen she says "This is as good a place as any. If whoever is in charge of the undead had more in this area to throw at us, they would have."

"That was a decent warm up." Alex notes as the last skeleton fallen. "But I am fearful of what stock these skeletons come from." She looks around the room. "There are many supplies here. More than one person might need, I think. I wonder if they are all stolen or if someone is paying tribute to the necromancer."

Uhf! That one does not appreciate its efforts being questioned. Alex remarks of the skeleton that hits her harder than expected. Maybe it's the boss skeleton. "There are only a few more left, Gwenifer White. They are a threat to others that must be dealt with."

The skeletons swords catch on Alex' shield or the door frame. She decides not to knock anymore skeletons down so that Teo and Fin can see them better around her, so she knocks another with her hammer. This was a bit easier than she had hoped it would be. "The skeletons are not very good at what they do."

"Hah!" Alex shouts in triumph. Between her positioning and protective magic this is an ideal situation for her. "This is more like it! Face me, monsters!" She tries to bludgeon the skeleton before her with shield and hammer.

Alex steps into the doorway and scolds the other ladies. "Get back in here, you two!" Protection magic enfolds her and she draws her warhammer to better deal with the bony beasts.

"If that is our only recourse. I had hopped one on you might have an alternative." Her eyes fall on Teo. The smaller races did tend to have a penchant for mischief. Alex braces herself on her left foot and drives her right leg in to the door next to the lock. "Ayah!"

"If anyone is here, I suspect they would be behind a door somewhere." Alex stalks to the closed door, wary of more glyph traps, especially on the closed door. as interesting as being purple sounds, she isn't sure she would survive a total conversion at this rate.

Is there a take ten or something to casually peruse for traps and other nonsense without having to make a bunch of rolls or waste in-game time?

Alex screams as the spell courses through her and falls backwards. After the worst of the pain subsides she pulls off a gauntlet and a glove to se the damage. The purply injury matches the ones on her neck she got from the choking monster yesterday. "It seems." She huffs, forcing a small laugh, "That the entity behind all thisnis conspiring to turn my entire body purple. I think I would look rather fetching in purple." She channels a small portion of her power to heal some of the damage and puts her gauntlet back on.
Use LoH to heal 15hp.

"Indeed." Alex grunts. "Four skeletons are not exactly a force of nature. The necromancer must have enhanced them somehow." She says, looking for an excuse to explain the rather humiliating defeat. She leads the way to the dock they left their boat at.

Alex wakes much more refreshed after a night in a bed. After eating and washing up she asks Gwen to help her with her armor. "I cannot think of anything else we might need to do here, Teo Brissett. We should try to approach the island from a different side so our landing might be unopposed. If not, I can stand on the bow of the boat and draw fire with my shield while we advance to the shore."

"If the necromancer did not know we were coming before, it does now. A shame." Alex doesn't want to rest but the power that normally fills her is almost depleted and Gwen and Teo are injured.

"We should stay at the inn. It has been days since I have slept in a real bed. I would not mind a bath, either. The kitchen might have something better to eat than rations. And somewhere to wash my things..." She realizes she's babbling about things that don't matter that much and trails off.

Alex follows the injured Gwen back to the boat. Opposed landings are so stupid. She wipes a fleck of blood from Gwen's cheek with her thumb, transferring some of her healing power into her at the same time. "Come here, my lovely. You are bleeding."

Move to the boat, taking whatever AOO's. Action to Heal Gwen 15 Hp with LoH. No spells, no LoH left today. I'll stand in front of Teo to give her cover if I can.
