Hey there, just had a couple things that are puzzling me.

The shipping for this one seems a little odd. As in, it's shipping in 3 different packages for some reason. It's also not using the cheapest shipping, which according to my cart right now would be USPS Priority Mail for $12.87, or even the second cheapest, using USPS First Class and Priority Mail. It's also using the slowest shipping, with both of the cheaper ones and all the more expenaive being quicker?

Despite my longstanding efforts to save a few bucks when buying stuff, I'm not really concerned about 8 bucks (or 1.08 for the second one), I'm just confused. Well, and wondering if it will continue; 8 bucks, not so bad. 8 a month, that starts to be an issue.

Even more than the shipping though, the charges are really strange this time. Ypu charged me 6 different times for 6 different amounts. They add up to the total listed in the order, but none of them match any of the individual charges for item + shipping.

Hey folks, had a couple of questions about this and I was hoping someone would know the answers :)

1) This doesn't actually use Forest Multi-Pack, right? Does it use any flip mats, or am I going to have to print them?

2) Are regular squirrel swarms supposed to be small? That seems... odd.

3) The final encounter in 3-4 lists different numbers of Sea Devil Scouts. The encounter says 1, the appendix says 2. If you've run it, would you suggest using 1 or 2 as the base? Or should I just see how beat up my table is before I decide?

If you're not sure of the precise correct answer to 2 & 3, but have already run it, please let me know which one worked for you.

I think they just forgot to list her. He says there are 18 pregens, but only lists 17.

I've a question that someone might have seen an answer for already.

I know that the Second Edition Bestiary adds new monsters, and the art style for some - and the iconics for that matter - have changed. Are there going to be new pawn boxes for that? Either a new "2nd Edition Bestiary Box" or a "2nd Edition Bestiary Box Collection" with just the new ones?

Hello Keylac,

I'm sorry we weren't able to stop the Planar Adventures book before it shipped out to you. If you'd like to return the book, we can absolutely refund the book and any additional shipping to return it.

I have created the order for your 2e books and will ensure they leave the warehouse promptly to limit any delay this caused for your order. You should soon receive a confirmation email for this order. Please let me know when you're ready for the order to ship and charge. Thank you!

Heyo Sam.

Eh, not worried about the Planar adventures. Tomorrow (Thursday) will work fine for the new order.

-Cheers, Dave

Okay, so according to an email, Planar Adventures has already shipped, so it looks like it's too late to do anything about that. Ah well, I'll survive.

What I need to know now though is when and how I will get the 2E books? Beyond just needing them to run games, I also need to make sure I have money in the account when they are charged.

Hey there. I just added new subscriptions for the 2E stuff, but it would not let me select the 2E Core Rulebook as the first for the Rulebook Subscription. Or more correctly, it let me select it until I got to the shipping screen, then changed it back to Planar Adventures. Since I already own PA, can you folks switch it over for me?

Also, I wanted to do the maps subscription, but apparently I can't get a physical copy of the Fall of Plaguestone anymore? Is that going to be an option again?

- Paizo-specific classes (the ones that really make it Pathfinder and not DnD 3.5) all come late to the party.
Partially addressed! The alchemist is included, which is rad, and a perfect choice, if they had to include only 1 “new” base class. But they don’t. They don’t at all have to include only 1 new base class. And they don’t have to stick to the original DnD3e set. They could have done a lot that would have made this PAIZO’S Pathfinder 2, like including the magus or summoner or witch in place of the wizard, or including the oracle instead of the cleric, or one of the occult classes in for the paladin.

I doubt there will be an Oracle, except possibly as an Archetype, since the Sorcerer is now the all-magic spontaneous caster.

Hey folks, does anyone know where the Pregens are located here on Paizo? I'm probably just blind, but I can't seem to find them.

I did find them offsite, I think, but I'm not sure they're accurate.

Dunno if anyone wants, but was cleaning up my player stuff and found them, so why not...

Have:
Xenophile
Technophobe
Prosperity
Xenophobia

Want:
I have no idea. Something interesting? Hell, I'd even take credit (if these are worth it, dunno) since I'm not using these and I'm still way behind in books.

This seemed so odd, I thought I'd check to see if it was intentional, or maybe a misprint?

Spoiler:
Dual Weapons (Su): At 7th level, a mindblade can maintain two psychic weapons at a time or a psychic double weapon, though each weapon (or each end of a double weapon) has an enhancement bonus 1 lower than normal. Starting at 12th level, each of the two psychic weapons (or each end of a double weapon) instead has an enhancement bonus 2 lower than normal. When using two-weapon fighting with two psychic weapons or a psychic double weapon, the mindblade can use her spell combat ability as though she had a hand free. This ability replaces medium armor.

