Take 20 on all [Know(geog)+7] checks for this purpose as it seems like we've got plenty of time to discuss the possibilities amongst ourselves, if not before we leave then as we travel, at least until we get closer to Angur'khul. Apply penalties as necessary for out of date maps.

Jereru also pointed out that dwarves get a free feat at level 1. Maybe throw a teamwork feat in there since you weren't counting on it for your build anyway? Or not. It's your character :)
