Scarab Sages

Krakard grunts slightly, before replying, "Yes, that does feel better...I suppose I best follow Dr. Milligan's advice and get some rest...as well as avoid using the arm as best as possible..." Krakard ends with a huff of irritation, sliding himself off of the table and to his feet.

"If what you say is true doc, I figure it'd be best to follow your advice, even if I really don't want to..." Krakard says, and moves to a changing room.

Scarab Sages

"That's fine young lady, learning medicine and the ways of healing takes time." The healer replies with a kindly smile. "He has experienced quite a bit of physical trauma recently, his limbs having been removed and reattached by an...ignorant beast. This, coupled with his bad habit of not stretching regularly and not resting his muscles sufficiently-" The healer glares at Krakard disapprovingly, "-has caused a fair amount of stress and strain on the muscle."

"Yeah, well, I have work that I need to do, I can't just stop and take a day off." Krakard replies somewhat sheepishly.

"I'll deal with your...habits in a minute, Mr. Vakurt." The healer says, shooting Krakard a rather disapproving scowl. "As for his physical treatment, I believe a lesser restoration and a few days rest would be sufficient. Miss Silverstar, would you like to treat the patient?" The healer inquires, stepping out of the way to allow her access to the patient.

Scarab Sages

"Hmm? Ah, a field agent wishing to learn and practice the fine art of healing? How wonderful!" The healer replies, keep his attention focus on Krakard, testing his reflexes using a reflex hammer, and applying pressure to specific points around his joints.

"Argh! That one hurt." Krakard bellows as pressure is put on his left shoulder.

"Hmmm. Miss Silverstar, would you like to offer a theory as to why applying pressure to Mr. Vakurt's shoulder in such a manner caused such a response?" The healer says, stepping back from Krakard and offering Carol the opportunity to examine the shoulder herself.

Heal Check (Varying DCs):

DC 15 The shoulder shows signs of stress and strain, which is common in fighter types, especially as this is his primary arm. Given the patient's medical history, it is likely that he has neglected stretching and proper care of his muscular health.

DC 20 Due to recent trauma, as well as a somewhat poorly executed vivisection having been performed on the patient, it is likely that some muscles were not reattached properly, and thus are experiencing more stress as a result, especially combined with the patient's neglect of stretching and resting his muscles.

Scarab Sages

Krakard, wearing a patient's gown, shuffles himself on to the examination table, grumbling as he looks himself over. Many scars cover his body, an extreme reminder that not everything goes right, and that some foes would truly prefer to keep you alive as opposed to killing you outright.

"Mr. Vakurt, are you prepared for your physical?" A human male asks, holding a clipboard and a quill.

"Yeah. My joints are still too stiff...that Mi-Go was ruthless about his...was it a he? Whatever, it was ruthless in its examination of my body, and it feels like it didn't reconnect my muscles properly." Krakard replies, sighing in mild irritation.

"Well, that's what we're here for, making sure our fellow Pathfinders are in prime condition for fieldwork, no matter the issue." The healer replies with a smirk as he begins Krakard's physical.

Scarab Sages

Bump for FAQ, this needs to be addressed properly (and not the "give the GM the choice" thing, as this prevents the build to be effective in PFS (because the above decision ultimately becomes houserules, which is illegal in PFS)).

Scarab Sages

Miss Tah-Tahonik-Tahonikepsu

Long names are not my speciality, my apologies madam. I shall address you as Taho for the sake of my convenience, I dare hope this does not offend you.

I eagerly anticipate future expeditions to uncover lost relics for the good of all of Golarion. I hope to see the Scarab Sages become a greatly respected...organization? The discovery of your existence (and the look on Amenopheus' face) was intriguing, amazing, and exhilarating all at once (and perhaps slightly frightening).

The one greatest thing I hope for is that you (and the rested of the Sages) remember those who helped them attain their position.

I raise my blade to your name,

Your humble new recruit and warrior,

Krakard Vakurt
