Since I found out that Neutral Champions were de-confirmed for APG on a Paizo livestream, Klatzu will likely get moved back to my -2002, so for -2004 I'll keep it simple with a Earn Income check since crafting before a character rebuild feels like a jank exploit.

Craft Earn Income: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 Add 2 if Level Bump carries through to here.

Klatzu screams loudly in rage as he charges out onto the ice, throwing his caution to the wind as he tries to draw his greatsword.

Drawing his Greatsword, he wildly takes a slash as he clumsily skates past the creature on the ice while screaming loudly in a mix of terror and anger.

I can draw it this turn, sadly draw>ready>attack will eat my actions for this turn but I can have the god-smite ready for next turn. Klatzu would have still opted for the 1-action heal as his third action IMO even if it meant nothing in the grand scheme of things.

The weapon glimmers with magic and energy. The target becomes a +1 striking weapon, gaining a +1 item bonus to attack rolls and increasing the number of weapon damage dice to two.

Holding your weapon aloft, you fill it with divine energy. On your next Strike with that weapon before the start of your next turn, you gain a +1 status bonus to the attack roll and the weapon deals an additional die of damage. If the weapon has a striking rune, this instead increases the number of dice from the striking rune by 1 (to a maximum of 3 extra weapon dice).

Status bonus stacks with Item Bonus for the attack portion, and Weapon Surge specifically says that it increases Striking and can target any weapon and not just non-magical, so I don't see why they wouldn't stack. Granted, its still for exactly 1 attack, so its essentially building up to a level 1 god strike that takes a full round to prepare and can still whiff on a 1, so while it can be effective, I can attest to the point that it rarely ever gets a chance to hit the table.

Admittedly missed the "Non-magical" part, thought you could still hit a +1 weapon with magic weapon to give it the Striking effect. If Klatzu couldn't Magic Weapon Dran-thil's weapon, would it have been acceptable to just have him Magic Weapon his own greatsword?

Asking because I'd love to swing with a +2 3d12 weapon this turn. ((Weapon Surge))

Klatzu looks at the ice, briefly contemplating charging out before noticing his much more nimble friend struggling to stand. Nope. Not for Klatzu. thinking quickly, Klatzu turns to Sylvia, channeling healing into her briefly before turning again to Dran'Thil. "GORUM BLESS YOU!" the goblin screams as he slaps their bastard sword.

Magic Weapon on Dran'Thil Bastard Sword, adding Striking to it since it is currently only a +1. Enjoy the 2d12 damage!

Getting my turn ready but I did want to point out that characters gain the ability to make a Reaction at the start of their turn when their Actions refresh, so even if you have something like Attack of Opportunity, you don't get a chance to activate it until you've moved as your character hasn't generated a stored reaction yet.

My idea from before but rephrased: Klatzu uses Lens Craft roll to aid another on the Nature or Thievery Check if he can't use the lens to acquire the ribbon directly since I am 90% sure someone here has a better Nature or Thievery bonus than he does.

Klatzu is untrained in both of those (+3 Thievery at best thanks to Level Bump/Mentor bonus) but is willing to leave the checks to Coptidel while he melts ice, or perhaps utilizing his Medicine stat for ICE SURGERY.

@gm: Klatzu had prepared an Alarm spell that he planned to use while sleeping to alert him if anyone tried to mess with our stuff again, not sure if you want to retcon anything for that here though

"Klatzu friends nervous. Klatzu understand. Klatzu friends need example shown how done. KLATZU GLADLY OBLIGE!"

Klatzu will pound his chest proudly as he accepts the Guidance, stepping parallel to the riverbed as he focuses intently. Suddenly, he charges at the pole screaming wildly, jumping up and grabbing the top of the pole from the side. As the pole begins to bend down, Klatzu's one-handed grip spins him around the pole a full 270 degrees, pivoting the momentum of the rebounding pole to launch him perpendicular to the river.

Athletics Check, +1 Item/+1 Guidance: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Klatzu is hero pointing so hard right now: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Screaming loudly, Klatzu realizes that he is not aimed correctly, re-grippng the pole as he swings wildly. Realizing he's losing control, he makes a last-ditch effort to plant his feet on the pole itself and springboard off, which, despite all odds, miraculously works!

Klatzu screams in triumph right before his head plants directly into the mud on the other side.

Klatzu doesn't have many ways to help here, but he will prepare alarm in one of his first-level slots for tonight's rest before checking in on the talk. If possible though, he will use Craft to examine the wreaked equipment for signs of human interference; e,g, some form of sabotage that couldn't have been done by, say, a caribou crashing through our tent.

Hearing about the glue situation, Klatzu will attempt to remember which team was the most recent to have attempted the challenge. Pretty sure its the Fangs of the Remorhaz, but just wanted to check and see if that was only flavor.

