Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Watching as Karth catches the flying potato Kend wonders if it is safe, but seeing Karth is managing for the moment Kend looks around for something to restrain the creature with. Just then he hears Katherine call out to someone, and he turns and heads for the door to see what is going on, confident Karth can handle the tiny creature.

Move to the entrance way, weapons in hand are a warhammer and throwing axe.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

"It would be strange if the stinger caused him to sleep and this man just happened to provoke a stinging by laying on the bed... I doubt the thing would or could have put him there after it stung him. Perhaps something else has caused him to sleep through being stung."

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend sweeps his eyes about the room for a moment checking for obvious threats and decides not to advance any further into the room just yet, then begins inhaling deeply and cups a hand over his mouth in obvious preparation to shout.

Giving a chance for anybody who doesn't agree to stop me with a shush.

Uninterrupted:
Kend calls out loudly to the sleeping figure, "Hello There!"

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

"Being thorough is good, but what was THAT?" Kend faces the double doors with his sword brought up to the ready. "It didn't look interested in a fight but it might have friends."

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

With the way open, Kend moves to the entrance of the passage sweeps his greatsword low across the floor at the last remaining scorpion.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 142d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 2) + 7 = 10

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend advances to help with the new threat. As he scrambles to get into position he calls out over his shoulder, "Thanks Bucky" then turning his head back towards the corridor where everyone is gathering shouts, "It'll take more than that to slow a Nightfang!"

As Kend rushes forward he decides to cover Errigal should the scorpions get inside his reach.

Move to AU:81 then ready an Aid Another action to raise Errigals AC. Activating condition is when Errigal is attacked from anywhere within Kends reach.

Aid Another Roll:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend is Still Grappled:
Kend struggles against the claw's grip, desperately trying to break away.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Kend is Not Grappled:
Kend bellows out an unintelligible warcry and brings the greatsword around and then down in an overhanded blow. Then starts circling around the scorpion. 5 ft step to the southeast

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 212d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 6) + 7 = 14

Scorpion is Down/Incapacitated:
Kend faces the noises coming from the south and braces himself for more enemies to appear.

Total Defense Action

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Sounds good.

Kend glances again at the storage room and speaks up, "If the mold is dangerous than it's likely not much will happen here, we can always return another day more prepared to deal with it. There is still plenty we haven't explored"

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Sorry, I haven't quite been active.... I have been having a LOT of trouble with one of the college classes I am taking. I thought physics would be interesting and fun, all its been so far is overly complicated and tedious. I can get calculating what force electrons apply on each other. I don't get why they have a problem where there are twenty and we have to calculate the force applied to six specific ones by all the rest.

Though I have been very rushed lately, I have been at least checking up on what exploration was going on... just didn't see much that particularly required doing that already hadn't been done so I didn't post. Sorry again, I have just finished getting everything back under control and promise to go back to posting once a day.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend looks around for obvious signs that any of the Beastial Host that was encountered the day before frequented this room. I doubt the Beastial Host would get along with anyone else using a room so close to them. Although being who they were, they probably wouldn't interfere with anyone they were afraid of. I feel my self control being tested, anger rising up even though there is no enemy before me. Kend shifts his weight from foot to foot anxiously, clearly uncomfortable with the presence of the room. Then blurts out, "Well, maybe this is the reason the Host was here. Could this be a place dedicated to Lamashtu?"

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend will go along with the proposition to explore beyond the final unexplored door.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend stands guard out in the hallway, not sure that more of the Host arn't waiting for the explorers to return.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

"Well, is there anywhere specific we should explore? Or are there any suggestions for what we do next or for the rest of the day?" Kend looks around the group gathered outside the entrance to the Delve, hoping someone will speak up. I don't know where to start, but they might have a good idea. "Otherwise I feel we should just keep exploring, securing, and familiarizing ourselves with the areas closest to the entrance and working outward."

Unless there are any other suggestions Kend will head towards corridor 1 and start checking out the doors leading off it.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Well, I don't need anything at the moment. Are we ready to settle?"

