My players have just met Natalya in her shack and, after a tumultuous start and the killing of three goblins, they are now discussing with her. One of my player has proposed her to attack and try to get rid of the Tower Girls in exchange for the Shard of Pride.
I wonder to what extent Natalya could accept this offer. Does the shard exercise a control on the person who carries it, preventing him to willingly give or sell it to someone even if it's in his own best interests ?
In other words, if a person who carries a shard is offered, said, one million gp to give it up, would he be able to do it ?
