Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Kudzu takes one quick step to the side, then swings at the rampaging device.

Warhammer 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Sorry, should have specified - we were players when others were DMing. We had a vested interest in not divulging any meta-plot details. So there wasn't any real downtime.

As an alternate idea, a couple years ago, we ran a PnP game with three DMs. The plotline was based around alternate prime material planes, how the barriers between them were weakening, and the players were trying to locate the source of the trouble and eliminate it.

Each DM had their own game world - and we worked out the meta-plot ahead of time. The PCs were created individually - I had 2, the second DM had 2, the 3rd had 1 - rolled separately, with each game world in mind. What started the festivities is that they all found themselves transported to the 3rd world - a world that most of the party was unfamiliar with.

Then, periodically, the party would rotate through the universes, with plot threads in each pertaining to the meta-plot. The kicker was - and this is where it might help with the DM communication issues that you worry about - after our original agreements on the meta-plot, we didn't coordinate further. Each DM could build on the former events or not, as they chose, and could take the game in whatever direction seemed appropriate to them.

Loving those justifications

Thanks!

This is a hell of an idea, btw. Even if I'm not selected, it was fun as a mental exercise.

Don't forget the Bless

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Kudzu takes a moment to analyze the tactical situation, then will channel the might of Torag to heal the wounds of both her companions and the goblins.

channel, excluding the remaining machine 1d6 ⇒ 4

She'll then call out, "Anybody have any idea what the hell these things are?" as she moves forward to block their access to Surana.

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Thanks, terquem - had to post that one on my phone and missed the issue.

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Kudzu yells out, "Torag, hear our plea! Bless our weapons that we might strike down this creature!"

cast bless... +1 attack rolls and saves against fear

She then moves forward, trying to get in a flanking position for Krevek or Gruul.

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Not exactly light on her feet!

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Init: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Kudzu will set her lantern down, draw her shield, and move in right behind Gruul.

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Kudzu sighs deeply. "Well, as the blue girl seems uninterested in sharing her name..." She turns to the orc, "What is your mission, perhaps I can assist?"

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

All dwarves are hermaphroditic :)

Kudzu's face hardens. "You would be surprised by what I can understand and believe, blue one. My charges, as you call them, have been very respectful since entering - and unlike you, consulted with the temple before entering."

"We do not claim ownership over these catacombs, but we - my fellow priests - have been tasked as caretakers. I am not demanding anything, it is concern that motivates my queries."

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Kudzu looks dismissively over to the orc and goblin, before turning his gaze back to the fighter. "I meant no disrespect, even to such as these. Still, all are welcome here as long as they respect the sanctity of the dead."

"In any case, I ask again - how did the three of you get into the catacombs? Nobody but the three of us has entered here in at least the last week. Were you trapped down here, perhaps by a cave-in? Or is there another secret passageway down here that leads out of the complex."

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

A squat form steps into the room, almost colliding with Ryko. "Oh... pardon me." says the dwarf, as she steps back a bit. Her eyes narrow as she takes in the 3 new people. "Where did the three of you come from?! These goblinoids are the only people authorized to be down here - how did you get here?"

Her eyes lock onto the blue-skinned spellcaster as the leader of the newcomers, and she blushes slightly. "I'm sorry, please forgive my surprise. My name is Kudzu - I am a priestess of Torag aligned with the temple upstairs. I was asked to accompany these two... in case they needed any assistance."

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Kudzu starts as the humanoids seemingly disappear into a solid stone wall. Hurrying forward, she just catches sight of the goblin gunman slide into the secret passage. Well, this isn't good. Better get ready.

Drawing her warhammer, she moves cautiously into the passage.

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

Kudzu sees her quarry pause at the edge of her lamplight, and strains to hear their conversation.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Dotting. What party roles do you seem to be lacking? I'm pretty flexible

Looks like, with varying levels of completeness:

Ancestor Oracle
Dwarf Ranger (melee)
Human Sorceror
Human Barbarian
Human Tetori Monk
Human Alchemist
Human Rogue
Aasimar Paladin

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

I dunno about #4. A goblin, dutifully following orders of the NE church of the murder God?

Female Dwarf Cleric 1

I look forward to playing with all of you. As I mentioned in the other thread, this is my first foray into play-by-post, so if I screw up, just let me know. :)

Not sure. :)

I searched the avatars available on here for female dwarven clerics, and this was the only one.

Edit: Statting up the character now - I'll also fill in a general background. Don't want to be too specific, to allow you to liberally apply hooks as necessary.

I just figured out how to get to the gameplay thread - I missed the tabs across the top.

Thanks, Oladon!

Wanted to make sure the GM was ok with the concept before statting up the character. Or should I go ahead and put her together?
