Keaton sighs and runs his hand through his hair, starting to wish he was more aggressive so they could get this over with, but still resolute on waiting for them to make the first move.

He looks down to the snake on his shoulders. "Can you understand them?"

kora shakes her head.

Kora doesn't object. She just nuzzles.

"Being able to talk to the people we're supposed to negotiate with generally helps diplomacy. I don't know a whole lot about proteans, honestly. What are we here to do again?"

He leans against a tree, rubbing the snake on his shoulders under the chin. Sometimes it's easy to forget she used to be a human and doing this would be weird.

Kora doesn't much seem to care, nuzzling into the attention.

Kora softly hisses, more a simple aknowkadgement then a threat.

Kora isn't far behind Keaton, quietly wrapping around his feet.
