Perception - Kul-Amon's own: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

The half-orc cleric snorts, grinning in a ... rather disturbing way. "Roses on wet hay. Kul-Amon knows neither of those things, but the scent you are smelling is far more complex then that."

He closes his eyes and raises his palms towards the ceiling. "Kul-Amon smells the blood of his wounds, the flesh upon his breath, the fear in his musk. Follow Kul-Amon, and he will take to where this scent ends."

Kul-Amon grunts grumpily. "Well done, Yargul of Irori. Kul-Amon will now mend the flesh and draw lessons of his failures"

Cure Light Wounds (wand): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

His flesh knitting back together, the half-orc looks about the cave they are in. "What was it? And why do you think it attacked us?" he asks, looking for further signs of the direction the minotaur prince has been dragged in.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

"You are not shooting Korum of the sharp tongue. You are hitting this beast" explains Kul-Amon as he attempts to bring down his falchion upon the creature.

Hit?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

The blade whistles through the air, missing it's intended target and Kul-Amon frowns. "It is much like what Kul-Amon tried but failed to do."

Kul-Amon grunts in pain, baring his teeth to the creature as he steps on closer to it. "Shaya of the Silver-Skin; it is ugly on the outside too. Let the lady Shelyn know. As I will let this creature know of my wrath."

Hand of the Acolyte, wielding a falchion: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 1 - 4 = 11

Kul-Amon's weapon flies through the air, but the aim is mediocre; is spins back into Kul-Amon's hands without having done anythign but give the creature a close shave.

Kul-Amon raises an eyebrow and offers: "Very well. Kul-Amon will not tell you that, even if it is true."

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

Not seeing anything off about the scene, apart from the odor, he adds: "We should move forth. The weird and exciting thing is not going to come towards us, unless it is really strange and the winds of arcana will it."

Kul-Amon frowns, but stays silent for a few moments, long enough to be a few hundred paces from the opening, following the drag marks. But, no longer able to contain himself, he states solemnly: "I do not see how Shaya Silver-Skin's behavior does not allow her to keep any mate she so desires. That grab was well executed; I do not know many of my kin who would have been able to get out of it." He pauses, slowing down to double check certain anatomical features before adding "Nor are her buttocks too large for her frame, in Kul-Amon's mind. Kul-Amon thinks that if Shaya Silver-Skin isn't able to keep mates, it is because they are weaklings who cannot handle the power of her female form. So they run away like cowards. Or maybe if they aren't of orc-blood, they cannot understand our ways." At that, his eyes take on a sad, bitter look. "Yes, there is much ignorance of the ways of the sand orcs. It must be the same for Shaya Silver-Skinned and Korum the Allspeaker and their people. Lots of weak, stupid not-orcs. Kul-Amon is blessed by the All-Seeing Eye not to travel with any of them."

Kul-Amon draws his blade as he steps up besides Yargul. "That is not a mystery known to Kul-Amon. But mysteries are tests of valor, and knowledge is a hard-earned currency" he states, as teh blade arcs down towards the beast.

Falchion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 = 8

Kul-Amon nods to Dulcinea, the newest addition to the group in his mind. "Kul-Amon understands. In part. It is a terrible name to give a place. Only pig guts fester green most of the time."

***Later***

Kul-Amon steps on in past Korum, his orc eyes piercing through the darkness without trouble and puts another marking upon the wall.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

"Kul-Amon agrees. The nothing within this chamber is quite large. A sign from the All-Seeing Eye, to whom contradictions are manifestations of the power to accomplish the impossible."

Kul-Amon raises an eyebrow. "Would it not be that of the green pig?
And do they ask that you kill the green pig, or is that done for you? Kul-Amon does not mind slaughtering pigs, but he has not done such things often, or well according to the elders."

Kul-Amon, playing with the straps of his Cords of resistance (which function in every way, shape and form as a cloak of resistance +1 I just purchased) comments: "Kul-Amon does not see why one would hide a town down in these caves; it seems like a lot of human strangeness. But Kul-Amon is not one to know much about humans and hiding towns underground." And with that, he gruffly reaches into his pocket to fetch one of the many, MANY pieces of chalk he purchased.

