An player of mine who likes roleplaying wanted to play a Kalashtar character in Rise of the Runelords. I said yes and told him I would work out a background. The party (his bard died fighting Nualia) has just arrived at the point of facing Malfashnekor. My plan is to replace the Permanent Illusion of Karzoug with an empty vessel. Instead of Karzoug using Illusions to command his troops he would send messages through these Empty Vessels, and sometimes posses them as a means of safely fighting at the front. But with the demise of the empire the Empty Vessel has remained dormant for millennia. Until the time the party enters and disturbs it's resting place.

Now I'm looking for good ideas what could have possessed the empty vessel and gives it it's drive/powers (currently cleric of Desna). It's likeness to Karzoug will be fun enough, especially when they face him in the end, but I want to add another layer off intrigue.

So if anyone has any ideas or improvements I'm all ears. Next session is Sunday, and I really want him to have a interesting character (after mercilessly killing his last one :)).

Just to chime in, Scott thank you for your fantastic conversion! It´s a great basis for my 4th edition RotRL campaign.

Scott thanks for the work. It's a great help as I'm running the campaign in 4th edition at the moment.

Dungeon #150 arrived in the mail yesterday! Finally, I can read the glorious adventure that is Qouth! The Raven. Sweet gory bliss!

Still no Dungeon #150 in The Hague, Netherlands... :(

...They have the magazines at TPFG that we need to use to ship to you guys, so until we get those issues from TPFG's warehouse, there is nothing that we can do. We have been told that TPFG wants the magazines out of the warehouse, which we are thrilled to do, but I need them to contact my company in the UK so they can arrange for pickup. Once that is done, I can get you a clear timeline, but while I am at the whim of TPFG, there is not much I can do except continue to badger them...

Good enough explanation for me. Frustrating sure, but I'd rather wait another 2 months than never recieve it at all. Thank you for the update Lisa.

Still no Dungeon #150, >sigh<. I've sent a mail to Customer Service requesting a replacement be sent.

WooHoo! It's being shipped! Currently looking through the PDF and well... it's great.

Sadly, you're part of a select group that fell afoul of not one but two different problems. We've solved them, and your order should be going out today. We appreciate your patience, and are really sorry for the delay. We expect things should go much more smoothly for international subscriptions for Pathfinder 2.

Well at the least I'm finally part of a select group... that has to count for something :).

And thank you for the update, it is most appreciated. Things may not have gone smoothly, but the updates and commitment (working overtime, weekends, etc.) you all at Paizo showed to resolve the problems have guaranteed I'll be a loyal costumer for a very long time to come. Thank you.

No need to send further e-mails—Gary is already on it. We'll do our best to get the stuck orders moving as quickly as possible, and to ensure that this is a one-time problem.

Any status updates available? With every positive review or comment that appears on the web my hunger for Pathfinder 1 increases... please feed meeee... :)

I'm still in the race for this prestigious title...
Currently awaiting access in The Netherlands.

I'm guessing the problem with the order processing program (see Lisa Stevens post here)
isn't fixed yet?

Vic and I stayed at Paizo until almost midnight tonight and we now think we have shipped out all the Pathfinder subscriptions. If for some reason, you haven't received your email and don't have access to the Pathfinder #1 PDF, please email customer.service@paizo.com and let us know as there is something wrong with your sub probably.

Thanks for everyone for your patience.

Thanks Lisa and Vic for the effort you've put into all of this. I've sent an email to customer support because unfortunately I indeed have not received any confirmation email that my order shipped. It's status in my order history is still 'Converted Subscription'. I emailed Customer Support about this 5 days ago but still have not gotten a reply about it. I re-sent that mail just now.

Again thanks for all of your efforts up to now.

I recieved Dungeon 149 yesterday. Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope 150 will follow soon. Although honestly I'll probably have Pathfinder 1 before Dungeon 150...

Report from the Netherlands

Dungeon 149 - not arrived yet
Dungeon 150 - not arrived yet

Have a look at your "My Account" page, click on "Order History". As long as Pathfinder 1 is shown as "pending", you won´t get a pdf. I don´t have it yet, as well...

Stefan

Pathfinder 1 in de "Order History" doesn't even show pending, just the mystery status "Converted Subscription" (which does not appear in the Help/Faq). Well I guess I'll go back to refreshing the page hourly then :)

Issue #148 still hasn't arrived on my doorstep, is it too early to ask for a replacement? I'm missing my Dungeon fix.

It probably is a little too early to seek replacements for European subscribers, however, I'm going to go ahead and send you a replacement anyway to make sure you get it.

Thanks,
cos

Thanks Cosmo, I'll order something extra from the store if by any chance I recieve two dungeons.

That way I'll have a legitimate reason to by D1: Crown of the Kobold King...
*tries to refrain from ordering it now.

Still nothing here in The Hague, Netherlands... :(

My mailbox is Holland is still not showing a nice new shiny Dungeon :(
TPFG makes me sad...

Crossing fingers that the issues will arrive soon, my Savage Tide campaign is quickly reaching issue #148...

The spelldescriptions like those presented at www.crystalkeep.com (for example http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/rules/DnD3.5Index-Spells-SorcererWizard.pdf) would work on spell cards. You could have the rules plus a cool visual (or description tekst with enchantments for example).

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'll probably use the PC's as soldiers sidestory to both add to the number of Kyuss Spawn and add to the overall story.

My current party of adventurers going through the AoW, are going to have their first encounter with the Spawns of Kyuss at the end of EaBK. Because the party consists of 6 level 6 players at the moment I'm looking to boost the encounter with the spawn somewhat. First off I arranged for 4 Spawns of Kyuss to be downstairs, all 5HD and having the evolved undead template from Libris Mortis which besides the standard bonusses gives them Haste for 5 rounds once a day. Now I'm contemplating to further up the difficulty by either giving them a Death Throes ability:

Death Throes (Ex) wrote:
When killed, a Spawn of Kyuss explodes in a shower of worms and rotting flesh that exposes everything within 5 feet to Kyuss' Gift (disease) and covers them with 1d4-1 Kyuss worms (Reflex DC 15 half). The last save is HD based.

or give them the Vampire-like Fast Healing quality to keep healing (even when its hitpoints are reduced to beyond -10) until destroyed either by fire, remove curse or remove disease to remove either the worms or the necromatic powers feeding the worms and the corpse.

Which would you prefer? I'm currently leaning towards the Death Throes, just because the visual will freak my players out. If anyone else has any good advice or stories to what they did or would do in this situation I'm all ears (or eyes if you will).

I got mine today, my location being the Netherlands.

Could you spare me a digital copy too? Thanks a lot.

After adding four issues of Dungeon (#139 to #142) to my shopping cart I casually looked up the shipping costs to my adres (which being in The Netherlands added up to $20 in total).

I then proceeded to add the comic OOTS "On the origin of PC's" to my shopping cart. I then again looked up the shipping costs ($24 in total). Seeing the total cost of the order plus shipping, I decided to remove OOTS from my order.

I then casually clicked futher until I was asked to confirm my order. I again checked the order I found to my surprise that my shipping costs weren't the $20 I was expecting but $21,50.

Somehow my adding and removing of OOTS had increased my shipping costs by $1,50. I deleted my order and made it again, to check if I wasn't seeing things. But after adding just the four issues of dragon my shipping costs came in at $20.

Looks to me like something doesn't add up correctly when stuff is removed from the shopping cart. Hope this helps.
