Yup still here

I had imagined a busier docks. I figured there were 3 guys on this pier but a ton of people around the shore and other piers.

I move closer to the fisherman and flash a smile

"Hello there sir. How are you doing today? I was wondering if you know who's the owner of that boat over there?"

Mathallas, I'm not sure what part of what you're typing in Bold is actually dialog. Did Khalla actually hear any of that, or are you talking to Daniel? ;)

I was imagining things a bit differently but I stick with my action.

If I don't see any kind of rental establishment or people, I move closer to the boat tethered to the pier and examine it openly, in hopes of catching the owner's attention.

If people ignore me I untie the boat, get in and paddle around the pier to look for other entrances into the warehouse.

(Although you haven't told me yet which entrances are on the facade :)

Guys, from what I understood, we either get in a boat or what we see is the building's facade and little more:
"There is no way to circle the building, as it sits at the end of a pier that stretches 100' from the boardwalk. Unless you have a boat of course"
"Khalla and Storm look around the area, looking for any traces of suspicious activity, clues or whatever else that would give them an edge on the assignment they have ahead of them, but find nothing in particular that catches their fancy"

I start to move away from the place, since there's nothing interesting, and look around to see if I can find a boat I can rent or borrow

I don't have my character sheet here, but this is the roll:
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 19

First I scan for people around the warehouse. If there's no one around I'd like to circle the building and look for entrances (doors, windows) and notice their state (strong, weak, broken).

Well, if the correct alias was selected by default and if we could Edit or Delete posts where we made a mistake, it would be easier to do all that ;)

Is everyone on Skype? I think if we roleplay these chats over there it will be quicker. It's been a couple of days just to get the assignment and leave the store...

Not exactly the intro to the Society I was expecting, recovering smuggled goods for this idiot. I hope Captain Whatshisname knows what he's getting us into...

GM, that post on gameplay, was it meant for Laerkai only?

Gotta get to know this city if we're going to be here for a while. I hope we don't though...

It's such a beautiful day outside and I'm stuck in here.

Khalla is trying to engage the rest of the group in easy chatter, genuinely excited, tying to find out where they're from, what they do, where they've been, where they'd like to go, and mostly get a feel for their personalities.

I'm new to play by post but roleplaying this one question at a time to one character at a time might use up all the bandwidth ;) so, unless the GM objects, I'd say that all characters who want to engage in this conversation just reply to these:

"Hey, I'm Khalla, a cleric of Sarenrae. This is my first task with the Pathfinders, I wonder what it's going to be. Are you new as well?"

"Have you travelled much? Where are you from?"

"Where would you like to go? What kind of things do you like to do and see?"

"What do you do?"

As Khalla walks into the room calmly, with a serene face and upright stance. Her skin is tanned to a color that almost matches her brown eyes and hair, which is dreadlocked and visible now as she draws back her hood.

She wonders what to expect but since nobody told her much, she decided to expect nothing. This world is full of wonders and she hopes to get to see a good number of them. And of course smite down the not-so-wonderful aspects, with the help of Sarenrae.

She looks around, looking for someone to engage, someone in charge. If she finds someone, she greets them first, politely, and then moves close to the rest of the recruits and greets them, politely as well.

"Greetings, fellow Pathfinders. I am Khalla Sunseeker, a cleric of Sarenrae. May her blessings fall on you. It seems we'll be travelling together for a while. I look forward to it."