Kul-Amon would have spent a gold on chalk and a trail ration.
And three more alchemist's fires.

Kul-Amon, standing solemnly nearby, looks particularly dour as he has been ever since he has returned from his own personal escapade, something he has not been exactly forthcoming about.

"Kul-Amon is not a curious man. It is what makes him acceptable to the All-Seeing Eye; he knows what is and what is not. But Kul-Amon does know that if there is a time to ask questions, he should ask what he should be asking if Drendle Drang the Ancient one or the burned one Grandmaster Torch where in his shoes. Kul-Amon realizes that this question only works if the people he is talking to only wish for Kul-Amon's and Kul-Amon's companions best interests. Kul-Amon has decided not to worry about that as retribution is like the winds of mana. One is a fool to try and predict them always."

He grunts, assuming that his question is clear as water.

Kul-Amon is set, I just will need to figure out what I want to buy. Which shouldn't take too long.

Definitely will take part in the playtest, just to get a feel, share my thoughts, so on and so forth, see how it pans out.

But I think I'll change how I consume RPGs. I have entire shelves dedicated to PF1 material; it's not a lot compared to some, but it is a lot, insofar as space, and I spent a lot insofar as getting copies: one copy to keep proudly in the bookcase, one to carry around to conventions... At one point, I owned four CRBs (I gave some away as gifts)

And that's not counting the what I spent on getting pdfs, just so that I could carry my materials around and still have a spine at the end. I'm not bitter about my purchases, like many are in the blogpost; I will always enjoy having them. But from here on out, I think I'm getting pdfs only, if just to save on space.

I'm open to the idea of there being a new edition of pathfinder.

I don't think this impacts us much, except that if we need new blood we may not find any. But then again, if we needed new blood we could probably manage as we know enough people who are well established on the forums.

We also have another year and a half before the story of pfs stops being written for PF1.

Other than that, I am not sure it really affects us, as we are almost like a mini campaign; short of the group breaking down, the characters were going to stay in this group.

"Kul-Amon does not know any bars that are green. Kul-Amon has only seen bars that are the color of the rock that makes them. If Kul-Amon spots green stone, Kul-Amon will make a note of that place in his mind. In the meantime, Kul-Amon would take Shaya of the great blade to a regular bar, as the mysteries of art are even beyond Kul-Amon's knowing" replies Kul-Amon after the briefing, eyeing Klo weirdly. "Kul-Amon does not know of any arts that are in a camp outside the city, as Kul-Amon does not know of any green bars outside the city in camps. All this confuses Kul-Amon. Kul-Amon will follow Shaya as she has the idea that does not confuse Kul-Amon" he continues, motioning for Shaya to lead the way.

"Kul-Amon will help. Hold that spear there. No, there" directs the cleric as he sets aside the head for future use. "Kul-Amon believes everyone is OK. If not, they will have to wait. Kul-Amon only has two hands and one more request to ask of the All-Seeing Eye."

This is going to be the difficult part: Figuring out how many charges I used on the wand here.

Just to be sure, Kul-Amon goes to take her head.

Kul-Amon hit?: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 11

And misses.

Kul-Amon steps forward ponderously. "And now, you die at the hands of Kul-Amon. There is no shame in that. Rejoice. Your next life will be a better one."

"She does not wish for you to change the weather Shaya of the beautiful strikes" huffs Kul-Amon, who contemplates throwing his weapon again but realizes that the spell that makes him large would end on the weapon. Thus he trudges on and around.

Double move!

Kul-Amon draws his weapon anew, snarling. "Kul-Amon comes Shaya of the wicked spear. Let Kul-Amon have the joy of combat with her" he barks, letting his weapon fly out towards one of the goblins.

Using Hand of the Acolyte!

Attack vs Green Goblin: 1d20 + 2 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 2 - 2 + 1 = 17
Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9

Kul-Amon erupts with laughter. "Death? Death is what Kul-Amon has brought on wings of steel. Death is what awaits the weak. And here, in this place, Kul-Amon will bring death to you!" taunts Kul-Amon as he call upon Nethys' blessings to finish that one.

Kul-Amon looks to the others. "Do we have a leader? Kul-Amon believes in leaders, but doesn't remember being told one of us was a leader. Perhaps we should all go up. Or perhaps the one with the best words should go in place of the leader."

