About Kroesh

Appearance
The gleam of armor and the immense sword slung on his back are the first things you notice about Kroesh. His protruding lower jaw and gray skin betray his half-orcish heritage. His holy symbol also identifies him as a cleric of Gorum, however his even temperment and clear eyes are very different from his bloodthirsty brethren.

Born in the birthing pens of a slave breeder in Daggermark, Kroesh was raised by slaves until he was old enough to stand, then sent to the trainers to 'prepare him for the ultimate glory of death in the arena'. That grim fate was not to be however when a group of priests of Gorum from Tymon came to the slave breeder looking for new apprentices. Kroesh was one of the lucky chosen and his new life began in service to the Lord in Iron. The slave rags he wore were replaced by a suit of chain mail tailored to fit his small frame. The elder priest that took charge of him was much more even tempered than the typical priests and Kroesh thrived in his care. When his daily tasks were finished he was allowed to read from the dusty old books that detailed past battles and the heroes who fought in them. When he was old enough, the elder priest taught him the art of armorcrafting and the ways of battle. His master noticed a profound wisdom in him and also began teaching him the ways of the clergy. Now as a cleric in his own right, with the scars from the slave trainers whips still burning his back, the teachings of his master echoing in his ears and the discipline of iron in his heart, Kroesh begins his journey westward to Ustalav and the rumors of battles in need of champions.