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

If there is something you need here, then it would be best to trade for it. Perhaps we should first find out how much Fascher is willing to pay for each item. After that we trade, then sell everything left. We will simply subtract what Fauscher would have paid for the items you traded away from your share... Just try not to trade more than your share away, if you do by accident we can simply carry it over to the next time we split things up, that is, as long as you are planning on sticking around."

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Its like the season of crisises... in one of my college classes I had a group presentation that needed recording and out of the four people in my group, I ended up recording it by myself because everybody else had issues. It seems like everyone I know has had at least one major problem in the last month, whether its illness, accidents , or some other form of misfortune.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

As Kend-Krid heads back to the Lost Sheperd, he enjoys the quiet of the evening and reflects upon the present. The adventurers I wound up exploring the Delve with can all handle themselves. I may not have been at the top of my game today, but tomorrow I will do better. We got quite the haul today and after we sell in the morning, everyone will have enough coin to either stay at the Sheperd for a while, or move on if they decide the Dragon's Delve is not for them. I wonder if Kathrine and Errigal found anything out about those strangers. Well, we'll have plenty of time to discuss them when we divvy up the spoils.

If Zeldin Is Present:
Kend turns to Zeldin as they are walking and speaks aloud his next thoughts."Well, today has been quite the experience. When I heard about the Delve I got the impression that quite a few explorers tempted their fortune there on a regular basis. I was rather surprised to have encountered so many threats right there at the entrance. Though I heard the Sheriff mention traps, and truth be told I was expecting something of the like... I was thinking the early levels would be so heavily trafficked that they would be relatively safe. Of course both the cats and the goblins could have come in behind the last group and that room witha ghoul might very well be one of the traps. Well hopefully something else won't move in overnight and we will procede further in the future."

When Kend gets back, he checks with Judello to make sure of where he is sleeping and promptly heads there to fall asleep.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

"The timing of Chasmal's disappearance may just be coincidental with the ending of the bug bear attacks, something else entirely may have befallen him. I'm just glad Dressa has somewhat accepted he will probably not be coming back, it would have been uncomfortable if she were to ask us to go out of our way to find him. As it is, we will keep our eyes open... not that we would last long in the Delve if we didn't. It does no harm to have a bit more information of what we might come across and I do hope we can find Chasmal to help his sister be at peace. Well, that just about covers everything that needed mentioning. Thanks for your time."

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend nods in support of Zeldins words, not sure what else can be done for Dressa.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

"I would also like to ask, if it's not to much a bother, about what Chasmal was doing right before he went missing. The others as well... Did they go missing during the day or night, from outside town, inside town, or even from their own homes." Kend decides as he walks that the sheriff they are even now heading to see may be the better one to ask. And has an interesting thought. Perhaps Chasmal was the last one to go missing and never turned up because he was the intended target. Or he could have fled because he was responsible. No, I shouldn't speculate without more information.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

"It may be better to talk to him in the morning, we know where he will be. Unless you think it is urgent news... Do you think the Beastial Host would be provoked into retaliation from our earlier encounter? If they haven't moved against the town yet, they must believe somewhere they are not strong enough. Do these creatures care enough about each other to be enraged at the deaths of the day? Could they marshal their forces and coordinate an attack all in one evening? Perhaps it is best we go talk to the sheriff now, he knows more about their behavior than us and while the town might be safe, those outside the town might not be."

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Delayed Action: After devouring his venison Kend stands up, leaning here and there to work out the stiffness in his muscles, and then makes his way over to the deal making with Felgar."Do you two need any help with business? If the bargaining is done I can help round up the gear we are selling.

If the Answer is Yes:
Kend makes his way around the room gathering up the day's spoils and piling it up on an empty table near Zeldin and Felgar. "This should be all of it, do you need it moved anywhere?"

If the Answer is No:
"Well then, I am going to go wash up and then go for a short walk before retiring for the evening. Here is the swag I hauled back." Kend produces assorted gear from his bags and lays it out by Felgar and Zeldin. "If you need an extra hand I'll be back around sun down. Have a pleasent evening, I hope the business done tonight is satisfactory for everyone."