Kul-Amon begins healing his party members with his wand, tappign each of them in turn.

Yargul heals: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Klo heals: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Shaya heals: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Jikan heals: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

"All is well now. Let us look over the remains of this bomb-throwing goblin and go."

"Kul-Amon is a servant of Nethys, whose gaze sees all, whose mind knows all and whose hands can enact anything into being" states Kul-Amon, his hands raised towards the ceiling. "Do not fear, Shaya with-muscles-of-steel. Kul-Amon is but a lowly servant, and his worship is that of ancient times. And Kul-Amon also has a healing stick. The magic within will sustain you. And yes, it is called a wand. But Kul-Amon does not see a difference between calling it a wand and calling it a healing stick."

I couldn't have deselected him with Selective channeling, or am I at max dealing with unconscious goblins?

"Kul-Amon would be meat for worthy predator if he wasn't, Shaya of many words."

Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Kul-Amon takes the full brunt of the fire.

Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 6

"Mundane fire means nothing before the power of the all-seeing eye!"

Kul-Amon moves to a spot he can see his last opponent and chuckles heartily.

"Do not fear. Soon the unworthy will find themselves purged by the arcane that gave us what we hold as common. Sinew and steel."

Kul-Amon then launches his falchion, which clangs against the ceiling/ground before returning to his hand. "Kul-Amon should heed his own words."

I would love to continue on. I might go quiet at times, but I will not abandon people mid-game without at least a message explaining what the heck is going on.

Here's the question though: do we want to look for another? I relish the challenge of Season 4-ish, but I am also weary of going at it with less than a full table. I'll still do it: You Only Die Twice after all :D

Kul-Amon begins chanting in a pidgin of Orcish and Taldane, before finishing with a clear invocation in the latter: "Nethys, Wheel and Woe, give us your blessing!"

Casting Bless

He then steps forward, eagerly awaiting his companions to join the fray.

Kul-Amon moves up, his weapon drawn.

"Tower shields make for great cover. Kul-Amon would go and purchase one if he could."

Shaya, you've been healed to full. Nethys protects! (Hopefully)

Kul-Amon raises his hands to the ceiling. "And so did the giver and taker, the wound and the balm gave his faithful servant another shield. Glory be!"

Kul-Amon sides up behind Shaya, glowering at his lack of foresight. "Yargul's full shield is an advantage we should use."

Almost makes me want to head back up into town to grab a ranged weapon.

Kul-Amon soberly beckons everyone wounded to come on over to him. "The smallest rock is enough to bring down the mountain. This Kul-Amon has seen. Allow Nethys to close your wounds so that your mountain does not collapse."

"Should we go forth now? They know we are here. Kul-Amon wishes to vanquish his foes, but Kul-Amon also wishes to be alive to tell the tale. How do we go on?"

Kul-Amon, shamed by his weakness, risks a look around the corner. Kul-Amon wonders what she is saying.

Kul-Amon, as a parting gift to the water that stands, calls upon Nethys to deliver a blow onto the creature.

Now we withdraw away.

Kul-Amon rises and moves back. "The way must be made for those with the will. Go, and wreck much havoc upon them" exclaims Kul-Amon to Shaya. I suppose my movement may provoke from the ooze thing if it threatens.

I need some clarification for my turn 6 action: is ANYTHING within 30 feet of Kul-Amon that he can hand of the acolyte the crap out of? Also, we should withdraw and let Shaya smash them into oblivion.

Fire engulfs the half-orc as he wordlessly falls down to his knees and then over.

Quick question, how many alchemists' fire am I going to be burning from next turn?

I am at -6 Yargul. Unless another heal comes my way this turn, I am not going to be moving out of the way. On the plus side though, I won't be hampering movement. I might be cooked though, as the GM only needs to roll above average to outright kill me if I am being burned by two alchemists's fire. I believe I have a wand of ClW on me.

Kul-Amon draws his weapon and channels Nethys' radiance. "Kul-Amon never had seen angry water. Now Kul-Amon is one step closer to enlightenment."

Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Kul-Amon shrugs and begins to climb up!

Wall to brace against + knotted rope. Let's see how badly I fail that DC 0 climb check!