"Good thing friends give Klatzu excellent shovel!" Klatzu will lead in a frenzied rush , shoveling a path through the deeper snow where viable. After awhile, he'll take the time to hammer more scrap onto the sides to widen the trowel portion for a larger surface area.

I'd like to say Rope comes standard in the class packs, so I think most people should have a rope. That said...

Klatzu quickly checks his pack for the gear before realizing he left his crafting tools at home. Turning beet red, he will hurriedly find a vendor willing to sell a repair kit and/or blacksmithing tools. How Klatzu say Master Craftsman if leave craft at lodge! Klatzu need fix immediate!

If Klatzu can pick up a hatchet from the establishment as well, he'll cover that too. Otherwise he'll get winter clothes from the aforementioned old lady before spending any remaining time trying to emblazon the side of our sled with our team name, in full.

Klatzu laughs loudly before continuing, his voice slowly becoming more serious. "Of course, things be different if team cheat. Then Gorum would kill team mercilessly by own hand! But no one here do that! Klatzu tell! What a shameful cheat in face of eternal spiritual damnation by Gorum? Klatzu not know anyone dumb enough to try that. All seem very smart." Klatzu knows the people here are definitely smart enough to picked up his veiled threat, which is his intent. Klatzu will then sit up straight while grinning casually, trying to see more clearly out the side of the vehicle.

Klatzu has a +6 in society thanks to the Level Bump/Mentor Boon. Not sure if you wanna secret roll these or not, but he probably knows a bit about the area due to it being a popular location for Gorumites to prove their strength to their deity if he knows anything.

The near-frozen Goblin is somewhat slow to react due to the numbness in his face, but his excitement quickly becomes apparent as his urge to grin thaws the corners of his mouth first. After the address is wrapped up and he himself mostly thawed, he'll loudly proclaim, "This real vacation! Finally, Klatzu find divine conflict worthy his stature!" The conversation seems to have sparked something in Klatzu as he scans the room, obviously looking for something, before locking his eyes on the nearest refuse receptacle and hurrying over to it. After a few moments of hurried searching, he aggressively kicks the bin with a quick exclamation; "DRATS! No metal here. Klatzu need materials! How Klatzu make anything like this!"

Klatzu is ready to head out whenever, but he will definitely take the opportunity to buy cold-weather gear and to dump as much of the local scrap metal as he can find into his pack for what will likely be no mechanical use.

The door is thrown open a short time later as a short, noteably-less-blue-skinned goblin wades into the room, an impressive snow-flecked emerald scarf trailing behind them. It is immediately apparent that the scarf does not match the rest of their attire, as their armor and armaments appear to be made exclusively from scraps and trash. His teeth chatter loudly as he actively sits as far away from the fireplace as possible, crossing his arms as he waits impatiently.

Thank Gorum I here to fight. Vacation sound boring anyway.

Primal has two incredibly solid DPS spells depending on your build, being Shillelagh and Hydraulic Push respectively. HP deals a whopping 3d6 damage as a 1st level spell, while Shillelagh acts as a rounded up Magic Weapon for Clubs and Staves only that can boost their damage dice to 3 dice versus unnatural creatures (aberrations/undead/extraplanar).

Aside from those damage options, other good 1st level spells for combat utility include the freshly legalized Shockwave (15 Foot Cone of Tripping that makes targets that pass their Reflex save still count as flat-footed for a whole round) and Shattering Gem (If you know Defending Bone from 1e, it's basically that, throw it on your frontline as a defensive buff that has a chance of tanking damage before it reaches them, deals 1d8 to the attacker when the Gem hits 0 HP) both from Gods and Magic.

Also you get Jump, which is surprisingly decent battlefield utility this generation. (30' jump in any direction including up or diagonally over things, after which you fall; the kicker is it's only a 1 action somatic to cast) And Grease will always be a solid option as well.

Cantrips are pretty much what was said above, and admittedly I haven't seen what your summon options are like this level so some of those might be rad too.

To be fair, it is mentioned in a few PbP guides that since translators are easy access you can feel free to use foreign language as a posting gimmick if you find an appropriate time (I think at least one guide I saw was using the Arabic alphabet as part of a stand-in for Celestial, as an example.) Either case, I have no issues with it, so RP however feels natural.

I don't speak it, but feel free to roleplay in French if you have to negotiate with an adversary. Klatzu is a Gorumite Cleric, and one of his anathema is literally "resolving conflicts through negotiation," so if you want to roleplay negotiations in a language he doesn't understand, that is certainly one convenient enough work-around. Otherwise I'll come up with a reason like "Klatzu is busy tripping on the staircase outside the boss chamber."

Update: decided I'd rebuild Klatzu as a fresh Level 1 on my -2004 slot, in the hopes that I'll have an idea when Neutral Champions will be released by the time he hits level 2; -2002 is awaiting a rebuild going into its second level and is thus on the backburner for now.
