Through the trees Natasha caught a flicker of movement. I was different than the swaying of the branches in the gentle wind that had forced her to turn her head.
It couldn't be...
But as she crept closer a familiar sent finally managed to be detected over the heavy smell of the pine. Deer, and not just any any deer. The White Stag, the very same that had guided a poor lost girl to a strange town all those years ago. The stag that had proven to the clergy that she was destined to be an oracle of Erastil.
She could see him and he could see her. No doubt was left in her heart, only one stag has antlers like that and only one has vines growing on his body. She put away her bow and stood, walking towards the creature, palm out stretched. His nostrils flared before he bounded off, stopping at the top of a rise to glance back at her. Natasha sighed, no chance she was getting a ride this time, she was plenty old enough now to walk on her own two feet and that damn deer knew it too.
She lost track of time but easily hours had pasted chasing her guide through the undergrowth, over rockfalls, and finally following that smug stag up a cliff. The large, antlered head motioned down and north of where he was standing, and with a slight bow of his head, the White Stag disappeared back into the forest.
Well lets take a look here, must be something important if Erastil sent him to bring me here.
She looks down, and sees a small encampment. She kept looking, knowing that her god is not know for sending his devout on wild stag chases for pure amusement, there has to be something. She lays there watching the bustle of the people in and around the area, as the sun starts to descend, she sees it. Four adventures, bound, are being lead into the camp. Now she just needs to figure out what she is supposed to do with them
I unfortunately do not really have any writing samples read to go; however, I would be more than happy to write a sample for an example of how I RP/write in general.
That being said I will get to work on an alias to submit a god for review.
I've read through the game play thread and I must say that I am impressed and excited to get to working on something!
Any areas that seem to need to be filled more than others?
I tend to enjoy playing some where in the Neutral or Lawful categories, though I am fairly confident in my ability to play a chaotic one if that is where the need seems to be.
DG, I probably going to submit the Kitsune rogue I've been toying with, there seems to be enough divine love that I can go off and play in a different class.
I will probably have her up later today.
I just realized there is only 1 other skilled at the moment, looking forward to being rogue buddies, Calardan. :T
Also, I'm going to be that person and ask about Kitsunes. They do not have a listed RP, after looking at them they do not appear to be any more powerful than tieflings so I am currently figuring 2pts for the race out of the 30 total for a kitsune rouge I'm drawing up. Of course if you have a hatred of that race, or believe that the cost of the race needs to be adjusted, please let me know.
I've been wanting to try out an inquisitor of Shelyn. Given her primary weapon would be a glaive, and she would be a back up healer, would she count as Jack off all trades, or as a melee?
I forgot about the time limit on edits so the description/writing sample along with the background will be in this post.
Description/Writing sample:
The sun is just now disappearing behind the horizon, the last rays glinting off the metallic hands of the clock tower. A lone figure sits on the roof letting the breeze tug at her cobalt blue scarf and comb through her soft, silvery hair. The few parts of her skin not covered by an old hunter green tunic are covered in constantly moving pale blue swirls, reminiscent of powdery snow being blown off a mountain top.
She opens her eyes as the sun finally vanishes until dawn of the next day, watching the town's residences below as they light lanterns and as the smoke from their chimney rises, most smelling of burning, but a few carry the scent of some families' dinner. The smoke stings her icy blue eyes, and with a sigh she climbs down and makes her way back to the inn for the night.
Background:
Shisa used to live in a coastal town known for their natural harbor that sheltered ships from harsh storms that ravaged the seas come Summer time. There she spent her time in the local temple to Gozreh as an orphan. She had a happy childhood and was well looked after the clerics there, possibly due to her seeming unnaturally strong connection with Gozreh and wind, even more so than they would have expected from a Slyph. While she was happy to help around the temple, she would often take her free time to explore the area surrounding the town, finding herself to be more at peace when away from civilization.
In order to try and give Shisa a connection to the town she lived in and steer her away from the path they believed her blood was taking her they gave her a human name. Fortunately, she accepted it openly and even now uses it as her name while she travels, unfortunately, the new name did nothing to quell her desire to explore and travel the untamed wilds. After many years of back and forth between Shisa and the clergy, they finally let her leave. She knew she would miss them and that she owed them much, but she could not shake her wanderlust no matter how hard she tried. It was a sorrowful event when the day of her leaving came, as a parting gift, the head cleric gave her a silver holy symbol of Gozreh, so that she may never forget her roots and adoptive family. She looks at it most nights before she falls asleep, whether out in the wilderness, or in a bed at a discount inn. She does not know when, or even if, she will ever return to that small town by the sea, she just knows that she has not traveled far enough yet.
