I just did a scenario last night where the 2nd PP required the party not to set off more than one or two traps... we didn't have a rogue or anybody who was good at disabling devices, and managed to hit every trap in the place. It was all good fun, though. Also, I'm down 1 PP to get the curse removed, right?

Once they're both securely trussed up he uses his healing wand, first to restore his allies to health then to bring the prisoners back from the brink of death. "I want answers from somebody." By my count that's five more shots from the CLW wand--two to Greydrake, one to Kardiv, one each to the scribes.