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend saunters up to the bar with a few of the others and answers Judello out of hand, "We did alright for the first day. Almost right off we encountered some of that Bestial Host that has been bothering the town. We dealt with them, but considering how many we heard there were, they were just a fraction of their numbers. Perhaps a patrol or check point at the entrance to the Delve ." Kend then apears to jerk in a double take, and a look of over dramaticizied horror spreads across his face. "You did not prepare the venison this evening? Oh how cruel the fates are to us weary warrriors. But surely if you were to cook then poor Murla would have to wait the bar and all of us would want for your company. What a conundrum, to be forced to choose to grace us with your presence or your cooking every day must wrench your heart. While I hesitate to ask such a burdened man to shoulder more woes by serving anything but the best in his establishment, my pitiful soul has fallen sway to the machinations of my stomach and I must ask that I have the venison nonetheless. And a mug of ale would do much to dull the suffering of my heart for begging this of you." As Kend finishes his silly speech a grin stretches from ear to ear, a bit of fun and joking always helped settle his nerves. Though the skirmishes of the day were swift and decisive, he failed to connect with his blows more than he cared to dwell on. The inhabitants of the Delve so far had been much nimbler than the foes he usually encountered in his work as an enforcer. He would have to start practicing more.

I don't have a preferred method of loot division, besides the obvious requirement of it at least resembling fair. I understand sometimes a piece of loot is perfect for a character even if it is worth more than the rest combined and don't mind temporary wealth differences as long as it all evens out in the end.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

"The town is close enough, why not just return there to rest? Staying out here just to save a few hours of travel each day, well, isn't really necessary. The Lost Shepard's accommodations are worth the cost in my opinion. Staying in town is safer, but I don't mind staying here if that is truly what you guys feel like doing."

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

"Are you sure we should open it? If it is trapped in there why not just leave it?"

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

I have never encountered the walking dead either... But aren't they considered abominations? Buckwell, I thought you said this place was likely a shrine to a goddess of the moon, supposedly the daughter of Desna. Why would there be such a thing here, especially with that symbol branded into it?

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend watches as the foe falls and takes another swipe before it can get back to its feet.

Two-Handed Attack
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend wastes no time in smashing his warhammer down towards the thing occupying the room.

Two Handed Attack
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Damage
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend follows and hefts his warhammer up, preparing himself for what was on the other side of the door... to be scratching at the door it would had to have been desperate or stupid... both traits of things that are difficult to reason with or placate.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend approaches the plain door that doesn't appear to have a lock, but being cautious decides to just kneel outside the door and listen for a minute to see if he can hear anything on the other side before he decides to open it.

Perception
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend remarks, "Well, no use worrying about what's in there if we can't get in and it can't get out. I doubt there is anything this shallow in the Delve that is worth extra trouble. Let's take a look around the room down to the south." Kend starts casually making his way down to the chamber in the south east.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

"Whatever is in there seems to just be trying to get through the door, if it were trying to draw attention it would do better by banging on it or trying to make some other ruckus." Kend walks forward towards the door to examine it better.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Back, Sorry I was gone for a bit.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Family emergency, I just got word my grandfather is dying, he has hours to a day and I am leaving town to be with him. Probably won't be available for the next day or two. Out of the loot the only thing Kend may be interested in is several of the javelins if they are at least standard quality with metal heads. And any holster/sheath/quiver that carries them... Don't know what to call it.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Still hasn't been a search of room 5 so I guess I'll initiate one.

"I can go on a bit longer, but if you or Katherine would like to retire back to town I am fine with that, in fact I think it would be for the best. Until we explore and secure a bit more of this area I would prefer to rest in the more secure comfort of the inn. It certainly is close enough." Kend gestures at the pile of weapons and armor taken from the dead and continues, "Besides, there is plenty of gear here that is worth scavenging and hauling back to town, we wouldn't want to be burdened by it or have it taken in our absence."

