Primarily: They want to be a frontline combatant who can take/avoid hits as well as he deals them. High AC/Good saves with solid, consistent damage. Secondarily: Having at least some versatility is important; mainly buffs and different damage types interest him. If spellcasting to a degree is feasible he'd like some, however magus is off the table as its already taken. Tertiary: He only needs enough utility that he's not utterly useless outside of combat, being decent at social skills would be nice in this campaign.
A friend is playing a campaign set in Innistrad. There are no traits allowed and the only race allowed is human. We both thought the idea of beating up werewolves and vampires was hilarious, so he wants to build something with good unarmed damage. He's open to multiclassing and finds Soulknife, Bloodrager and Slayer interesting but he's open to suggestion. Magus and Inquisitor are already taken so he'd prefer not to use them. What would be some fun ideas?
I've spoken with the DM and I don't necessarily have to stick with slayer, but I'd prefer to stick with it and a I can do some multiclassing. It will most likely take us a while to level up and I'm not certain how long the game will go. I'd like to be prepared so that if we get past 6 I'll still be able to keep up with damage
Hmm, it's looking like I might be better served with TWF, as I'd be relying mostly on chance to find any magic item that would grant me another attack.I think I'd want to use a cestus and scimitar. Unless improved unarmed strike and a scimitar would work, seeing the natural attack route won't give me many options in this campaign. |
