Beth - I can't do the same trick as before, since Terrain Stunt is once per battle. If I get an extra standard action I could turn it into a move action and try to get you out, but then I'm giving up chances to hit and crit the baddo. Think I'm just going to risk it. For Dougie! Khel sees Doug fall and decides that, once again, he needs to get close to the massive storm giant. This time, he's going to smash it once and for all! He takes another step, arriving like lightning at the tyrant's side, his hammers swinging! The first strike manages to break the giant's kneecap, and the second smashes his toes, bringing the massive figure to his knees! Khellirin is just able to reach up to bring his hammer down on the giant's temple! The giant shakes his head in puzzled wonderment for an instant before the light goes out of his eyes and he crashes heavily to the stone. Elven Grace Check: 1d12 ⇒ 4 Blink check, 1-50 is good: 1d100 ⇒ 45 Stunning Hammer, Double Attack, Hrarsk: 1d20 + 16 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 16 + 6 + 1 = 42

Argrimmosh, Double Attack: 1d20 + 15 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 15 + 6 + 1 = 41
That's two crits and 223 damage!

Seeing Bethany fall, Khel shakes his head in despair a moment. I'm the only one who can get to the giant, and the best suited to hurt him. And maybe I can pull Bethany out of the mess she's in too... He takes a quick breath, then strides confidently toward the base of the massive pillar, his hammers spinning already, knowing somehow that he'll find himself at the giant's side. His reappearance takes the Storm Tyrant completely by surprise, and Khel lands a series of crushing blows! Taking a risk, he steps towards Bethany's still form where she lies on the brink of the massive pillar. Stepping off the pillar and hoping Fortuna's spell will carry them both, Khel reaches a hand out and touches Bethany as he falls! Move action with Blink to get up there, two standard actions to whack him a bunch, then use Terrain Stunt and step off the cliff, trying to Blink me and Bethany back to the ground. Hope I get points for a bold move and it works! Elven Grace Check: 1d10 ⇒ 4 Extra standard action. Blink Check, 1-50 is good: 1d100 ⇒ 37 Teleporting again!

Khel decides going toe to toe with the massive, lightning-wielding foe is not sustainable. He takes one more fruitless swing at the giant giant, then tries again to take an instantaneous step from the Storm Tyrant's perch down to where his friends are. Attack, then disengage and git! Elven Grace Check: 1d10 ⇒ 5 Rats, broke my streak! Stunning Hammer, Double Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21 16 damage on miss
Disengage check: 1d20 ⇒ 19 Blink to teleport? 1-50 works: 1d100 ⇒ 32

Oh, right. Thanks for clearing that up, Rob. Khel takes the longest step ever, turning his slightly frightened focus on the Storm Tyrant. He swings his hammer hard, but he's still a bit disoriented from the trip. Activate Lethal Hunter vs Storm Tyrant. Combined with FE, that puts his crit range vs this target at 14-20. Attempt to whack him! Stunning Hammer, Double Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17
Ah, well. That's 24 damage - 16 for regular miss damage, plus the 2d8 from the chargin' boots.

I remembered my Terrain Stunt ability, will also try that. Terrain Stunt check: 1d6 ⇒ 4 Don't get to use that until next turn.
With the frost and stone giants fallen, Khel turns his attention to their fearsome leader, the Storm Tyrant! He takes a step in that direction, and is shocked to discover that his step ends next to the towering foe! Uh-oh!
Male Wood Elf Ranger 8 | HP 160 | AC 27 | PD 22 MD 18 | Recoveries 6
Khel steps over the rubble of the fallen stone giant, his hammers whirling, and smashes the frost giant over and over, knocking him flat! Lots o' attacks on frosty! Elven Grace Check: 1d8 ⇒ 3 Extra standard action again! Stunning Hammer, Double Attack: 1d20 + 16 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 16 + 3 = 29
Argrimmosh, Double Attack: 1d20 + 15 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 15 + 3 = 33 That's a crit, due to Champion Favored Enemy (+3 crit range) and First Strike (+2 crit range)
First two hits do 142 damage, vs his 131 hp. I still have a standard action left this turn, and no giants in reach! Is there a way to get to the Storm Tyrant?

Khel should have 94 hp: the 49 he already had and the 45 he got from the last recovery. Plus the 40 temps. Edit: looks like you didn't update Khel at all in the tracker, not sure about the others, but he should also be listed as no longer on fire. Which is a fine thing.
Male Wood Elf Ranger 8 | HP 160 | AC 27 | PD 22 MD 18 | Recoveries 6
Khel leaps to his feet, managing to douse some of the flames running over his body as he moves. He digs deep, restoring some of his badly depleted vigor in the hopes of surviving this fight, or at least the next few seconds. Snarling at the fire giant, he tries to smash it with his hammer, but the devastating lightning blasts he's suffered are still playing havoc with his nerves and he misses. Save vs ongoing fire: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Elven Grace Check: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Extra standard action! Rally, DC 11: 1d20 ⇒ 17 Yay, get to heal again! Recovery: 8d8 + 9 ⇒ (2, 2, 8, 3, 5, 7, 4, 5) + 9 = 45 2 recoveries left today. Stunning Hammer, Double Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19

Quite simply, ouch. Khellirin drops to the floor, his body twitching as residual electricity courses through him, then going very still indeed. After a long moment, he stirs and groans, one eye opening blearily as he attempts to understand what's just happened to him. Death Save: 1d20 ⇒ 19 Almost, Beth, almost.
I know I get to roll one recovery due to the successful death save. I don't know if I also get the recovery granted by Hrarsk, but I'll roll it just in case. Recovery: 8d8 + 9 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 3, 6, 4, 6, 2) + 9 = 41

Thanks very much for sorting that out, Bethany. If I'm understanding correctly, I don't need to roll any saves and the saves I already rolled ended the two ongoing effects. If that's not what you said, I'm going with that interpretation anyway. ;)

Khel can't help but laugh at Bethany's clever call-and-response song, though his enjoyment of it is tempered a bit by her admonition not to whack the pudding which has harmed him. Nope, a place up in the Stanislaus National Forest called Utica Reservoir. We've gone every year for the last 10-12 years. It's an old reservoir, but feels more like a mountain lake with lots of rocky little islands. We paddle out in canoes and pick an island and that's our campsite. But we're headed to Butte Lake by Lassen instead, a new part of a park I love.

Does the description of the kilt mean we'd go from 3 recoveries to 6? Wowzer! I do admire that item. The armor and the axe would each give me a little improvement in their respective areas as well, so I'd take either of those also. Done with leveling, just have to add one of these magic items and update my profile accordingly.

Okay, so I can use an epic level slot to pick and adventurer level feat. And do things that expand the crit range stack? If so, against a giant who I'm attacking for the first time in a battle, and who I've chosen under Lethal Hunter, my crit range would be increased by +8. +3 to from FE and champion feat
Does that work? Critting on an 11+ could be fun!

I'm almost leveled up and, as always, I have a question about feats. I feel like I've asked this before, but I can't find the answer. At 8th level, I get one epic level feat. I know that to take an epic level feat, I have to have the lower-tier adventure and champion levels of the same feat. As it stands, the only feat in which I have both of the lower tiers is Favored Enemy, and I don't really want the epic tier version of that. Can I use my epic level feat slot to pick up something lower, like the adventurer level of Lethal Hunter? I know it's not as epic, but the only epic level I have access to just lets me pick another favored enemy, which doesn't seem all that epic anyway.