Kend turns and glances at the door he initially opened and remembers it looked like there was a throne of some kind within it along with eating utensils. Perhaps something worth a bit, "Perhaps we can poke around in that hall a bit as well before we go." Kend points towards the room to the north-east.

Kend is intending to just take 20 searching the room, which comes out to 24. If anybody helps out it will hopefully take less time.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

I am a bit unsure what the procedure is now that what has been found has been declared... Are we assumed to have already gathered all of this or is this a list of what needs to be gathered that is obvious and not hidden?

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Not wanting to let any get away Kend-Krid eagerly swings at the fleeing kobold.

AoO
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 181d8 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Dropping out of rage, four rounds used up. The beginning of the fight had me a touch worried, couldn't seem to hit.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend relentlessly lays into the foes before him, taking every chance he can to connect with his smashing blows.

AoO h1
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 111d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 181d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend, clearly having no luck with striking goblins, turns his violent attention to the kobolds standing before him. He steps forward and brings his warhammer down with an unintelligible battle cry.

Attack K2(Beginning 3rd round of rage)
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Damage
1d8 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend swings madly about himself as the goblins seem unprepared to defend themselves. The frenzy of attacks is fueled by an unreasonable anger that has been building up inside of him.

AoO

1d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Don't know how long you were going to wait for Karth this round before NPCing him so I am going to queue up my action. Kend will continue to rage. Attack priority on the second orc in front(directly north) of Kend Krid, followed by the goblin to the west.

Kend sweeps his hammer back and forth without pause, almost franticly, trying to use his longer reach to keep the goblins back while he is fighting the orc.

Attack
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Damage
1d8 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Skipping back Kend recovers from his swing at the fleeing foe's back and raises his hammer in preparation to attack the remaining orc, but instead finds himself striking towards a goblin who seems intent on running past towards the rest of the party.

AoO
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Dammit accidentally typed in wrong dice roll for damage, just woke up and wasn't thinking clearly. Here is hoping I can put up a d8
Damage

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

AoO
As the orc turns, Kend instinctively lunges foward to strike while the enemy's stance is broken.

Attack
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Damage
1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

I wanted to wait and see what Karth chose to do, didn't notice his post in the discussion so I'll post my action now, sorry for the delay. Going to drop the axe, enter rage, and then attack two-handed with the warhammer.

Kend decides the orc who appears to be giving orders should be prioritized and leaves the mutant to Karth. He feels his anger at his new comrade's wound overtaking his reason. Dropping the axe held in his left hand, he swings his warhammer forward with both hands in an overhand blow.
Attack
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Damage
1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Well that stinks... Oh well.

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Seeing the deformed woman step inside Katherine's guard Kend sweeps his warhammer at the enemy to try and force her back.

Attack
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Damage
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

As Kend-Krid rushes back he calls out,"Two orcs, a hobgoblin, and a mutant. Well armed. Empty throne, the boss might not be here."

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Looking around, it appears everyone is ready so Kend begins to follow the plan. He creeps up to the closed door, ready to bolt back to the stairwell at any moment. Once there he will try to open it quickly and loudly before heading back swiftly.

Initiative1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend realizes Zeldin is right and starts donning his armored coat. As he does so he remarks, "Definitely sounded like goblins... That is a sound a plan as any, I'll draw them out once everyone is ready and we'll make a stand at the bottom of the stairs. What should we do if any of them flee? We don't want them to warn others or bring back reinforcements. Perhaps I'll just be ready to chase them down, but it would be foolish to run off by myself."

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend heads back to the rest and whispers, "There's definately occupants in the room to the right, didn't hear anything from the room to the left though. What are our options?"

Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian (Superstitious)

Kend attempts to cross quietly to the other north facing door opposite and listen at that one before making his way back.

I don't know if this could be considered "immediate" danger, but I would like to take 10 on both checks. If that is not possible I will follow this post up with a post with my rolls so as to prove I didn't decide this after seeing what I got.

Nevermind I just realized I could go back and edit this post to include that message so there really would be no point. I will be on again in 5 to 7 hours to roll if I can't take ten.