Is this accurate, and Dual Weapons is supposed to get worse as you level?

Hey guys,

Back in 3.5 there was a cantrip (don't recall the name offhand) that allowed you to copy the text from one book to another (non-magical, of course). Quite frankly, this was always my favorite cantrip.

Is there a similar spell to this in Pathfinder? Or an item that would do it? I've been checking, and so far I haven't found anything.

Oh, and there was the time in the Cyphermage Dilemma where we get to the warehouse (you know the one). Deciding to try non-violence, I knock on the door and inform the gentle-being who answered that I was an inspector from the city, here to check for rats. Since these rats carried a plague that caused your junk to rot off, I *really* need to inspect the warehouse.

Despite having a 7 Charisma (yes, I regret this) I have a decent Bluff, and rolled a 19. The poor GM didn't know what to do, since they believed me, were scared stiff.... and still didn't want to let me in.

I was at Phoenix Comic-Con 2013, and decided to try out Pathfinder Society. I had the pleasure of playing Echoes of the Overwatched, run by James F. Mackenzie himself (who rather proudly informed us that it had apparently been voted worst map of the year, or somesuch honor).

I played the pregen rogue. I then proceeded to "rogue" it up over the scenario, carting around corpses, rifling pockets (did you know Nigel carries around some of his collection of gnome porn?) and finding out where the dead people lived so I could "appropriate" their stuff before the next of kin found out.

The crowning moment came early though, when I requested a rug from Nigel to help carry a certain body back from the Museum to the Grand Lodge for burial. Afterwards I kept the 700-year old rug because - who knew? - when placed in my quarters, it really tied the room together.

I think James must have been pretty tired by that point, because he lost it for damn near a minute. Good times.

What do 3rd level paladins call the Isle of Terror?

I do like the story - very Ustalavic - but I did have two questions, one of which someone pointed out before:

1) Who's the other older sibling? It says he has 5, 3 die, Vinn takes over, but the 5th is never mentioned.

2)Not so much a question as an observation, but: "Erasmus gradually identified each mysterious voice in turn, and finally understood they were the shades of his family—the spirits of his deceased brothers, father, and uncle—who endlessly dwelled upon the circumstances of their deaths".

Why don't his two sisters say anything?

Other than that, pretty cool.

Hey folks, quick question for ya that I couldn't find a definite answer to.

The feat Critical Versatility lets a human select a different critical feat "that you meet the prerequisites for." All Critical Feats (as far as I know) normally require Critical Focus to get. So, does that mean you need Critical Focus to temporarily gain one of them?

I expect that's the case, but I thought I'd ask to be sure, especially since Critical Versatility doesn't have Critical Focus as a pre-req.

Hey guys.

I'm pretty sure someone must have answered this before, but I can't find it anywhere, so here it is (probably) again.

When the Advanced Class Guide comes out, will you be able to apply an archetype to an existing character who's already past level 1? The additional resources page says:

Quote:
You will be forced to update your character—adjusting only the features that have changed, not rebuilding entirely—once the Pathfinder RPG Advanced Class Guide is released.

so I'm not quite sure. Does the fact that there were no archetypes mean it's a feature that's changed, or does it only mean switching the ability it already had to the final version of it?

- Thanks, Key

Basically, if I were come out with list in order of of the current 10, I'd rank them Silver Crusade, Andoran, Shadow Lodge, Lantern Lodge, Osirian, Taldor, Qadira, Scarni, Grand Lodge, Cheliax.

I'm curious about this; what evil things have you had to do as Lantern Lodge that gets them listed below three other factions, including the Shadow Lodge? I like the Shadow Lodge, mind you, but I've seen some of their faction missions; a couple of them frankly creep me out. I've (thankfully) yet to have to do anything I find the least bit objectionable as a Lantern Lodge character.

That, by the way, is why I'm so utterly unhappy that they're going away in a couple of days. :(

Hey there.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but I thought I'd ask anyways.

I've got a level 4 character right now. I also just played First Steps 1 and 2, using a Pre-Gen. Can I apply the Chronicles to the level 4, or do they have to be applied to a new level one?

I'm aware that you can play a higher tier module with a higher ranked pre-gen, and then apply it once the real character has reached the correct level. I'd initially used that logic to assume I could do this, as my character is high enough level for it to apply, but a more experienced guy I was playing with has pretty much convinced me I was wrong.

Oh, and I know it would necessarily be a good idea to apply it if I could, since I'd be getting low-level gold and items.

Hey, great! I'll have to congratulate him in person on Saturday!
