Thank you, this is really great advice.

More of a player type problem:
Sorry if my initial question came across negative as it wasn't my intention. As you say, every group reacts differently to different styles of adventures, and I worry that some within the group will react negatively to the process more than anything. I do love many of the overall encounters, particularly the ones on the Curiosity table!

So Chapter 2 changes to an interesting location and starts off great.

However, the second part of Chapter 2, specifically:

Chapter 2, Part 3:
Across the High Ice - There are a lot of interesting encounters in the Expedition Events and the pressure of Osoyo's Nightmares pushing the group forward feels gritty (in a good way).

However, unless I am missing something or misunderstanding how this is supposed to work, it really seems like the party is going to need to make ~60ish "Cross the High Ice" exploration activities to complete this section.

I worry very much that this will end up being a slog for my players. Am I misunderstanding how this activity exploration activity works? How many "hours of play" do you think this section should take?

.

I hope that maybe I am misunderstanding this section (highly probable), but if not, maybe some suggestions on how to tweak it to not feel like too much of a

opinion:
grind/slog

Thanks Gustavo!

@threelite, I really love your maps! The first set from Chapter 6 are awesome, will be using them when I start this chapter in the next 2 weeks. I look forward to seeing the complete set of them.

Threelite, I am seriously looking forward to your Ch. 6 maps... I have always been just ahead of your creation schedule so I used the vanilla .pdf maps (which work, but are not near the quality of your maps).

I am looking forward to the Chapter 6 maps, hopefully my group doesn't push forward too fast so that I will be able to use your excellent maps!

Thanks, so far I have been allowing it so far and it doesn't seem overly imbalanced, however it sure does seem that RAW it shouldn't be allowed.

A Paladin has the ability to use Lay on Hands as a swift action to heal himself, but can he then forfeit his standard action to perform a second Lay on Hands on himself?

bwatford,

I really appreciate these maps. It seems in certain adventure paths the lack of battle maps has made setting up games for VT tedious for those of us that are not nearly as talented as you!

Looking forward to the last two sections of Market Square, I suspect my group will be there in a few week and would love to have a consistent theme.

Thanks again!
