About Koloran

Appearance
Fair haired and fair complected, Koloran's impeccably groomed appearance lead some to believe him naive, yet the firm set of his jaw and confident posture leave little doubt that this is a man of action.

Character Background:

Koloran grew up in Westcrown. His family served House Rufano, one of the minor old noble houses, for many years. His father, Kelbhen Melldorn was a swordmaster and trainer of the house guard and his mother Talithia was a cook. When Koloran was 6 his father had begun teaching him how to handle a sword and by the time he was 9 he was as comfortable with a blade as any of the house guard. When he was 12, House Rufano became heavily embroiled in a violent secret war with one of the upstart diabolical noble families. His parents decided they did not want to see their son become a man under the oppressive evil that had permeated all of Westcrown. He was sent to live and study at a nearby temple converted to the worship of Iomedae. Soon after, the temple received news of the deaths of several of House Rufano’s nobles and the disappearances of both Kelbhen and Talithia. During his years at the temple his care and instruction was overseen by a retired paladin named Lady Dalindra. One night Koloran was awakened by the sound of loud voices coming from a room below his and as he crept down into the basement of the temple he overheard people speaking about mysterious councils and wars on noble houses and pacts with devils and other things not suitable for discussion during the light of day. Many times, over the next several months he would slip quietly down the stairs to eavesdrop on what he discovered were regular meetings between the priests and various townspeople that were somehow never seen coming in or out of the temple. Hoping beyond hope to hear some news of his parents Koloran never spoke of what he had discovered with anyone. One night as he was about to rise to go downstairs, Dalindra met him at his door with a somber look. ‘Tonight you shall take your place in the light of the hall instead of lurking in darkness; the news of late is of great importance to your future.’ That night Koloran was welcomed as a brother cleric and proudly swore his oath to Iomedae in front of the priests and his peers in the below ground war room of the temple.
