"Ah, and we've almost made it. First things first, we need to warn the guard's here about the uprising, prepare the town for Aldencross' people to arrive, and send word to the rest of the towers." Kyriel says, taking stock of the situtation.

"Does anyone have any connections to the guards here?" he asks, knowing at least Karl has some official connections.

"Two, if you count Nukilik's lunch," Kyriel quips back to Cal, laughing through a sly grin.

After the impromptu feast, Kyriel suggests they continue on:
"Plenty of daylight left today. Shall we continue then?"

Despite that he's only really notably used his bow so far, Kyriel is actually built for melee. Hopefully I'll get the init drop on them, get another arrow off, then pull my rapier out.

Nocking his arrow, he draws, then looks back to the others.
Kyriel will loose his arrow if the others agree to fight.

Yeah, if we're confident the town and my tribe can beat the army out, then I'm all for running ahead and giving Daveryn as much notice as possible. We're certainly more capable of defending ourselves than most others in town, I'd assume. Let's do it.

While the others help around town and take care of their own business, Kyriel borrows a pair of horses and moves as quickly as he can back towards Lake Tarik to break the news to his people. After a disappointing conversation with his saddened tribe, he manages to convince them to abandon their home and move east with the people of Aldencross.

Rusing back to Aldencross with two very tired horses, Kyriel finds the others, many of whom have assumed important roles in the preparing the evacuation.

"Perhaps we should scout ahead," he suggests when they get a free moment.
"If that army catches us leading all the townspeople, we're lost anyway. At least if we get ahead, we can identify any threats and try to move around them."

@Sundakan - I highly doubt it. Kyriel specifically needs a free hand for rapier things, bears + shields = ????, and I'd expect Cal would rather keep his hands on Mathilda. You might as well take the Champion Fullplate too, I think. With Attunement and GM's new rule for ABP, you can ditch the 'Champion' ability and call it +2 Full Plate (if I'm interpreting that correctly).

I'll snatch up the spellbooks and the Dispel scroll, unless someone else needs them, and enough gold to pay to copy spells into my own book. I'd take a bow if they're not wanted, but the strength rating is too high for me to use now, so I'm not super attached.

Probably a good thing to give everyone 2 or 3 of the CLW potions, and a front-liner the CMW.

No sense letting this army have any more than we must," Kyriel says, looking down to the dead Commander sadly and thinking about the dead captains up in their tower. "They may have wrecked the armory, but maybe we can find something of use. I imagine the Commander would want every resource utilized. We should check the officer's rooms on the way back too. I'm guessing these killers didn't have time to be thieves as well."

Kyriel looks thoughtful for a moment.
"Nukilik, can your friend the priest raise the dead? Perhaps we should bring the commander's corpse as well..."

It's pretty much exactly halfway between Schenectady and Amsterdam. Definitely a bright spot. Though Schenectady is doing AMAZING (downtown especially), particularly if you haven't been up here in a while. The last decade or so it's improved about a hundredfold.

Glad to hear you're handling it well, hope the rest of your family is too. I hope you enjoy your time in real New York as much as you can, given the circumstances.

Bonus Recommendation: Check out Wolf Hollow Brewery on 5. It's relatively new-ish, and a cool place to relax and decompress on the weekend. Nice big round tables and they encourage board games etc. Beer's really good if that's your thing, and they do BBQ too.
